truly tragic news... though i only ever bumped into him ingame a few times, i knew who he was and how good he was, and this has me pretty dumbfounded.

On behalf of CRC I'd like to say that we're shocked and saddened by this. Personally I didn't know ioctl other then by his well deserved reputation but it's a sad loss to our community.
However, he's in heaven right now playing lag free Eve and smiling at us, I truely believe this.

23 is so young... I never knew him in the game, but he was a fellow Eve player and that is a bond enough right there. My condolances to his corpmates, his family, and his friends.

I must say I was truly shocked to hear about this. I met io soon after I started playing Eve three years ago and we were good friends even when we were in different corps. Although I hadn't talked to him for a few months, I knew him as a very kind and loyal friend who you could always trust on. It seemed like he was always there to help me out. This news has brought me a heavy heart and my prayers are with his family.

I hadn't known him but i've heard of him...just 23 and for unknown causes...that's just not right.

It is very sad indeed to hear of someone passing away so young. I did not know ioctl but had heard of him by reputation as a formidable and honourable PvP pilot. My condolences to ioctl's family and friends.

Its not often I will admire someone from the Internet whom I know almost nothing about, but ioctl has earned mine. He belongs to a very small group of people from which all other players should guage themselves in both skill and conduct. For his contribution to this community, he will be missed.
