Today, I lost a ship to a pirate. I lamented to my corp channel that I got careless near the shut-down time. I forgot to check for local = 0. Then I said "oh well I buy another ship and becafull next time. The people who do piracy must be abused in real life. Why would they be so mean to others in game."
A player in my corp was an ex-pirate with a sec rating of -1.2 got upset with my comment and got into a verbal fight with me, threatened to kill and pod if we meet. (verbal fight = blah blah blah)
His/her friends were ganging up and will ask the corp leaders to kick me out of the corp for my care-bear view. Also they said I am on a trial account anyway. And they made jokes to pirate and ransom me for 1 ISK. So, being a new guy for two days in this corp, I think I won't have a chance.
That was not nice. I lost the desire to play this game and won't play any more. There are some mean people out there, even though they are not pirates. They could be very well your corp-mates and will abuse me.
After the server comes up, I will leave the corp and then quit game.

On the other hand, on the tiny offchance that this is genuine, get a new corp who will accept you and your opinions. Either that or stop slagging people off in real life because they killed you in a game. Not bound to win you friends, that one

Yep, clearly seems they need to start with the personal insults. Maybe a big banner saying 'BIG BLUE - PIRATES ARE ALL CHILD MOLESTERS' or maybe a campaign of sending letterbombs to their real life addresses.

Let me explain something: You are playing a game that gives you a spaceship and the ability to shoot other people down.
By a small, tiny even microscopic bit of thought it would have occoured to you that there will be people out there shooting at you! Bye an amazing strectch of your logic circuits it would have been obvious that sooner or later you would meet one of them and that they would then try to kill you.

Did you not consider having a chat with a director of Eve University to try to resolve the problem? Eve University doesnÆt hold witch hunts, ejecting members on hew and cry of others. Thus do you not think such would be a more productive route than immediately running to the forum gush with an over the top emotional post on how awful the mean people at EU are, that after you cast a vague insult at someone they over reacted and responded in kind?
Oh well, at least you seem to have provided some entertainment over a hot Monday lunch time for the forum denizens.
I hope we can work out the situation, but if not that you find another corp and continue with the game.

You are missing the point. I am perfectly fine loosing my ships to pirate, nor I seek revenge on them. I estimate I can replace my ship in 2 hours, no big deal.
The issue here is the very own corp-mates that would gang up against me. That's the issue. So in this game, you said some thing that insult some "strong" players, they will kick, threaten to kill me. That's the max they can do now.
Would they continue to persue me to any new corp? I don't know, I think it's best that I quit.

I dont even bother to read the post, but what is the difference between pirates and anti-pirates? They all use the same tactics, the only thing pirates do better is getting paid for it in isk, not just satisfaction.

That comment was just stupid. Guess my response in corp chat would have been just:'rofl'.
I wouldn't have threatened you for such comment, but if it turned out that you get really too upset by getting killed in EVE and really think those 'mean' people have RL problems, then we would have told you to find a new corp, because you just don't fit in with that attitude.
