As your customer , can i have answers to simple questions.
In the near future , so less than 3-4 months CCP will make changes to :
- SOV
- Capitals and Super Capitals
If yes , to what degree.

Eve just got a new Executive Producer who promptly gave interviews on the future of Eve as well as an AMA on reddit. This very question was asked by them and answered in vague ways. But keep plugging away here on the forums, maybe you'll get a scoop!

After 10 years of that, i am willing to give the new system a chance, they will get crap done when its done, not before, and give us information based on what is actually feasible. well like it's ok to like change stuff around but like i want it to be like more small scale. like limit sov for an alliance to a constellation or like something even smaller. like they need to nerf some things to do this but like it would be awesome to like have like a 10 man gang like hurt the goons or something. i like support this and like really want to know like how CCP is gonna like change this before they like make the change so like pilots like me have like a chance to like post critical comments on you know how they are likely to screw it up. |

What the hell is a 10 man gang going to do to the 500 dudes in local because the entire Goon alliance is crammed into one constellation? What is actually going to happen is that ten man gang is going to find nobody in null because everyone is in Empire grinding L4s on a neutral alt, because running missions is the only thing that will scale with the amount of people needing to make ISK. Good job driving everyone out of null with your stupid idillyic vision of nullsec, that can't support more than 10 people in a system as it is.

If the task was either small or simple, I'm sure things would have already been done.
Reworking null sec is a huge job and I would rather CCP take their time and get it right so that it works.
Giving arbitrary deadlines helps nobody. We all know that they know it's broken and are looking at it, what more can they do?
Isn't it more of a case that the meta is broken rather than the game anyway? The meta has led to the blue donut, not actual game mechanics.

So basically nothing will change and thanks for pointing out that any change suggested by CFC should be thrown away, since you spend most of your time in High Sec, Grinding LVL 4 missions.

First of all - people where raising issues with current SOV and capitals for YEARS, and all those items put us in current situation.
For years the where ignored.
I'm aware about new Executive producer , im also aware that one of the things CCP wants to change is something about sov and probably capitals.
We don't know what will be changed, or when.
like i stated before , issues about sov and capitals are nothing new - so im asking for commitment , deadlines from CCP side - as we where ignored for last years.
Without knowing what CCP will change we can wakeup in 1 year with grate SOV fix made by CCP:
1. 50% more in sov cost
2. max 50 systems per alliance
3. smaller range of JB
4. capital fuel usage increased by next 50% , range reduced by 1/3
so stuff that will not change any thing , as :
ad1 . Renters will just pay more ,to cover all empty space
ad2 . Instead of 1 alliance holding 500 systems we will have 10 holding 50
ad3 . People will put more JB
ad4 . 2 rented systems -1.0 ad 4-5 r64 can still pay for all capital movements

Be careful what you wish for. Think about it for a moment. Think about how long it took them to rebalance hacs (hint: they're still doing balance passes on them). Look at how long it took to do the cruisers. They still haven't gotten around to recons.
Now look at dominion sov. We've had to live with that for what, four or five years? Odds are we'll have to live with the new sov system for at least that long. And dominion sov most assuredly took longer than 3 months to develop.
You know what happens when game devs rush to release? They usually push out total crap. Seriously, a rushed development cycle and a quality product are almost mutually exclusive. This holds doubly true for mmo content. And this is doubly true again for Eve. You know why? Because whatever they push out, we're gonna have to live with it for years. Personally, I hope they take their time and do it right. Because those changes to caps, supers, and sov will shape eve for years to come.
What is with all of the toddler tantrum "I want my toy now!" threads of late? James had one a week or two ago, demanding a comprehensive capital, supercapital, and sov update in 6-8 weeks (when hyperion releases) lol. Most of you are adults, with something that passes for a brain sitting inside your skull. Rub your two neurons together and think before you post. |

Also kind of funny the growing bandwagon about SOV and Power projection nowdays, and most everyone in null, did this to themselves.
Lets create huge rental empires, cry about sentries (certain group), which make the grind slower, then demand CCP fix's it all for us.

Sure the place we are in now is mainly due to a few select people who control most of null preferring to have agreements to earn massive amounts of isk and organised good fights instead of beating the **** out of each other, but on the other hand Sov Mechanics are so terrible that this was bound to happen.
