It was certainly interesting.
EST and their allies did not field enough numbers to lock the system down (it has 5 gates after all), which enabled about 50 ISS with several carriers to jump in support of U'K.
At this point the dreads went into hiding, and EST and their allies left their gatecamps. There was a roaming sniper group which would appear from time to time, but as I type no dreads are in action and it would seem that U'K and those who would oppose an outpost in the hands of EST have prevented any large POS from being knocked into reinforced.
No doubt things will get more interesting over the coming days.

I thought the point of interstellar starbase syndicate was to be 100% neutral to everyone and to be 100% unbias about anything that happens in eve between any entity that has no direct reflection on the property of the neutral entity called iss.
are you declareing that iss is no longer the neutral entity that it says it is and that is just like the eib scam that all the people that have invested in iss due to the fact that they stand for these reasons have been decieved, in all honesty iss, i would go back to what you where doing and what you say you do and play no role like your supposed to or i wouldnt doubt it if those that respect you for your neutrality start to call you a threat and start to unwind all that you have worked so hard for.
and i have 1 good question how does the afairs of whats going on against ursha khan have to do with iss so what if est gets a outpost if they do how does that affect iss directly. i can tell ya it doesnt or should it is another question ?
i dont know what to make of iss takeing a side when they are supposed to be neutral. especially sence this isnt a reason to take sides because it aint like all this is a attack on a iss outpost or in a iss soverned system which raises another question..
should it be or am i wrong ?

Because ISS value a stable region. By U'K being attacked it can de-stablize the reagion, or possible at least. This in turn, as a side effect could possible have knock repurcussion for ISS in direct and in-direct ways.

quite simple. Iss are neutral between alliance wars. meaning alliance that hold territory ie. ascn, d2, v, bob etc. Establishment are pirates and have shows themselves to be hostile to iss when ever the chance happens. example when iss industrial cross assah into g5. UK on the other hand builds an outpost and allows access to its outpost to all friends and allies. much similar to the way iss runs its outpost. Now tell me again, why would iss allow a hostile pirate organization to take control of an outpost in a strategic location in providence?
They are neutral to non pirates. if you are a pirate expect to be shot at.

The attack on 9UY4-H, if successful, would drastically reduce the income that ISS outposts in Providence generate, which in turn reduces the dividend payouts sent to shareholders. Our neutrality exists so that our trading hubs and service outposts can be open to everybody in EVE. However, when it comes to defending these assets and the values that they stand for, we will not simply stand by and watch.

ok you say that but how can you be sure that est wont do the same as u'k and allow all to dock for free and not affect your trade routes what if this has nothing to do with iss and has no plans to affect iss in any way and more then likely will not effect iss in any way and that it is all directed to u'k only what if you are all up in the coolaid and dont even know the flavor of it. ? why not just not worry about something that you cant prove to involve you unless you want to be involved i dont know but your actions are what in the end will decide what happens in the future in peoples eyes .. personally if i was iss i would stay neutral and want to stay neutral and try to stay neutral to not be affected by what is going on. or taint your track record for future events ? .. why declare that this will have a direct effect on iss when it hasnt even be suggested to do so and why say it will destablize the area how can you prove that .. what if est moves in and plays like u'k up to the T you dont know what the plans are why jump to conclusions unless you know. be real here dont make facts that you cant prove to be there dont get involved unless want to be involved when you dont want to be.. make sence i think it does.

Seriously, most of the corps involved have shown they're hostile to ISS long before this and are admitted pirates. It's pretty safe to assume letting them take Unity would be a bad thing to ISS, especially in regards to our own nearby outposts and the traffic to and around them.
Just because we are neutral doesn't mean we won't shoot back at and activly work towards stopping those who prey upon our shipping.
If EST and allies were planning to move into the area and be all nice and cuddly I'm sure they would have demostrated their peaceful intentions before now.
Also, can you please use some minimal punctuation and some spacing in your posts? They're rather hard to read as they are. Thanks

Let me see if I understand this: there are people in this thread wondering why ISS got involved and that they violated their 'neutrality'? There are pirates wondering why they are being shot at??
In terms of neutrality, it seems to me that almost every entity attacking the UK outpost could fall, by their own admission, under the definition of pirates. EST can most certainly be categorized in such a way. For entities who hold their fire on no one to complain about a formidable local military force coming in and trying to restore order is quite amusing. Hell, shooting pirates is one of the things the MC does on and off contract to alleviate boredom. ISS doesnÆt need an excuse to shoot pirates; no one does.
With the stated goal of taking over Unity Station, it would give EST and friends a solid base from which it would take quite a force to uproot them. I seriously doubt that ISS shareholders want to see is a group of random killers with a solid base of operations just two jumps from one of the ISS stations they hold stock in.
ItÆs one thing to run around the area ganking people and flashing off a Mothership. The local militaries of the area deal with it as they can and life goes on. However, claiming ælandÆ is a whole new kind of piracy / pvp. For EST and their current allies to not expect an escalated and unified response, or to cry foul when it arrives to foil their plans, is kinda silly. Granted, not everyone is doing this and some might actually be enjoying the extra bit of challenge ISS just threw into the mix. But to those people who are trying to slam ISS for ætaking out the trash in their neighbors back yardÆ, youÆre not fooling anyone.

Hilarious There are four large alliances in the south: ASCN (4900 members), AXE (1400 members), KOS (2100 members) and LV (2600 members), not to mention -V- (1000 members) and CHIMP (500 members), all of whome seem to be fairly friendly with each other. Yet your grand coalition of pirates chooses to attack Ushra'Khan (300 members), a considerably weaker power in the region. It's pretty obvious you're just out for what you can get, can't argue with that, it's all fair in war. But the implication of a higher moral stand in this campaign is laughable. Certainy the idea that you're trying to bust up the south. You're just looking for an excuse to take what you didn't make, let's not pretend it's anything different.
