Dark Shikari	Posted - 2006.06.26 10:22:00 - [31] One thing I've been thinking is that a lot of major IPOs in the next few months will be small IPOs. Character Training Industries was for 2.5b. This was for, what, 450m? O'Mara was for 1b. Everyshore was originally for a mere 120m. Arktaos	Posted - 2006.06.26 10:59:00 - [32] Actually O'Mara was for less than 100 million, only enough to buy a cruiser bpo. The shares got sold on auction however and reached very high prices. I think it's great to see lots of small IPO's around, makes investments all the more interesting.

I've been thinking about this question a lot since all the GPSx/SVE events. I think we're slightly overstimating the effect that a scam can have on someone's game life. Unless he uses "trust" in his business, and I can think about very few activities that need it, a scammer can often pass the scam unscathed or, like we saw for SVE, even gain in reputation. At worst he might have to change corp/alliance, but that's it, the rest will be mend by time ... few months and most is forgotten. Hell, the fame of "being evul" can be even something to look for, for many. What does a pvper, an agent runner, an npc corp member just to list few examples, do with trading scam reputation anyway ? What happened to those that had primary roles in the past stock scams ?

I don't think we're overestimating, if anything victims are overstating the effect. Alot of emotions and threats of quitting get thrown around in the wake of a big scam. I expect all shares were sold while I was asking questions again but I would never buy into a project where I didn't understand the business model. Hint to the next person doing an IPO: Include all relevant information from start, or have a few days of Q&A before launching the share sales.

Incendiary Lover & Dasumae are the two with the other 2k. Again, until Tuesday to pay or they fall to the next folks inline on this thread. So thats it, all done. Thanks to everyone for posting in here, sorry to Barbicane for not being clearer - will do better in future.
