[15] ahh i see that is in HLW-HP. Thats the system where u are camping the spawn points with mining drones etc out to lag people jumping in. It is also in CURSE, so the SA would be the attacking side, which means u are the ones camping grid boundry areas  BoB KillBoard |

[29] Most of the time, i'm behind the poor and weak ppl, trying to push them out of the ness and teach them to fly ... but ... I don't understand where's the problem. U went in fregate, in a low secure system and get owned ... so 1) what the hell u did there, noone tells u to stay in hi secure until u get a good vessel ? 2) I bet that somene invited u in a gang, and u accepted ... 3) 4 or 5 BS Vs a Fregate  u usually don't ever time to do anything but say "sh*t" ...Too bad, stay in safe zone, be a nice carebear, get enough money to got a good cruiser, the skills who goes with it and move with your corps. This world is large enough to spend many weeks in safe area without boring. |

[45] Am unsure how this can be called an exploit. We gang warped to the VOL gate.When we arrived there 5 RUS camping the gate and we destroyed 2. Can anyone explain what the exploit is because the enemy threats were there for me the whole time which suggests to me nobody was using any exploits. There does seem to be a problem with that gate as it took me 4 attempts to jump out of system later during the evening,but no problem at all during the actual engagement. Nice to see also they have fixed the lag enough with Fridays patch to actually make these fights possible too now. |

The jump in point is located pretty much in the center of the grid. Meaning that you can fly a circle of about 100km around the point and remain in the grid. CA tried to get us out there with, as i see it a good tactic. They warped in on all sides of the evolution forces, using several prepared bookmarks. However they didn't seem to prepare the bookmarks too well since some were too far away and outside the grid. And also because they were using different bookmarks and didn't warp at the exact same time they arrived slightly separated. Simple to say they got massacred. Then local exploded with accusations of cheating. GM appears and tries to figure out what happened. He checks our location, to see where we were in the grid and flies around us in a wide circle and even states in local that he could fly around us in a wide circle and that there might be a bug but is definitely no exploit used. 2) after a while we decide to attack VOL-MI and leave the spawn point. However the gate to VOL-MI lies next to a grid-border. As result our forces got split up, half of us could not jump while the rest went through. The players on the other side launched an attack at a gate at the same time that the CA came to the VOL-MI gate inside HLW-HP. Having out forces split up in 3 groups, 2 groups at the vol mi gate trying to get through and 1 groupt at the hlw-hp gate inside vol-mi there was a slight confusion and we lost 2 pilots at the vol-mi gate. The attack inside vol-mi itself was aborted and then re-engaged later after the confusion cleared up a bit. 2b) CA stayed at the gate, playing around with the GM a bit. At one point Stain alliance warped in and encountered the frig, since they are still at war of course they killed him. There was no mention at all from the GM to stop fighting. All he said that was even remotely close to a cease fire was the statement that if they think it is bugged then they should avoid fighting there. I don't see how this means a cease fire at all:/ Evolution on their side made it perfectly clear that enemy ships would be killed when encountered. This is how i saw the events yesterday, i do not claim that they were correct because i am not in CA and do not know their attack plan, but this is how it appeared to me. They lost ships, we lost ships. It happens. Build new ships, report the problem and take it into account to prepare better next time. At least thats what we will do next time we get split up like this due to a bug. |

[53] Joshua, if you look at that picture you posted, you can see my raven just behind the radar .The jump in point from vol-mi into hlw is absolutely fine and gm swoosh said so himself, however, myself and a few others did have problems with the jumpgate from hlw into vol-mi i.e. not being able to jump. When we engaged rus at that gate though, we had no problems seeing them, this engagement also was under the watchful eye of gm swoosh. If there were any problems with rus/sinister/moo/omega not being able to see our ships when they attacked, they are most probably related to lag. I'm not even entirely sure how the grid bug is exploited, but something was seriously wrong with the HLW - Vol gate grid, resulting in a rather awkward seperation of forces. I never exploited no damn bug, and I dont believe anyone in Evol did so either (at least knowingly). I've once exploited a bug (BRING IN THE LYNCH MOB!) back in Beta 3, which allowed me to bring in 2000 units of pyroxeres. Yes. I got two hundred thousand instead of a hundred thousand. I could buy a Bantam. Then a character wipe came, and my report resulted in the bug being fixed in the next patch. But I guess I'm a dirty cheater, and so is all of Evolution, based on a strange bitmap file from someone that thinks it's weird that his ship got mauled by three battleships. I am so sad. |
