BoB sees an alliance that might grow strong and hungry enough to be a threat to their 'superiority'.
BoB seeks and finds excuses.
Goons are a good part of the EVE community. BoB too. There are a few 'out of game' communities with links into EVE. Get over it.
And quit yer *****in'. --*=*=*--

Originally by: Ab Initio We threaten physical violence - I have no doubt that 90% of the people posting this, never even saw the original post. The one being quoted was by Blacklight, where he said that he "would not" and "Could not" in regards to physical violence. How anyone reads someone saying they can't and won't engage in physical violence as the opposite is beyond me.
There have been multiple and varied personal threats made by various BoB members and directors over this. Almost all of them have been in threads on these forums that are now deleted. Blacklight's post gets quoted because it is from a CEO, claims to reflect the views of many BoB members, and is on an offsite forum so hasn't been deleted.
That said, it is certainly true that not all and probably even not most of BoB members feel that way or would even momentarily consider resorting to such extremes. But, then again, there haven't exactly been any apologies or disavowals posted, either.
That post of mine was making two points.
Firstly, that we were all rather angry.
Secondly, that our only recourse towards the people in Eve who had annoyed us was to do something about it in Eve because doing something about it in RL would be entirely innappropriate and not inkeeping with the type of people we are in BoB.
If you interpreted my post and comments as a threat to Goonswarm members in RL then I apologise, that was not the intention. I find it quite frankly ridiculous that anyone would threaten someone in RL over a game.
I hope that helps to clarify my position.

Goons = worst thing that has happened to Eve BoB = second worst thing that has happened to Eve
both are a bi-product of Eve's game mechanics meaning numbers > skill. They're only playing within the rules, but unfortunately, that's not good for the game.
BoB will win, though, because as well as having a huge zerg swarm of bad players like the Goons have, they also have a huge zerg swarm of good players, and a skillpoint advantage.

Originally by: Trac3rt It is also known to us that there is a Furry corp in Eve.
Which one?

They aren't really that much worse than other alliances I can think of, both have their good and bad qualities to them. There are worse things that happened to Eve and continue to, uh, happen to Eve right now. ___________________

Did you watch the PvP tournament? It was 5v5, well 5v4 in one of BoB's impressive matches...
You should think before you post. BoB is good for a reason and it's hardly numbers.

While I have always been an enemy of BoB, I must say that that is a great and unfounded insult against them. They are some of the best pilots in Eve, and underestimating them is to doom your operation to failure.
If there is a "problem" its that people would rather be in BoB than fight BoB. --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

Originally by: Rod Blaine Contrary to what some are posting here, no rl threats have been made (actually the opposite has been said in the thread these posters refer to), and no conduct that pertains to harrasment under the Eve EULA or TOS has been proposed or will be undertaken.
This is not the case. Members of BoB said they would find it "very difficult not to level" any goon they met in public. As a result of this I have made a permanent decision never to attend in IRL Eve gathering.
