You give us a solution but how is that supposed to help those of us who lost it all because we logged in to do our invents and builds on all our characters, then logged off to go to work, get home to go pew pew, and find all our settings for our overviews GONE!

This share overview "feature" is one that you really could have left in the dust by the side of the road, because this "feature" sucks!

Not gonna fix it till the 27th? Guess I will be supporting a different game when my accounts lapse.

Once you are transitioned things are all good again. And thanks to sharing it's vastly easier to pass out overviews to other people to help them sort it again.

It's a good step forward, yes it sucks it had an issue in it's roll out. But I'm sure you all personally went to sisi and tested overview settings right...... And bug reported this on sisi...... Hmmm, what's that. you didn't? Don't complain CCP didn't catch it when apparently not a single player on Sisi caught it either.

Worked out a solution for myself on the overview ****-up:

This works only if you have Shadow Volume enabled in Windows7/Vista

1. Browse to 'c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\i_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility\settings' where "i__program_files..." is your installation location.

2. Right-click on the folder 'Settings' and select Properties -> Previous versions

3. Locate a version which is before you updated your client and open it

4. Drag all "core_char_xxxxxxxx.dat" from the newly opened folder to the previously opened folder and overwrite the file.

5. Launch the game, you should have old overview back up and running, but it will reset on every session change.

6. Export the overview once you're in space (all of the settings and everything) and it should now work like a charm. Note that you also need to tick all of the "Other tab presets" in the folder at the bottom of the list.

7. Now import the overview you just exported.

8. Restart the game, you should now have your old overview back.

Tested on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1

The test server is for us to "test" things (i.e.- fits, boosts, PvP practice, etc.) and provide a little feedback along the way, not for us to scour every bit of the game to find/report issues.

I'm fine with being me today, the release went out on time and with no delays.

While some people are unhappy with some of the changes, I don't work as a game designer, so I can't comment on the thinking behind changes to balance and mechanics.

All I can do is deliver feedback from you guys, to the guys who work directly on development.

Are you two by-passing the launcher by any chance?

I seem to recall that you need to log in via the launcher if you want to use the NEX Store. Something to do with auth. tokens.

Unfortunately the overview settings are gone, as long as you did not export them before or have an old copy of your setting files. We are very sorry for this major inconvenience.

So in hind sight - wait what 10 hours after any patch and make sure to glue your ass to the forums - before logging in?

ive been around for 5 years so I do remember and except for the boot.ini they never had this many bugs.

So I see all you dudes talking about the NEX store over and over... That is the new eden store right? The thing with the orange star.. well yeah whenever I try to open that it says it is unavailable and my only option is to click the screen to exit out of it.

It's been like that for all my accounts since the first time I saw that button. So I'm wondering is it just not working for me? Or am I confusing the New eden store with the NEX store as two separate things? If so what the hell is the NEX store?

I'm ******* confused.

EDIT: Sorry I meant NES, im a tard. But nevertheless that thing has not been working for me at all. I can't see any items in it to buy, I click on it and it just says "New eden store not available" Has done it on all my accounts for a month or so :/

I was happily able to find a recently exported settings file.

/mad from me until I find what else is broken.

The NES Store is tied to the CREST API system for account-wide AUR totals. So, unless you start with the Launcher client and then log in, there is no CREST connection for the NES to use.

If you read the thread on incursion scout changes, you'd see not one single person on the side of leaving them as is with a low payout as ridiculous amounts of jamming.

If you read the wormhole mass jump changes thread, and listened to the wormhole town hall meeting, you'd see that it was a very wide margin, about 85% against.

85% is not a vocal minority.

Be careful, I also found a saved settings file, added it, tuned it and logged out.

When I logged back in my new overview was gone - AGAIN - and all settings were set to default like I was playing EVE for the first time.

Until CCP says everything is fixed, the problems might just happen over and over
