Well I haven't really set the best reputation in the forums but im intrested to know one thing !
Is eve really worth the fee's?
I have been playing guild wars for hundreds of hours and I have sucked dry all the fun and interest within the game :( !
Then I found eve online, a new dimension of online gaming and so many things to do, from farming to fighting online agaisnt REAL people for once and also looting, joining corps, missions and there is too many things for me to say ... but from my point of view I think the fee's are bloody worth it !
And I was wondering if you could post you're thoughts on what I have said ... im just curious to what people will think and what you say about EVE online.

if people didnt think it was worth the fees they wouldnt have an account and therefore anyone that dosent think its worth the fees wont be replying to this thread.

Definatly, no toehr game like it.. i started playing Gw recently and i really got bored fast, the amount of freedom you have in eve is just amazing, no other MMo even coms close.

people can complain about eve but at the end of they still play and pay so it would all add up to them thinking its worth the sub fees

Well thnx for the replies ... I think im gonna buy some GTC, well really cause its amazing and I cant really describe what I mean ... EVE is sometimes unreal, what really hits me is the fact of how big the game is ... so many gates, systems, stations and players .. I think eve will be hitting my top 10 games probably number 1 and my hours will be 1000+  All I need now is some cash  only 15, but i'll scratch up all my cash

well that makes me feel VERY good, oh btw guys, when I buy a GTC of a website, and they email it to me, does it activate straight away ? cause im on holiday and I want tobuy one now before I spend it all on crap from markets and food ! :S help :P

Nope, you activate it yourself when you feel like it. Check out Account payment options. It will extend your subscription from the end of the current one and add whatever amount of days the GTC adds. :)

It activates straight away, once you insert it in to the web via your subscription page. You just have to login to your account via the web, change sub to GTC and insert the code and presto!

okay thnx, well im a trialist atm so i'll wait till it stops (due to people saying it takes days off) and then buy one of a website and then change sub ...
We'll im gonna use paypal and then pay off my cashcard with solo and then it should work, at my age you cant get a credit card

Yes. EvE is the only game that you can create RL enemies from a virtual world.

Free as in no monthly fees, but you pay for the game like any normal non-MMO game out there.

Guild Wars ... sigh.. a good example that the worst nightmare dreamt up by hellish carebear scientists is still not safe from griefers and general internet idiots.
If you make the mistake of thinking of eve as a "game" - no, its not worth a single cent.
It has some unique elements, mostly resulting from the carefree attitude of its developers. That is what makes eve so special.

It's worth the fee if you don't have a life or live in the Arctic Circle, playing 8 hours a day. Otherwise it isn't worth the fee. I don't find it fun, it's more of a grind. Everything in Eve takes a lot of time if you want to make any progress. It's a bit like a second job.
And of the 100k accounts, probably the larger part of them are second or third accounts. And btw, asking this question is much like a lecturer giving a lecture on why it's better to turn up to lectures. The audience don't need the advice. Those that are absent are the ones you should be talking to. With some exceptions like me, who still have a few weeks on their last subs .
