Dragonmorph	Posted - 2006.07.16 18:42:00 - [1] Yesterday the FLA was contacted by Remedial of Goonswarm with an offer they asked us to consider. The offer was for FLA to betray it's partners and leave it's home in Deklein Region in return for a small part of Cloud Ring, along with some cash and assistance to do so. He further said that if we did not do this, his alliance with others would take control of the North Because FLA is a true democracy, we put that proposal to our membership. I am pleased to announce that every single member of our alliance chose to stay with our long standing friends, and to continue routing the region of the corruption and duplicity that has been so prevelant of late. I am further pleased to confirm that the campaign is proceeding ahead of schedule, so we would suggest that Remedial and his alliance skip this phase of his planned Eve domination and move on to his stated next target, Band of Brothers. I'm sure the answer from them will be similar

The main thing is that we stick by our allies, and so the ones that are worth having then also stick around. Didnt you say that when sparta fall you can blame it on MC and friends rather than you guys not coing to their rescye. I think it would be prudent for all potential allies of goonswarm to remember that they will use you and toss you aside at teh first oppurtunity. Now this doesnt reflect the goons themselves rather their leadership... or to be precise a small segment of their leadership. Maybe goons soudl practice what they preach and rise up against their leadership and kick themout. maybe then they can actually join teh rest of us rather than being outcasts.

Please see The Mittani's post here. There is a big difference between plotting out all possible outcomes, and casting aside our allies. AFAIK we have no intention of abandoning SPARTA, and we will continue to support them no matter what the odds. Hey guys, I hear that the Mittani is in charge of intelligence at Goonswarm, and that he examines situations from both a best and worst case perspective! It should be blindingly obvious that we would prefer SPARTA to succeed, but you D2 alts can't seem to grasp that. Analysis is part of my job. Like I said in another post already linked here, a director had questioned our alliance with SPARTA, and I pointed out that it served our interests to ally with them even in the worst case scenario. That said, you may now commence panicking that someone looks at the game from a realpolitik perspective. It's always an offensive concept to those with delicate sensibilities, and that's ok, I understand. ^_^

Despite what the majority of the corporation forums seem to think, in the past we never condoned alt posting, and in fact a lot of people are angry at Bitter Vet for all of the mouthing of he has been doing (and he knows this if he, is, indeed, an alt of a GS member). Just because it seems to be a goon alt, doesn't mean what he's saying is what any of us believe OR that he even is a goon alt. May i say on behalf of NE-XT, that we've done with NFC, it was never meant to be this way. As for sparta, its a shame, suicide is never nice to watch.
