Then if its all warping how do you PVP?? studied the tutorial and i was like WTF it will take all my trial period just on the tutorial. Now now dont get me wrong iam a ex WoW player looking for a good mmorpg, but is this all click on that area to move etc? can i use WASD keys? Its like chest in space.

You can read it in a couple of languages too if you're not comfortable with English. The tutorial and the following missions yield about half a million Isk and a basic understanding of the game. The other areas of the game basically all follow the same way to interact. When Aura tells you to use a rightclick if you're sure how something works, wshe's right most of the time grins Welcome to EVE! --==*-- Even with nougat, you can have a perfect moment.

If you want to stay close to a ship, use the orbit, or keep at XXX range options in your overview. EvE has a VERY steep learning curve if you are comeing from one of the simpler MMO's like WoW. It will take you a week or 4 to get used to it. Take your time. Get comfortable with it. You will be rewarded in the long run. Ohh, and don't expect to reach lvl 60 in a few months. This is a long term game. Think half years/years for your planning :) Ohh crap.. Ok. First, there are no level as you know if from WoW. There are skill points which allow you to guestimate how long someone has played, but those skill points could be in combat skills, tradeing skills, mining skills or corp management skills and so on. you can PvP right from the start. But I would HIGHLY reccomend that you use the 14 day trial to learn how to play the game before you go out and become a target for someone's guns. You WILL die if you can't even navigate around. You might get killed by a carebare for cripes sake.. Learn to play before you PvP.. Crawl first, then walk, then run, then ask for the keys to daddy's space ship. Brotherhood of Light. These commands include "Approach" and "orbit". These 3 modes of navigating are used to manuver your ship in PvP also. No WASD here as space is 3D. Just keep at it, it will become second nature to you.

Ship movement is almost solely controlled via mouse. There are no keyboard movement orders that I know of (execpt of stopping....space bar I think). If you tell your ship to go forward towards a certian direction it will continue moving in that direction until you tell it to stop. You do not hold down a button to "move forward" and release the button to "stop". ---CAMERA CONTROL--- Hold down left mouse button to move the camera about the object you are focused on. Use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out. Alternatively hold down both left and right mouse buttons and move the mouse forward and back for zoom. Hold down the right mouse button to rotate the camera while maintaining it's current position in space. If you hold the left-mouse button down after the camera is off the focused target, you can zoom in and out on an non-focused object. Select an object in space or from overview. Right-click and select "Look at". This will shift the camera focus onto that object. At any time you can right-click in space and select a reset camera command that will put you back to the defualt position. ---SHIP MOVEMENT in local space--- - Double left-click to have your ship move in that direction of space. This is the most general purpose movement command in your local space...kinda like manual control. - Select an object and either right-click or select from the overview icons. You can choose to approach the object or obrit the object. - Hit spacebar to come to a full stop. Instead you'll need to fly with some more experience pvpers and more than likely you cover the critical role of "tackle" where your job is to make sure your target can't run away during a fight. In about a month you'll be on par with other players in a frigate/cruiser fight. ...and yes, we do sell and deliver ammo. 425 Express Delivery is available upon request, please see Hans Gates and Marcus Grisbius regarding this option.

You need to get out more is my armchair diagnosis. I came to the thread because I felt I had something to contribute. I suggested that maybe someone who can't complete the tutorial won't enjoy Eve. That wasn't flaming/trolling. It was pure and simple fact. Better he doesn't waste his time. I also gave him the information he wanted on PvP. Saying "Shut up, Noob" is not being on the defensive. It is offensive. Being on the defensive is what I am doing now. If I wanted to be more on the offensive, I'd say something like "Read your post and then tell me how hypocritical the armchair diagnosis comment really was." I make my own armchair diagnoses, yes. It's part of contributing. Now you can explain why you are in this thread. You've done nothing* but launch attacks.

HOwever my justification for my 'attacks' is that there is this poor little fellow asking for some help. Had he not mentioned WOW at all, I doubt he would have received the kind of responses he did. Particularly the LEAVE THE GAME NOW type responses, which are totally unwarranted. As for his noob comment, the post he was replying to deserved nothing better and that is indisputable. I just don't like prejudice and will speak out against it, even if that make me a hypocrite by going off topic with my own attack, complaining about other people's attacks. This guy hasn't even finished the tutorial and people are telling him to leave. How preposterous is that? All because of a game he has himself renounced to play EVE.

Let me translate for the hard-of-roleplay: because back in the days when Eve was conceived and developed, it wasn't thought possible to create an MMORPG with thousands of ships all controlled in proper flight simulation, CCP did not attempt to implement it and instead chose a point and click flight model.
