I will be going.
But I am dispointed that coming from Sweden means either
(try) boarding the flight home severely drunk or not having
a party at all Saturday evening since the flight leaves at
0745 in the bloody morning!!! Include 1hr transport
and that you need to be there at least 1hr before boarding and
you are looking at getting out of the hotel about 0500. 
With that in mind I'm currently looking at spending another ú200
and stay Wednesday through Monday instead, we'll see.

Coz the info at login says Friday/Saturday however one of the Eve packages with Icelandic air leaves 8:30 Saturday morning?

If budget is a problem (for many will be) check Icelandexpress.com (cheap flight company), easyjet.com and ryanair.com. All three use London Stanted airport. There is probably a good combo to get you to Iceland from your country.
About accomodation, Nordica is the best option of course, but you are paying a 4 stars hotel. There are plenty of good hotels in Reykjavik, check that link for extensive info about the city.
I'd booked a 3 stars hotel right in the middle of town centre for 4 nights. I'm planning on doing some tourism.
And don't forget to buy the Fanfest Pass!!!

Here is the best prices I could find for Irish people going over to the fanfest from Dublin Airport.
Leaving on the 8th Nov to 13th on Nov.
IcelandAir is the website I used.
1,248 EUR - return flights for 2 people
So thats 624 EUR per person.
About 55 EUR for the FanFest entry from CCP.
Then of course Hotel costs , Food , drink and so on.

Was looking around for tourist guides and found What's On aswell as their own Time Out guide
The main Reykjavik guide here
Quite a few people are coming early this year so I know there is the whole Blue Lagoon which actually isnt that pricey and if you keep your eye out there are quite a few cheap places to go. I am sure there will be an offical guide out sometime before Fanfest.

i am Going to fanfest from heathrow but never flown from there before (manchester is my usual) so anyone from the northwest hitting the 1300 flight from heathrow fancy meeting up somewhere, i will be traveling by train for liverpool to whatever station it arrives at then making my way to heathrow.

Someone said the flights was already pre-reserved for the FanFest, altho I have had trouble getting anyone confirming this as I can manually book a flight on the same flight without taking the FanFest package.
However if the statement was true then noone need to worry about finding other pilots as the whole aircraft will be full of pirates and carebears.

I wen't last year on the same flight as all the ppl on the package (going out), but bought the ticket on its own. The flight was pretty fully, but I still got it for as cheap as any other day. This was with Iceland Air.
Oh, and I totally forgot about Zelota, what a legend. I want to go again this year. If I can get a well paying job this semester, I might be able to afford fanfest & Vegas.

Maybe you should include alliances in the sorting in the first post... Make the alliance name as a headline and then stick the corps belonging to that alliance there so we can see how many from each alliance is going... And then have the allianceless corps at the bottom...

Yes, I stayed there last year. The Grand Hotel IIRC is about 200m away.

decided Im going to make a holiday of it around FF being as I have to use up my holidays at my new job before end of year.
flying out wednesday afternoon from heathrow, staying at the bjork, flying home monday morning (cant cope with getting up sunday morning hehe)
going to explore on wendnesday so if people are there and fancy doing something my flight gets in at 16:00, also will use thursday morning to do something, maybe hit the lagoon or something.

Still flying with Icelandair at the same times and at the alternate choice hotel (Loftleidir). Bargain

The Wednesday Crew?
So, how many people will be around on the wednesday evening? Was thinking of stuff to do and maybe getting something impromptu organised for the early birds such as somewhere to congregate and drink/eat maybe before the official stuff kicks off on thursday.
personally i was thinking some wandering around reykjavik in the afternoon if weather isnt crap (gate camping ccp ), something to eat and some drinks in the evening somewhere. Maybe do the lagoon on thursday morning depending on just how long drinks/food last on wednesday night before hitting the nordica for the FF in the afternoon.
Though on wednesday I would have been up since 4am since I have to be at the airport at 5.30am to fly to heathrow for my connecting flight to iceland so may need a few cans of red bull by wednesday night :p

I will Be at the Fanfest!
Arriving on the 8th November, 5pm Iceland time.
I plan to have a shower and some rest the first day, followed by a dinner at the VOX Restaurant so if any of you plan to have a dinner around lets say 8pm iceland time, we could go there together.
After that, I guess an obligatory visit to the bar is required?
I might take an early evening tho, since I will have been up since 5am or 6am that day. But who knows. With a glass of wine and I can be like a duracell rabitt. I will keep on going...and going...and going...

well, its 5.55am and im sat in my local airport waiting for a flight to gatwick and then coach to heathrow, been up since 3.30am!

Funnily enough Icelandair's just emailed me saying it's T1. Setting off early hours of the morning to get to Heathrow for the 1.30pm flight tomorrow. See you in the bar!

u basically take miklabraut(main road thru reykjavik) and go up it until u see a big blue mall, then u take a left down kringum²rabraut

I bought the standard Iceland Air Fanfest package and at Nordica they put me into one of the Executive Class rooms! Nice!
Anybody else see the PvP final! Sizzling hot stuff even for a non-pvper like me! Should have taken part in the tournament myself... in a Rifter. Well, maybe next year...

Dude I don't know if it relates to you because I wasn't paying attention after not having slept, but at the keflavic airport the announcer said something about a lost camera and can someone come claim it.

Na, it was the ASCN dude i was sitting beside's camera. He was also very drunk and tired and left it on the bus from the Nordica and we had to MAKE him go get it because he wanted just to stay seated. I had a look for zzazt's stuff, but couldn'ty see it. Mind you, I was drunk and tired at the time too. Hope its been handed into the Nordica bud.
