Don't forget, Caldari mission runners have it VERY easy. They have MANY stations where you can't find multiple combat agents of the same level. This allows you to take a couple of missions, undock, run the missions and return to base. A MUCH faster way to work this. The other races have at most 10 of these stations while Caldari have 10'S! (see the 's'?)

Well look at your choices:
Amarr - Look like their faces have been shoved in toasters and then ejected only to be molded by an Oompa Loompa into what SEEMS to be a face. They look evil too.
Minmatar - Only one choice. Lenny Kravitz or bald Lenny Kravitz.
Gallente - You can be a very uhhh, "out of the closet" looking Male or a dirty looking male. Or you can be a female doing the same thing. Or you can opt for headgear.
Caldari - Look the most like normal people plus it says they use missiles and shields.
I chose Amarr because they were "evil" and I liked the idea of lasers and slave trading. I started out in eve trading slaves

A few misconceptions in this thred:
The largest makeup and hygiene product market can be found in Gallente space. Second largest is the Amarrian upper class. Smallest market, besides the pirate factions, should in fact be Caldari. Why? Who cares about eyeshadows, lipsticks, and parfumes anyway? Smelling and looking good never got the work done. Not smelling bad is more important.
Gallente is at the moment the only empire faction with a clear leader, although in election period. To use Gallente lack of leadership as a truncheon against Gallente is a bit silly, only Caldari rival Gallente in leadership and legal system, where Caldari have strongly fractured leadership structure in it's top hierarchy but stronger lower level hierarchy. In fact, the Gallentean legal system is unrivaled, period.
The Minmatar have... less beautiful ships I will be last to deny, but to make any claims of Caldari having any more beautiful is pure nihilism for Caldari people.
While it is true that Caldari put their noses everywhere they don't belong, it is not true that no one noticed it. Hence why Gallente kicked Caldari out and took possession of Caldari Prime. Caldari just couldn't help but try to work their ways around all those irritating safety and security agreements in the Federation charter.
And who cares about morality. Or about labour working conditions (and I'm not talking about slaves).
Yes, it's not very nice, nor smart, to insult people as a group.
In closing, I find it extremely annoying that CCP continues to have Caldari being the supreme powergamer race - it's enough that they are, as described, the most militaristic race and therefore naturally apeal to the less... how to put it nicely? Suffice to say that Caldari has a certain attraction that tend to go away when you start realizing that life is more than being large, dumb, and wielding a big sword.
P.S.
If having a rather strong and negative oppinion about a certain group of people because of ethnicity is called being a racist, then what is having strong and negative oppinions (and expressing them in public) about a group of people due to nationality? It is a bit offensive how some people go on about french people.
A petition to the devs: add the Alpha Centauri French line to Caldari, too, to signify an even stronger shared ancestry. Or even better, remove any and all real life national descriptors - even though the damage has already been done.

In regards to caldari appealing to the "less...", maybe you need to rethink that. The Caldari appeal to most people because they are the only ones that they can relate to "most" the time. They look the most like "normal" people, and relate the most to the playerbase IRL.
To the PS part. If you think the french have it bad - Look at the Minmatar. CCP made the minmatar TRIBAL people =P
