At least when reprocessing you get a warning. When selling there's no warning that you're selling for 100x over the market price

1) Posted one of the Posts her 4 times in the chat windows, cuz i had to cut is, but actually i posted 4 times the same cut in the chat, and was wondered when my corp mates sayend "What do you past here?!" I scrollend up, and realizend that i was pasting ever the same Thing xD
2) Tried to kill a pvp fittend apoc with a Caracel, lost the caracel +a retriever PBO :/

Kitting my newly bough stabber up with expensive gear to go beat at people in lowsec. I set the autopilot to a faroffsystem in the cluster thinking I would check them all along the way for targets.
I read some, then check my screen as I'am about to jump: Next system in route sec status: 0.4
Riiiight, I fly out and find a guy in a rifter, I attack with everything I got, almost got him when suddenly everything starts to lag, HARD, I see "ship out of control" and I'am suddenly in pod o_O?
Turns out I checked on destination system and not current system sec status... dont aggro people in 0.5  This happend just a few days ago.
Thank god the guy I attacked was very friendly and actually sent me 500k to replace my losses :)

Same happaned to me in my claw, but the server just starting to lag resulting in "ship out of control" when doing missions and having 60% armor trying to warp cause of the immense damage my claw got fed up with...
Still waiting for the petition for this one..

Stupidest thing I've done so far? Blew up a couple of Gallente Navy Scouts... then engaged autopilot and alt-tabbed out.
The stargate I was heading towards was a Gallente stargate...

Going AFK 30 jumps in empire in a cov ops ship, with a newly won tech II ammo BPO, allready sold for 1.5bill.
I guess further explanation is futile, other than that the kill mail showed that the can included the BPO. I tried to console myself with having made an empire pirate very happy, but it didn't really do the trick for me.

Cyno alt didn't have anchoring 1 so I jumped in with a Dread to online a POS even though there was an enemy fleet nearby. Didn't get close enough so I had to offline the cargo bays (stupid Revelation bug) and crawl over to the POS.
Was in the process of onlining the cargo bays when the enemy fleet jumped in....I should have just logged and hoped for the best but I tried to wait it out.
End result is my Dread popped 1 min before the POS onlined. Then as a bonus the fleet pounded the POS into oblivion while my crappy Cyno alt sat there and couldnt online any weapons.
Lesson learned - all cyno alts now have anchoring 1 skill.
p.s. That little loss came right before ASCN invaded Paragon Soul so it saved me from losing my ship in combat. |

That sucks, to make you feel better though I dont think you would have broken their locks once it finished onlining, unless its changed.

Biggest loss was probably AFKing my nice new Brutix through empire, not realising the route contained one 0.4 system. The chances of running into a pirate in the only 0.4 system in a 30-jump trip? Quite high apparently
More recently I went off to pick up goods in empire in an expanded rather than a stabbed Itty. I didn't even make it to the gatecamp, a random pirate picked me off. But then I went and got my 'rax and chased him away

mine was back when i was in a very large corp, that got war decs all the time. I had only been carebearing the last few months and suddenly there is this guy who keeps attacking our miners in our alliance claimed 0.2 system. Turns out he's a pie, that gets at least a barge or two a day.
So we start going out in force, but none of the big guys in the alliance are online. So it's more a sporadic thing. Anyways, i outfit an arbitrator, with all my best equipment, and warp scramblers and webbers.
I fly out to hunt him, and suddenly i see him at a gate. I lock him and starts scrambling him. Call the others in to the gate, hoping they are here before he gets away.
Suddenly i panic, noticing my armor going down way faster than it should. I try to warp out, but only make it away in my pod. With the pie laughing at me, and asking if he could have the kill mail.
didn't at the time think the gate guns would shoot, as he had shot a corp mate. But well... such wasn't the life.
[final blow] Billboard lays the final blow for 10 damage....

undock in my Charon and seeing a ibis right outside the station..I wanted to click on "show info" but I hit "board ship" ...now I was in the ibis looking at my Charon flying..away from me...

Having spent the last few months in 0.0 i find myself in Empire. I find myself in 0.4. I find a retriever off the gate and think "Ha what a nub". Just as i hit the scrambler i think "Hang on... aww **** you nub WARP FFS!" Pop goes my 'ranis. (Whether my ship was already in warp when it went is besides the point)
All i could do was laugh at myself in local and log out for the night before i did anything else stupid.

Hmm, let me see...
2 days into the game, travel to the eve gate in an Ibis. (I actually survived the journey there. Not the journey back)
Few hours into the game, spent all my money on a shuttle thinking it was some cool combat ship.
And lastly, well, this wasn't really my fault but I was doing some high level missions with two corp members. I was in a kestrel, one of them was in a Navy Raven, and the other in a pheonix. (I'm there to kill the frigs, the pheonix to tank.) Part way through the mission the screen freezes. When normality resumes I find my kestrel, which had kept traveling forward, had aggroed every NPC in the vicintity, which nearly resulted in the wtfpwning of the Navy raven.

I was testing the range on my brand new Harpy, belt-ratting in 0.4 when 2 ships jumped into the belt. One was an Amarr cruiser and the other a frig. Both started targetting me and (in best South Park style) look out - the frigate is coming right for us - figured he was running in to tackle me so I locked him up and let him have all 4 barrels which popped him before I was in range of his scram ...most satisfying. By that time the cruiser was starting to dent my shields (thx non-existant EM resist on Harpy) and as I was set up for sniping so I warped out.
All good... right up to the point that I realised I was under fire from gate sentry guns... uh oh - bye bye assault frig, hello pod.
That frigate only ever targetted me - didn't fire and didn't get a chance to scramble, so as far as the game was concerned it didn't perform a hostile action. My pre-emptive strike cost me a T2 equipped Harpy (and a sec-status hit to add to the insult).
Stupid or unlucky? You decide.
Another stupid thing I did was to lend my Ferox (fully equipped with Arbelest Heavy and Assault Launchers) to a friend who neglected to insure it and got it blown up running a level 4 mission. That one was definitely stupid because getting blood out of a stone would be easier than getting compensation from said 'friend'

Well, carebear mining story coming up...
Just after barges and ice were introduced (when ice sold for 1mil a chunk) I had of course decided to cash in on already having most of the skills for ice mining and got out there as soon as possible.
Such was the awesome moneymaking potential, I figured that I was feeling awake enough to do some all night mining. But I was uncomforatble, so I turned my bed around to reach the keyboard and lay down at the same time.
Critical error there, clearly I wasn't as awake as I thought and those damn ice beams taking 8 minutes to cycle not helping... awakening some time later to find 0.7 belt rats had destroyed my barge. Just a bit lucky that I had already mined enough ice to pay for the new one.

Oh man...too many to count
Initiating self destruct on my covetor, and then thining ejecting would stop it.
Warping to a random cyno field in my T2 fitted thorax, not thinking "hmm...maybe it's at a hostiles POS".
Asking for intel in local about a certain gate, and then not bothering to look at the bio of the person who gave it; warped right into a hostile gate camp.
Buying a small gallente control tower, then reselling it sometime later for 90,000 instead of 90,000,000.
When engaging a hac and apoc in my blasterthron, thinking it'd be smart to take out the apoc first...not a good idea with multiple nos's on you.
I could go on forever...
