While running a mission called Pirate Invasion lvl 3 my com hangs in the second section. I tried doing it 5 times and always the same result. I filed a petition critizing them for it and the came up with a suggestion of clearing my cache which I already done on the second try. Then they suggested using the temp-cache method. I got into the second section of the mission had just enought time to release my drones before it hanged. I was ****ed so I cursed the GM.
After that they closed my petition and asked me to try 'Reimbursement' section. Which btw still hasn't replied me on the BS that I lost due to a major lag 2 days ago. I know they are doing. They are just passing me from dept to dept until I give up on this. Never gonna happen. I want to know if anyone else here has this problem.
I like the game but I do not like paying for this kinda service.

never had this problem.
Theres an important lesson to learn though. Keep your temper or bad things happen. If you cursed/were rude/bad tempered/whatever with them, I wouldn't blame them if they just shut your petition down and set you to ignore.
...but then, thats why I'm not in CS

unfortunately, it takes month for the "reimbursement" section to get back to you. I had 3 petitions before and the fastest one took one week. Then they make some kinda excuse saying it wasn't their fault. Losing a BS and T2 equipment to lag is painful. BTW the lag was not caused by me. I checked.

Any ideas besides firefox? My com only seems to hang during certain missions in eve or when im typing a lot. Friends say its my motherboard. Not tech savvy enough. A little help would be nice. The GM aren't exactly worth the time.

This is my favourite thing on the forums all week.
To be a little more helpful: crashes at specific points (for example, on meeting specific NPC ships) are quite often sound-related. EvE has awful audio code, and there are any number of driver and hardware incompatibilities. Try turning sound off or, even better, disabling the sound hardware temporarily. See if this solves your problem.
After that I'm afraid you're probably stuck with checking graphics drivers, reinstalling, and fiddling with things aimlessly to see if that helps.

The solution would be to be polite to the GMs and actually get help from them, instead of cursing at them and risking being kicked out of the game.
I don't know if people do get kicked out of the game for abusing GMs, I just know they SHOULD.

I critized them for being incompetent and inefficient. Both are true, I need my problems solved ASAP not in a 2 weeks or a month. Im still waiting for replies of 2 petitions.
If i didn't have to pay for these game then I won't be complaining at all. Everytime these kinda things happen it wasted real time and real money. CCP doesn;t understand that or maybe they do......

Wrong. Cursing at someone is not criticizing them; it's abuse. The correct response would be to shut down your account.

You seem to think any kind of problem or ship loss immediately warrants a petition. Then you seem to think your petition should get some kind of special treatment just because you'll curse at the GM's if it doesn't.
No, they're not just passing you from dept to dept, why would they want to keep an already huge petition queue from shrinking by doing this? Nobody else is having the problem you're having, which means the problem is on YOUR end. Stop wasting the GM's time and figure it out, or close your account.
You could start by turning off sound and all effects to see if that helps...

Ok enough *****ing. I tried all of these things. turning off the sound, lowering all the graphic settings and clearing the cache. Is there any other things i could try? I have also uninstall adn reinstalled the game. PLEASE help. This is not a joke. I want to get back to the game
Im using a 1.8Ghz, 1gig RAM, Radeon 9250. all drivers up to date. oh and windows xp and a maxtor harddrive.
Please post any possible solutions.
I clean and check my com and heatsinks on a weekly basis.

Being rude is never a good idea.... Threatening to leave isn't going to help either.
I also get a pause on warping into some deadspace missions. I think it's caused by the machine/graphics trying to load the environment, NPC positions & the NPC's all going aggro when you arrive.
Personally I just turn on the hardners & repairer before warping in. Generally I get control back before anything nasty happens. |

It shows a level of professionalism when someone works through very-slight abuse. Do you throw up your arms and say "Sod it" if someone swears at you for doing a poor job at work? Make from that, what you will.
And petitions have ALWAYS been like this. Theres always a wait, and when you finally give up and move on, they get round to yours and empty your wallet. With the expanding player base, problems are only set to get worse. My advice would be to prepare for long waits now and setup contingency plans so that losing something doesn't mean you have to sit about in a station for 3 weeks while someone sifts through a pile of petitions before yours.

This won't get your ship back, you'll have to wait on the reimbursement petition for that. But it will bring the issue to the attention of the Devs, who can then work out if Eve is causing it, or your PC, and if it's eve, fix it:
