The timing and deliberate rehashing of a long dead topic makes this whole thing pretty obvious. Just declare you're coming to get us because Goonswarm is a threat since D2 couldn't handle us despite our lack of T2 ships, etc, don't hide behind some supposed noble interests.

While this may be surprising to you, I never heard of the sig until SirMolle brought it up, barely visible between his monkey arms beating his e-chest. And I read the Goonfleet forums a lot. The joke was used a lot to mock Remedial for the hard time he got in the chat incident that is constantly mentioned whenever someone has an axe to grind. Obviously, the axe that was there all along finally gets its turn. D2 stuck to game mechanics. BoB needed a bloody shirt to wave. Thinking too much about honor in an internet game is not a good thing.

Character counts In Mankind, there was low life sub-human named "Severed Wind", who did things like crudely joke about the dead crew from the space shuttle crash the same day that it happened. Character counts To this day, Severed Wind is on my **** list (and a lot of other folks too). Character counts And Characters counts BEYOND game AND in game. Incredible displays of poor character are "correctly" NOT treated as part of the game. They are also NOT ignored in game. DEAL WITH IT. In Mankind I was in the @ Alliance. One of our mortal enemies was Mordor. There were days when I'd be fuming mad at Mordor. Today a number of my best friends in BNC and BNC.E are former Mordor members from Mankind. We both played a game and blasted each other, but nothing that warrented a grudge past that game. With "Severed Wind" (or the insult in question here in this game) it is different. It goes beyond the game. Character counts. As for the whiners, go ahead and dispute this, you'll just dig yourselves deeper, even if you say true things. Play nice while you Butcher each other

If you're lucky you may be able to get some amount of respect for it. Other option is to go to NPC stations and never undock again until they get bored. Worked for other alliances in the past.
