Edited by: Karunel on 23/07/2006 00:51:05 If that's a log in trap, no congrats for you. Actually I'd hope ERA got their dreads back, because log-in traps are IMHO, total exploits.
Otherwise, GJ.
Edit: At least you didn't log-in on top of them, semi-grats.

No this is totally false. It was 11 dreads. RA logged on a 12 dread 10 carrier fleet and cynoed to us when we were attacking one of their stations. Most effective log on trap ive ever seen, grats. __________________________________

Confirmed.
RA logon trap.
We went into siege, they logged 15-20 cap ship pilots on immediately, cyno'd in, dropped bookmark bombs, killed 10 dreads and lost 2.

I noticed the mass login from many jumps away (multiple RA in address book) minutes later the news broke.
congrats RA, or not congrats, depends on your views of login traps really

Coming up next sizable anti-RA coalition loss: "RA logged on. It was a trap. Petitioned, hoping GMs forbid all RA players to log on at all."
To RA et al: nicely done, and yarr :)

Funny how only RED and RAT refer to RED as a dead alliance.
Log on trpas are lame, but I guess props for the kills, but kinda a hollow victory, and not like its going to change anything for RED.

Ouch. The fact they had to be cynoed in, well, not a total oldschool log on trap.

New rules for fleet-fights in EVE!!! Only 10000 isks for copy! Here you have first 3 to try: 1. If enemy is in siege mode in system - no cynos at all! Never! 2. You have to be ALWAYS logged in when somebody is attacking your POS/Station. 3. You have to announce that you will/will not defend your POS/Station at least 1 day before somebody want to attack it. ...to be continued! Any brake of theese rules is exploit/bug/hack.
GJ RED. Want more to come!

So.. they logged in in a completely different system and then jumped to you? GL getting your ships back.. I petitioned once to a conventional log-in trap where myself and a friend jumped into a system following 2 hostiles, we had a scout in that system who verified no-one had come into the other gate and yet as soon as we jumped in, 7 more battleships appeared.
The first response to the petition was "yes, that's an exploit, send me the names" the next was "my colleague was incorrect, this is not an exploit, I'm sorry but there is nothing we can do" and this was backed up by a third, confirming it's not an exploit.
So.. that was people logging in and killing us in the same system and wasn't regarded as an exploit... I'll be very surprised if you get anything back from the GMs.

Despite the appauling logon trap, it was great fun to fight in a capital shootout like that, even if we were totally out gunned.
Watching over 20 wormholes open up around you and a large number of big red squares pop out of them is not good for the digestion
Still, at least we took a couple with us!

It was a logon trap, regardless of how you look at it - and it was pathetic of RA. Down even further in respect.
And no, no beaten record - RA lost 11 at once also, remember. That fight was most annoying as I was watching The Apprentice at the time, and therefore missed it. Damn I was ****ed off. --------

Well, logon or cyno it wouldn't make a huge difference surely?
RA is picking their fights and commiting capital ships (even if it is gank). Credit where it's due, well done RA. It's coalition task to wisen up now you're actually brining it with new all-capital battles

EVE is heading for a world of pain for CCP on this issue.
I'm wondering, are login trap legal? Based upon the general inaction by CCP on the issue, my guess is yes. I'd love to hear from a GM a simple yes or no. If it is a yes, once other alliances get in on the act, CCP might consider hiring another 100 staff for its already overburdened petition system.

Call me a liar, but I'm pretty sure I saw an ERA friendly post today stating that it wasn't about fair or enjoyable fights, it was about winning.
So when ERA lose a stack of cap ships to RA, all of a sudden the shoe is on the other foot?
We all play Eve by the mechanics of the game, someone that can win by playing within the mechanics is a winner. Someone that loses as a result is a loser.
It is that simple.
