This is not a thread for whining about the tournament, there are plenty of threads for that already. All I wanna know is what alliences do you think have the best shot of making it to the final four. perhaps provide some information why if you choose those alliences. I'm just interest in what people that give a crap about the tournament think about the alliences involved. Looks like even though it's only 28 alliences, we have a good mix of types. From large ones, mid sized ones, pvp based, even primaraly industrial alliences. I think there is the potential for some pretty good fights and possibly some surprises.

I'm Bias, but I think ISS has a very very good team. If we don't make it out of at least the group stages I'll be surprised and disapointed.

gota see what man are behind an alliance, an alliance can have very good rep but have those pilots that are doing the tournament are nobos, dont think that would be the case, but...well have to see who's actually playing for which alliance

And I fully agree, but everyone will jump on bandwagons and mention the "usual" names.

If you have a good team of 40mill sp characters specialized in certain ships and used to fly together, and the industry to throw slave implants and faction battleships around like candy...u will win.

Well ofcourse its gonna be d2 there gonna win.. Actually i think this hole tournament should just been cancel and give the d2 team the first price so we dont have to wait on it and we dont need to humiliate other people and there ego¦s..

All modules have to be T2 or lower, which is a smart rule imho.
ECM isn't allowed which is just stupid. Yes, it's overpowered, but then they should nerf it in a patch instead of artificially keeping it out of the tournament.
And they still allow having billions worth of implants which makes the whole thing about isk only. Any decent alliance can pick up a few hundred million to fit five good T2 ships, but only the big 4 can afford fitting every pilot with a full Slave/Snake set and since podding isn't allowed they aren't even at any risk

LOL, you think the "rules" will stop podding? "Oh, sorry, you were in the way of my smartbomb".
And, of all the people in this game - you're saying that only the big for ALLIANCES can afford to put 12b of implants in to their pilots heads? If that IS the case (I know pilots, not in BoB, that could throw that money at implants and not even blink) then they don't deserve to win it anyway.
Time for people to put their money where their mouth is.

If there is an allience who can not afforsd to our fit thier players with the ships and skills and gear to compete on an equal level with everyone else I would like thier names posted here.
I'm certain that I could solo such an allience as they are seeminly incapable of opperating as a team in any regard.

There's a big difference between working as a team, and working as a team, farming 10/10 complex. I saw ppl on escrow who sell faction gear and pirate implants at the quantities like NPC's selling Civillian Shield Boosters.
Working as a team is neccessary, but it's surely not enough.

My prediction for the finals will be:
BOB or MC in the Top Half of the brackets
AND in the finals they will meet;
In the bottom half of the brackets it will be The Red Skull or, if my internet dies the day of the quarter finals, Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate

Still too ISK-based for the tournament to even remotely accurately point out who is the most skillful team. Cutting away faction modules doesn't do much if your team got implants worth 10b+ and most others don't.
