I know nothing about this but it is my understanding that overpriced T2 prices will drop dramatically. Now from what I hear when an insured HAC pops then the owner gets back about 17 mil. Now if I follow the pattern and observe T1 insurance then that means HACs should become aroud 17 mil in price. To insure a Tier 2 Battleship its about 30-33 mil. Then when it pops you get back about 105-110 million. IF HACs drop to this price then do you think they will be nerfed? Or possibly the build requirements beefed? Because if they drop that low they will be cheaper then Battlecruisers yet a TON better.
What do you all think on this matter?
Also here is a side note, and its my opinion but I'd like to share it. I hear industrial characters complain about us pirates killing them and taking their stuff or "griefing" them and such. YET they get these T2 HAC BPOs and sell them at EXTREMELY obscene prices, so what right do THEY have to complain about US pirating them when they've taken more money out of our pockets then we've taken out of theirs?
Just a little rant. Had to get it off my chest. =============================================== Don't say to me over a forum what you wouldn't say to my face. |

More like, they put it on hold to experiment with "Invention" instead. New sig coming soonÖ By "soon" I do not necessarily mean "this year" |

Well, I suppose if you interpret "Initially for Kali1" to mean "When we release Kali1" instead of "It was supposed to appear it Kali1". Hard to say what he meant for sure, but I think it was the second. -------- Tom Thumb > for a nut case you rawk [04:21:15] Mebrithiel Ju'wien > Nik's bio 4tw btw [07:38:53] Graelyn > Nikolai for Dev 108!

It just means that for some reason(Codeing, graphics, bugs, imbalance) it won't be released in Sept with Kali 1, but might be moved to Kali 2 (Dec), or even Kali 3 (07).
OR it may make it in in it's own patch one day inbetween any of these updates.

How does the "INVENTION" thing I've been reading about work? I've looked for information but havent found any. Does anyone have a link to some good information or a devblog about it?
Thanks, Archie

No one really know how it will work. Well, nothing more than what was mentioned in the blog. You spend RP points for items needed to turn tech 1 BPC's into tech 2 BPC's.

Planetary flight was supposed to be in on Kali also, as well as about 20 other cool features. I fear all we'll have left of Kali (step 1) is the VOIP, bugs, and maybe one usefull feature.

Invention & Reverse Engineering ū Initially for Kali1 we wonĘt have reverse engineering. ThatĘs when you take an item apart and hope to be able to figure out how it was put together in hopes of making a blueprint out of it. What we do have is Invention. ThatĘs when you take a T1 BPC, some Datacores, a Data Interface and some optional stuff like tech 1 items and Decryptors then mix it all up and hope that they output a tech 2 BPC. ThatĘs right; you can research for a specific T2 BPC with invention.
The Data Interfaces are built out of items acquired through mini-professions like hacking. The real clincher is that the Datacores are bought from your research agents in exchange for research points. My fear here is that now with some work players will be able to have all the T2 gear they want but maybe itĘs time that T2 become a sort of baseline.

Hey, Hold your horses! I'm still waiting for Divisional Wallets to come into play that were supposed to be in Exodus!
To the OP, The reason why you can make a Killing off of T2 BPOs is because of Rarity. Pirates are a dime a dozen, and are everywhere. There's only So many T2 BPOs, and there's a lot of people with more money than they know what to do with.
Besides, I've never complained about Pirates doing their job. Note I'll complain about getting killed by pirates, but not Piracy in general. Never fun to lose your ship. Espically when in an unfair fight (miner Vs. PVP setup). Still, If it wasn't for pirates, there'd be a ton of newbies and "carebears" hanging out in .1 systems, mining up all the zydrine they could ever want, and putting me out of business.
So, Keep up the "good" work guys, Kill off the newbies, and support your local Mom-n-Pop Mining and Manufacturing Corps!
(/me watches as all the local pirate corps begin to gather around his most used entries into lowsec space)

One small thing to add is HACs will never cost 17 mil in price since the components to build them cost 30-35 mil and are likely to go up in price when invention hits since the demand for them will be so much greater.

If HACs cost even 75 mil, you'll find them being used for more than mission whoring.
