Who missed out on the release of E-ON #001 and doesn't want to spend crazy amounts of money to complete a set? I know I don't and I think most EVE players wouldn't want to either. So, what can be done to prevent a case of, "OMG, I have to spend how much to get a copy?" Reprints!
Zapatero's new blog is about the possibility of reprinting Issue #001. There are going to be differences between the first run and a possible second run of Issue #001, hopefully enough to make collectors happy they are not going to lose too much value if they decide to sell an issue off for a car down payment. Whether a reprint happens or not is dependent on the 85k new community members who never had a chance to order #001. You want a copy, but don't want to pay a crazy amount for it? Now's your chance to sound off and make it happen.
WTS E-ON #001?

as a subscriber from the beginning, I dont mind a limited reprint as long as reprint and perhaps the edition print date is also put in. But it must truely be limited and remian in paper form, no pdf shannaginns.
a collectibe isnt really a collectible if you reprint them every year, however given its target audience, i dont mind a limited reprint :)
btw i still want my full page interview hehe

Yay! I'm up for it. I missed the first issue because of RL issues, but I have 2, 3 and 4. I've been wondering how to complete the gap. Just don't go overboard on the big fat Reprint that would ruin the pretty cover. Make it big enough to keep the collectors happy, but don't place it somewhere that would ruin the cover. For example, the top right corner, in yellowish letters. That would be a good spot.

I'd order one. I looked at ordering one earlier, but the $130+ price on ebay at the time was just too much for me.
Please excuse my ignorance, but what's the problem with pdfs? I'd prefer a printed copy definitely, but a pdf seems like a nice additional option too. It's certainly wouldn't totally replace the prints, as no home printer is going to make something as nice as what you order. I'm not demanding a pdf though, I'm just curious as to what the issues or concerns are.

This is LAME.
If "this isnÆt about making a shed load of money" then are you going to reprint E-ON #001 a year from now, two years from now, and perhaps every year for those who joined later than us? How about E-ON #002, #003, and all the rest? Are you going to keep reprinting them all for those who miss out on the opportunity?
Yes, I'm a owner of E-ON #001 and I might as well toss it in the garbage if reprints are made. E-ON #001 was suppose to be a collectible item and it was even mentioned in a dev blog when the last copies were being sold.
"WeÆre not considering reprinting tens of thousands of copies either". I don't really care if you are going to reprint one copy or tens of thousands. We were told that once E-ON #001 was sold out then that was it, no more. CCP you need to stick to your word. Peace!

As much as I love EON, I dont think I would buy issue #1 again. The information contained will be a year old and mostly no longer valid. But it could be a fun read I guess... maybe if I get a hold of some more money. I want to pay with isk! --- Eve Wiki | Eve Tribune | Eve Pirate |

Do like some comics are, Every year of books make 1 big one. Like 1-4 or so, they are quartly. The others are still valuble but those who joined right after it stopped selling can enjoy them. Id love to get a copy of number 1 & 2 (my copy of 2 got ruined in a flood).

Edited by: Ann Mari on 02/09/2006 06:19:37 Can I request that you guys setup a "E-on start-up package"? I'd like to order a complete up to date set with a further year's subscription, or offset to be a full year, doesn't matter.
Or just a up to date, and a monthly debit from then on.
After issue 1 and 2 came out I wanted to start, but without #001 it really isn't worth it.
If possible skip the HUGE (yet subtile transparent) "Reprint" on the cover, but to keep everyone's book value, please print a reprint date on the cover somewhere. Or just do your best not to ruin the nice graphic on the cover I'll even settle for #001.1 instead of #001

Though nice, the guides are becoming less and less current with each content patch, bugfix and revamp of parts of the game. A creepy *OUTDATED INFO* sticker might be well worth a thought too.
Parts of the tanking guide have been outdated when my preordered original EON #001 reached me ... --*=*=*--

ok ill post again seeing as tho the other vanished
for those of us that cant live in the US or euro is there going to be a way made for us to for a small sum get our hands on EON#1
Yeah that includes distribution via download of PDF so more fans can get a bit of the insight
Lets see u killed the free chronicles by making a quick buck on EON #1 thro 5
The website and storylines are weaker for it and all u need to do is a unique PDF download link allow us to pay a small sum for a digital copy of the mag.
So any response or is the $$$$ more important than the players outside the US and eurozone

You can buy E-ON irrespective of where you live. So far we have shipped it to 65 different countries around the world, not just the US and Europe. The subject of PDFs has been brought up many times before, and no doubt will in the future. However, producing as a PDF completely misses the point that E-ON is, and was always intended to be, a hard-copy magazine only. The enjoyment of E-ON, as I'm sure many purchasers will agree, is about more than just the content - the emotional and interactive nature of a magazine is one that simply can't be replicated by 'reading' on screen.

/emote wishes he had bought more than just 1 e-on #1
I'm quite suprised that my copy of the first issue is worth more than I paid for the first 4 magazines together
If it's marked as being a reprint (hence - not as collectable), then I've no problem with it being re-released. It's not quite fair for all the newer players to miss out on the great mag it was!

There are also many purchasers that don't agree with that perspective. I for one don't put my copies of EON in my backpack, because the thing is to delicate (and i would freak if it got ripped because some idiot wasn't looking were he was shoving), i would prefer to read the articles on my very nice pda (in the metro or at work), the same way i have been reading novels for the last couple of years. When i'm at home and am in an eve mood, i would prefer to actually play it ;-)
