Pod and Planet Fiction Contest YC116 Prize pool is 27 bil ISK, so far. New writers and writers returning from the past two contests, the details are in the link. It's the same as before-- an EVE canon-based category, a freeform/ingame stories category, and a humor category.

The Angel Project (1 bil ISK so far)
And we may have some other donations coming in.

Dreaming up a work and crafting it into words and paragraphs is a challenge for anybody. It's like being the scriptwriter, director, cinematographer, special effects artists, actors and soundtrack composer-- all in one person.

First year was fun. Second year was wonderful surprise. Third year means you've created a venerable institution. Congratulations!
A Question:
It wouldn't surprise me if many of the contestants would like to support this venerable institution. Being stand up characters (as all Capsuleers are) is there, perhaps a method in place for anonymous contribution? |

Anonymous contributions from contestants would be very nice. Anyone interested can just send me a mail and we'll set the transfer up with Chribba. He's kindly holding donation funds for us again this year. |

Rather busy this year, but I will attempt to set aside some time to get something sorted. Hopefully will get something typed up again as last years was fun.

You need to post the story somewhere on the internet (EVE Fiction forum, pastebin, a free blog site, etc.) So readers, other writers, and the judges can read it. Then post the URL in contest website's forum page. |

You can submit multiple stories, in the same category or across categories. Each story will be judged independently of the others on its own merit, of course. |

"Eve Nerds with No Life" = 17,500 - 40,000 words :P
If you'd had this one this year I'd be sorted, but struggling currently with an entry with 5000 words. Go figure

Glad to see this contest continue on again this year. One thing EvE have is a very committed and involved community, this is another good way for us to be involved in the fun that surrounds the game we all love (or love to hate).

My three are queued up to publish on my blog whilst I'm on holiday for the next two weeks...

And-- contest judge Mike Azariah has announced that he'll again being giving out ships for any great stories that don't get a top prize. In other words, all stories are insured in case of philistinism or other wrong-headedness on the part of the judges. Thanks Mike! |
