They loged in other sys and cynoed in, quite different, no ?

perhaps it was a trap but on the other hand a good cap fleet is fitted and fueled to engage if they are needed. many of the capital pilots are loged off or use other accounts/alts if they are not needed. there is no point to have them online if you dont need them.

Indeed, but you'll find after many capital ship operations, that having 20 capital ship pilots log on within seconds of each other is quite a rarity.
The level of coordination involved with something such as that indicates it was a trap.
The tactic may or may not be fair, that's not for me to decide. I do think it's comparable to logging off whilst (or just before) being engaged. No less than an act of cowardice. But when RA is involved, how much more can you expect?
