Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis.
(Grant them eternal rest, O Lord, and may everlasting light shine upon them.)
So read the opening lines of the Requiem.
Pie Jesu Domine, dona eis requiem. Dona eis requiem sempiternam.
(Compassionate Lord Jesus, grant them rest; grant them everlasting rest.)
So read the closing lines of the Requiem.
I am currently playing Mozart's Requiem Mass in D Minor in observation.
My deepest sympathies and condolences to all who were impacted by this tragic loss. I lost my aunt to breast cancer; she was 40. Words simply cannot express the sorrow.
I really like the idea of an in-game memorial. What about a new star system in CONCORD space, named Elysium or something likewise symbolic, in which there is one planet named after each of the EVE players that have been torn so abruptly from this world. Also I still recall the large memorial gathering for Rampage; perhaps something similar could be arranged. ----- It is well that war is so terrible. We should grow too fond of it. |

My deepest condolances.
It is amazing we all play this game and others like it from the safety of our home. WIth the benefit of annonymity. But yet without you even realizing it you start to form friendships with the people you play the game with. After time these friendships become so deep that you hold them in the same regard as IRL friends. Amazing truly amazing many of people I have come in contact with in MMO's have enriched my life one way or another.
The internet "wow" so much more than a gateway to information and entertainment.

I still haven't got used to reading true to life things like this. Kinda opens your eyes to the world around while your engrossing yourself in the game you tend to not think about the real harsh nature of reality.
My thoughts to her family and friends.

Don't know what to say, but I'll try.
Gutted for you and her. And of course, her family and other friends. Amazingly written tribute, it genuinly moved me. I hope the big 'G' had some good reasons for her for taking her early. I pray you get over your loss of her as a friend and get the point where you just remember the good times with joy.
I'll be silent at 17:00hrs egt. Respect.

Louise caused me nothing but discomfort and she eventually played a big part in my withdrawal from the Swedish channel. I did my best to avoid her, even when she was in my old corp briefly, and whenever someone was ridiculing me in Swedish I couldn't help my paranoia, thinking that it was one of her alts. I had nothing but contempt for her behaviour and I once withdrew from a gatecamp with her because I did not want to be affiliated with what she was doing and saying.
Still, I wouldn't want to have it any other way. She was, for a time, a very important person in my Eve experience. She had a huge part of changing my view on MMOs in general. To know that she is gone is a slight personal loss on my part, and definately a huge loss to the swedish Eve playerbase.
Eve has lost one of it's most carved out bullies and griefers (if you will), and that, my fellow gamers, is something important. Louise was very involved in the MMO experience. Just look at how much she affected me. Even though it was not a positive effect, it WAS an effect and I find that highly admirable. Her actions and words made me and others emotionally involved in Eve, and I wish I could thank her for that.
Daniel, jag hakar gSrna ps vad du Sn har i stanke f÷r framtiden. Rock on.
Griefing is to ruin a friendly game, which Eve is not. |

On behalf of Wreckless Abandon, I offer our condolences to all who knew this girl. Goes to show that the game itself is nothing compared to the bonds one sometimes makes with the people in it. I sincerely hope people remember that a little more. I spent some time thinking of something to post besides my own words. So I turned to one of my favorite authors. Hopefully she will like it.
You would know the secret of death.
But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?
The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day cannot unveil the mystery of light.
If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life.
For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.
In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond;
And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow your heart dreams of spring.
Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.
Your fear of death is but the trembling of the shepherd when he stands before the king whose hand is to be laid upon him in honour.
Is the shepherd not joyful beneath his trembling, that he shall wear the mark of the king?
Yet is he not more mindful of his trembling?
For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?
And what is to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?
Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.

My friend who would have done anything for anyone die of cancer, hearing of players here who have also been taken at such a young age even though they were good people at heart. I remember Hitgirl posting to all not so long ago that she had Cancer.
When I finally get my time, the boss up there is certainly going to know I have arrived. I will personally pin him against the wall and demand to know why he lets those who deserve to die live while those who deserve to live have to die so young.
My heartfelt condolences go out to all those who were close to her and most of all to the loved ones she has left behind.
Rest in peace Louise.
Just remember Death is KOS if you're camping the gate up there, we don't want him down here taking any more lives from us.

I was gonna say what a loser you were, and I don't think I should anymore, because to be honest, that story was kind of good.
It sucks when people that young die, but death's just another part of life, and good thing she didn't tell anyone about her cancer because then people would treat her for the weak person she was (apparently) not.
Hope you and her family don't mourn for too long, carry on your lives normally.
Quote: But if i know Louise right she dont want us to just sit and die in sorrow, we have to continue with our lives, i will eventually.
Sooner better than later, there's no need to forget her completely, just dont stick to that too much.
Quote: And if i know Hitgirl right she sits outside the gates of heaven in her sniping ship ready gank innocent bypassers, just as she harasd many of us in this eve-community.
In that case she wont be in Heaven mate :P
Quote: She was a fighter and she will continue to be it, so when i get to the gates i hope she reminds me and spare me 1 clone..

It is strange you play an game, you join an corp, you get to use teamspeak or what ever, you build up trust, friendship and honesty....and work together and when they are gone...you know the hole they leave behind...
I wish all her family friends all the best.... I think I did bump into hitgirl 1 time she just wave hello...then I jump..... ( i think)
