So the idea is simple: post the most embarrassing, terrible, or secret thing that has happened involving you in EVE. Post with your main (if you dare) or random NPC alt, doesn't matter.
Obviously, I'll start:
I was once awoxed by a corp member years back (on a now inactive trial account). I was still pretty new to the game but my kestrel was given no mercy. To this day, I have this character on watchlist hoping I can one day return the favor... However, I cherish the thought that perhaps I am on someone's similar list today .
Have fun!

Yesterday I helped some guy run the DED site 5/10 Blood Raider Psychotropics Depot. We have been in fleet, nearly completing second room, when his battleship was concorded for shooting my wreck. At the end I warped in to the last room alone in Stratios with cloak on and slowboating to the right spot to get rid of the Exsanguinator with gardes II before DPS will get me. He dropped only 18th Tier Overseer's Personal Effects.

Have the exact same situation as the OP. Still keeping tabs on that guy, and every character with the same naming convention. But that's hardly a confession, I keep tabs on many people for many reasons and this surely isn't the worst one.
I am not one to hold personal grudges, and take some pride in keeping matters "not personal". When I FC I request fleet members to GF even when we lost, etc. However one dude in this game kept doing stuff I found repulsive and weak, so I decided to grief his corp out of it's home system. Went as far as to work with a subdirector to lower POS shields and pillage their lowsec towers, and declared war a few days later to murder all hisec structures. This guy left the game for a while, I recieved intel he was "done" with Eve Online.
This person is now back. Location of his investments is known.
If you are reading this, I am coming for you. |

Mine was more Bearism, remember that time when they did the racial destoyer`s and battlecruisers command ship thinjimijig, well I had the bright idea to train one char to full leadership skills so as to make the most of it all. Why not ? Unfortunately some 6 -7 months later it came to my attention that the one char that I had trained for such was the one char that I had not trained up to take advantage of the said ship skill changes, He sits there now at near 14m in command skills but is absolutely unable to fly anything whatsoever that can actually use them there command skills.

Not so long ago I lost a retribution to concord by attacking my alt... I wanted to insta-warp his orca by webbing him at a gate, I assumed that this was legal because we were in a fleet. Turned out that by assuming I just made an ass out of my alt and me, since they had to be in the same corp instead to freely engage eachother.

I was telling somebody I'd recently met about why sov nullsec ruins people at PvP. Then we were out roaming FW space and I told him he could FC and I'd simulate how a typical nullsec fleet responds to basic commands. After a few fail jumps, yelling on comms about ships on d-scan that we'd never catch, interrupting important orders to discuss what I had for breakfast and generally being too excited to shoot things that I was told to ignore we finally got in a fight.
That's when I shot him.
Though my best moment was when a corp beggar and/or troll alt got resubbed and joined a friend's alliance...he continued to be the tool I remembered so I gave my friend a bookmark to a "Serpentis Supply Complex"....which was really just a deep safe bookmark. My friend gave the guy this bookmark and told him that he was too busy and that it was easy isk, just to be careful because it was lowsec.
Unfortunately he lacked an expensive fit. But his cries in local for me to stop because we were friends made it worth my time.

I was in a psychotic state of mind after a sweet successful hunt and kill of a goonie in THEIR space. I bought a Loki, and fitted it. Full of blood-lust I undocked and found a POCO owned by Goonwaffe, I think it was, and immediately locked target and - died - I was in High Sec by that time.
I bought a Vargur once thinking I could out-tank any Level 4 mission. Didn't realize some missions are untankable solo, for a reason. Didn't realize you have to be in bastion mode to take advantage of benefits. Fortunately I DID know how to fit Typhoons and managed to loot that Vargur wreck.
Went AFK once while mining in a Retriever. Came back to discover 25% of my shields red. Very embarrassing. Then I started wondered why Concord was flying around my ship. Looked at a wreck. On closer inspection realized it was a Tormentor killed by my orbiting drones - finished off by Concord.

As for me? I have way too many to list. However, one of my most recent losses comes to mind. I was playing station games on what I now suspect to be some sort of Eve-Uni staging station. I forgot that bastion gives you weapons timer.
Of course, this was after I had survived actually roaming with this thing a couple days earlier.

Sigh, I said this once before but i'll do it again.
Back in, I think it was 07, I'm too lazy to look up the kill, I had spent every cent I had, plus a few I borrowed on a carrier. It was the first one I ever owned and I was excited. My alliance, Brotherhood Of Steel, was living in the Kari pipe in prov at the time (we were UK allies) and we were currently at war with ENH (I so can not to this spell the corp name, former executive corp of Cry Havoc. [Hi Mistress Suffering!]) So having just got my first carrier I was happily ratting in the second system in the Kari pipe (B-D I think... its been years) my fit was **** poor, and I mean **** poor, and I was using fighters to kill off belt rats. Well, I was fighting a bs spawn and was planning on chaining, then I noticed the last frig npc had me warp scramd. So I put my fighters on him.. and well.. yea they missed...and missed... and... you get the picture. So after five min I ask for help in alliance, but no one was around. My alt was over in Shin, justa few jumps away, so I logged him in and was was getting ready to come t my aid, when I noticed a red star in local. My first thought was 'please just pass through' (this makes me suspect they had spies, but meh) a few seconds later, he warped to my asteroid belt. He paused, and went 'what are you doing?' so I sighed and told him. (I think it never accured to me to try and jump out, and I'm still not sure that would of worked but meh) anyway in local I see "...." so I asked him "um.. any chance you can not kill me and help me out? I just bought this thing..." He locked me, disrupted me, killed the npc, then local flooded with red stars. 5 min or me begging, yes I said it, begging, in local for them not to kill me, I pop.
From that day farward, no other kills mattered to me, I now pretty much laugh at tell people who try to ransom me to just kill me. It was the most embarising situation of my eve time, but in the end I learned two valuable lessons:
1) ALWAYS have small drones if you rat in a ******* carrier, ALWAYS.
2) Its a game, I can't lose anything bigger so meh...
That leads me to...

Sol Project wrote:Do tell us more!! Back in 2008, I worked as a director for a corporation called Heretic Logistics (LOAF.), an industrial offshoot of Heretic Army (ANTI) meant to serve its ship and module needs. Both corporations were members of The Covenant Alliance (TCA), a renter alliance of TRI living out in Deklein, and if anyone remembers these names - congratulations! You have an excellent memory. CEO of Heretic Logistics at that time was a man by the name of Fat Edd/Vader. We thought this guy was okay. We were wrong.
I had a friend in EVE, Sahaquiel Faust, who had followed me from corporation to corporation across the game since mid-2007, and he wanted a Myrmidon. The corp had the minerals, I had the BPC, and I had permission from Fat Edd to make the Myrmidon for Sahaquiel. I then sold it to him for 30m ISK (man, those were the days - when a Myrmidon cost only 30m. I miss those days). The ISK went into my wallet, and I went offline for a nap and a shower. Scant hours later, the alliance Ventrilo explodes with Fat Edd swearing and making implications about my parentage. Turns out I "had no right" to sell the Myrmidon to Sahaquiel (despite the fact that I had been given permission to do so) and that by not immediately putting all the money into the corporation wallet (despite the fact that given the close-knit nature of ANTI and LOAF, members of Heretic Logistics often just took payment personally and then tithed a share to the corp wallet) I was showing blatant disrespect for everyone in the alliance and I was a duplicitous thief.
I attempted to appease him to no avail. When other people stepped into the argument on my behalf, he removed almost every role from everyone in the corporation and announced his intent to take everything belonging to the corp and leave. This accomplished only one thing - it meant that no-one could refuel our corporation's large tower (that he had paid for) that had, due to the argument taking up so much of our time, gotten critically low on fuel, so it went offline. Rare Faction, who were operating in the area at the time, blew it up. I then noticed that he had only removed my director roles, not my specially-customised corp hangar access roles - so I took everything in every corp hangar and put it in my own, so he couldn't steal it. His stillborn corp theft having failed, he announced that he intended to stagnate the corp by leaving it without any directors, at which point the CEO of ANTI, MirrorGod, said "hahaha no, I have majority share ownership in LOAF" and instated me as CEO.
Fat Edd/Vader then teamed up with ANTI's long-time rivals, Misfits Enterprises, led by notorious troll Outlaw Jenner, and announced his intent to join a different corp in TCA, starting what he called an "in-alliance wardec" to "kick us out." Amazingly, the corp he chose, which also happened to be the executor corp, actually allowed him to join and start work on this. We called TCA's head honchos out on this ridiculous state of affairs, and received as a response what amounted to a shrugging of shoulders and a "meh." At this point, blue-on-blue fighting was actually occuring in O-2RNZ and surrounding systems and because Fat Edd/Vader and Outlaw Jenner were never particularly intelligent individuals, not all of the people getting lit up were actually even members of ANTI or LOAF (in fact, they mostly weren't). This did not assist alliance cohesion.
Eventually we peaced out and went to join Destiny. alliance, who lived further north in Deklein, but not before filing a complaint with Triumvirate itself saying "TCA has allowed a corp thief with a grudge to join its executor corp and bring mercenaries into Deklein for the purposes of starting a blue-on-blue war." Needless to say, Triumvirate was not amused. TCA eventually kicked Fat Edd out of the alliance but by that point, the damage was done, confidence in its leaders was shattered and the alliance crumbled.
Although he doesn't actually play the game at the moment, Sahaquiel Faust, through the many years since that point, has kept the Myrmidon that inspired this whole preposterous affair in his hangar in Dodixie. We call it the Blamethrower.

... a few years later, in 2010, my alliance, The Last Brigade, was living in Wicked Creek. We were at the time, White Noise. renters, after they had kicked out Atlas. (we were Atlas. renters) I again, just spent every cent I had, and some borrowed on a Nyx. I had lots of success ratting amons with it, and was sitting in the only system we were paying cyno jamming for.
So, I was going to go over to a real life buddies house and play eve and hang out. But my dumbass decided to check eve right after my shower, and not immediately go. So I logged in, and got on TS, and one of my alliance mates called out 'Hey Reap, we got some reds moving around out here, we want to set up a gate camp, why don't you join us?' I said nah I'm gonna go to a friends, and don't want to risk it... but uh.. how many ships? "6" Did you notice a hic? "Nope!" (note I forgot to ask about a dictor..) hmm... ok what the heck, I got nothing to lose (famous last words) I warped to the gate at 100, and just sat there. We chilled for like 30 min, and all the while I'm thinking man its late I need to go. My buddy called and asked what I was doing, and I told him I'd be leaving shortly just doing a gate camp.
I then told my alliances mates I'd go in 5. about 3 min later we get a gate activate. I launch fighters, and see 6 ships, nothing to big.. then I notice a dictor. I said 'meh i'll be fine' and engaged. My alliances mates pop and notice the dictor is burning his ass towards me. I recalled fighters (honestly this was stupid and I pankied, in hinde sight I should of just jump to one of our other systems that had a cyno beacon, but oh well) and just as they returned, the dictor dropped a bubble, and just as quickly his buddies were on me. I deploy drones, and again in a mild panic I attacked the wrong target. I then quickly changed to the dictor, but they called in reinforcements, and as the dictors shield is dropping he drops another probe, burns out and warped off.
So I'm thinking great.. just keep moving. The 5 others start ramming me and now I'm really panicked. I am not controlling my drones, just spaming jump, trying to get out. Calling for help on coms. (my guys started doing bomber runs to try and help) a little bit later, 10 ships join the fight, and just as the dictor bubble pops, the dictor lands on me and drops another. I regain my thoughts and send all I got on the dictor... but then I notice two guardiens on over view. so no matter what I do I can't break the damn dictor. 5-10 min later, I forget, I'm resolved that I'm gonna die. my shield is holding, but I can't get away. The thought to log off and just hope my tank holds, never crossed my mind (I got props for this later btw) my guys are doing bombing runings and poping. I hit 50% shield and tell them they can stop. So they do. Then over coms, in a heavy Russian accicent I hear "Reap... need help?" I had a pure Russian corp in the alliance, they did not talk, but if I pointed and said 'shoot that' I usually got a 'Da... fire!' so I said "Yes, I'm stuck in O-R, can't get out, gonna die, help would be good." Then the response made my blood go cold "Ok reap... I bring mothership" it took me a second to process that they ment there super. A part of me said 'hey this could be good they can rep me and we can hold' another part said 'oh **** this be bad' the latter was correct. I started yelling in coms 'nyte, no, stop, nyte! don't!" then I hear "in warp to you..." ugh! He lands on grid at 50 from me... and I'm like '****!" So I lock him and start slow boating, they focus fire on him, I get in range to toss a rep on him just as he poped (his fit sucked) I *head desk* and then they return to me. I hold on maybe another 5 min, then pop.
OFC this was news... esp because a week later we got scammed out of 25b. Ain't eve lovely?
So I had a carrier for a week, a mom for a month... I'm pretty much banned from titans lol

In Nov of 2012 I followed my friends out to Null. We lived in Malpais with Black Core Alliance under Solar Fleet. On one of my very first big null ops I flew my drake to the staging point and asked, on comms, if I could use it in fleet. I couldn't use the doctrine ships of that time because up till then I was a mining and missioning carebear. Rightfully they laughed at me on comms with a hundred plus people. Told me to grab a slasher from the market. "I don't care what you do with it, rookie. Make it useful and try not to die."
It turned out glorious. I couldn't even use projectile weapons at the time. But I heard our enemy was going to use tornados. So I fit it with speed and minmatar jams. Had a blast jamming and tackling battlecruisers with my shitfit little slasher!
The end of that ship. |

Worst confession ever, related to Eve.
Bailed on an alliance op with a really crappy excuse. Actual reason for bailing was because spouse was feeling frisky. Engaged in marital relations. Forgot that I had teamspeak on at the time, set to voice activation, with laptop sitting on stand next to bed.
Came back to eve later and got quite a few tips and suggestions on coital relations from corpmates.
It isn't really hard, but I think there are customers that you can lose in a good way and there's customers that you can lose in a bad way. If people come in and fundamentally don't like EVE Online, then I think that might be a good way of losing customers. . -á--CCP Soundwave

So, *cough* anyway. Ummm ... we are on the way home as a fleet. There is a drag bubble, we ping up to it then we all start to jump through the gate. I was one of the ones to get through quick. The rest hit an interdiction bubble and got caught. Figured... I will just wait on this side to burn through. I .... have this thing for drones. >.> (One day EVE news will cover a story and they will ask, "So, why did you escalate to super caps?" and the reply will be, "It all started when we went back for Jen's drones" ) Right. There I was picking up enemy drones, (day dreaming away, half listening to the comms and fight on the other side of the gate) .... when along comes another alliance to dunk on us. (Guess who? ) and I am way out from the gate ... My fleet appears and the logi team probably over heated to get to me and save me.
They managed ... but I couldn't tell them at the time that: a) I was out there collecting drones. b) Forgot to turn my hardeners on.

I am wondering how many people perceive their post as their Best confession while everyone reading it assumes it is their worst?
When I first started I flew repeatedly into lo sec to get skill books at a cheap price. Upon trying to return to hi sec my ships kept blowing up. Had this happen 2 or 3 times and assumed that for some reason my sec status was too low to travel back and forth between lo and hi sec, causing my ships to blow up.
Months later I discovered the kill mails I was on.
But then again when I was a kid I thought mustaches grew out of men's noses.

"Yeah, we can probably take on a Stabber and an Omen, we just have to close the gap. Don't forget to turn on your Damage Controls!" -FC Azda's even earlier bright idea. The cruisers in question killed 5 of us in about 30 seconds.
My best so far came a couple weeks in. I'm CEO to a small PvP corp, and I log in to a fellow newbie spamming corp chat asking for help, turns out he'd been held hostage for like an hour after losing a duel, his opponent scrammed his pod and wouldn't kill him or let him go "because he insulted him". My corp mate didn't know you could self destruct, but to make things more interesting I instead told him to move his pod in as close to the other guy's ship as possible and accept my fleet invite. Couple minutes later, I'm warping in with a Catalyst with the biggest blasters I can fit, a few volleys worth of faction antimatter, a web, scram and "battle music" blaring in my headphones.
BANG BANG BANG BANG.
Justice is a Catalyst . Having him put a bounty on me, make my kill right public, and refuse my convo invite made it all the sweeter. Worth being Concorded over, no question.
I'm guessing my real worst moment is still in the making, hopefully more better-er moments are too.

I used a mix of long range rails/arty with AC/blasters and of various sizes too.

Mixing guns. Crossing tank types. Paying zero attention to skill and role bonuses. Let's not even mention the most classic newbie mistake that most players never actually get over: trying to fly every single ship like a close-range brawler frig, forever (ie: never not orbit at 700m)....

1. I have lost unfit ships in nullsec as I was moving them from the station I bought them in to the station where my modules were. 2. I tried to speed tank losec gate guns in 'ceptors a few times before I realized that that wasn't really a thing. 3. I used to run level 4 missions in a 4/4 rail/cruise Rokh. 4. I brought sniper Eagles to old-school battleship sniper fights before it was cool. Or effective. 5. I have been suicide-ganked while autopiloting along major pipes. 6. I nearly lost out on an Arazu kill because I assumed that my drones would, you know, attack the Arazu I was engaging and not the losec gate guns that were firing on me. 7. I shot the sheriff. 8. I have looted roughly half a billion ISK worth of stuff in the past month from offline POS arrays. 9. I hull tank, and I like it. 10. I've made most of my long-term friends in EvE by shooting at them or being shot at by them.

Even worse, I bought TWO.

Just remembered one of my worst. So we are lowsec dudes right? Often we have killrights on us, so we are supposed to know how they work. OK, so this corpmate got himself ganked somewhere in hisec hauling stuff. I ask him to open up the KR so we can go hunt down the ganker in question. We find him and I start killing him...
Had I bothered to actually activate the KR I would still have that Hurricane. Instead I got CONCORDed and a KR was placed on me for illegal agression. I looked like a right fool and our marks off course laughed in local at my incompetence.

I once lost a set of LG Slave implants in lowsec while trying to warp to the sun to escape. After several failed attempts to warp and screaming at the computer, someone finally put me out of my misery. Epic facepalm moment ensued when I remembered we had been fighting at the sun... I was mining in Hibi in my Procurer one night, about halfway through my second drink, when my alliance director asks if I want to pop down to his lowsec system and mine some gnesis. Sure, why the hell not? He tells me they've got some ships down there for me to use, but no, I say, I'll just bring my own. So I jump my Proc four jumps down into lowsec and start mining with them. A few folks from my small alliance, a few people from a local corp we were friends with, and then a handful of others ratting in the belts and promising to come shoot things if things started shooting us. I fill up on the prismatic and go to pour myself another round. When I get back, everyone is bailing from the ore site because there's apparently a fleet moving through the near by systems and it was quittin' time. So I bail out......through the gate, not to the station where they had blockade runners ready to take the ore back to highsec and shuttles for all. No, I decided that I was going to take my slow ass barge back through four lowsec jumps with a hostile fleet running around. The rest writes itself. There was a maller on the other side of the gate because of course there was. And that maller was watching the gate on behalf of said fleet because of course they were. So I says to myself "Self, let's play a game. See if you can down this third glass of rum and coke before they kill you." I break cloak, immediately pointed because I was still using a maximum tank proc with no stabs, and then the fleet shows up. A couple marauders, handful of cruisers, five or six assault frigates. I fire up my hardeners, launch drones because I have drones to launch, and just chug the rum. And then I pop and, as a small victory, I managed to save my pod for the first time in my Eve career. Didn't finish the drink though.
Got back to hisec and mined a little more.

I was younger, and dumber. It happens. Not that embarrassing but I remember it well. It's funny how our "characters" grow with us over the years in regards to our own maturity, intelligence, gullability, etc. I can't really name an online experience that can parallel my own life like EVE does simply because our interactions matter so much in game.
My second would probably be when I was halted on a gate by a gang and I gave up my Hyperion simply because they ordered me to. I hadn't been playing long and could barely fly it. I was sad at first, but that event is what fueled my drive to learn Pvp. |

One of my Alts lead a several hundred strong fleet into a certain part of 0.0, and their certain doom.
Carrying several weeks worth of POS fuel in many expanded iterons for several POS (back then that was alot of Iterons, in the pre Capital age). Not to mention a bucket load of isk, a fortune in that time.
We'd had assurances of Blue status from all sides we'd pass through (this was also before alliances were in game mechanisms and before blue settings actually worked in space, alliance wise).
We got halfway, then both sides of a certain pipe descended upon us, Red-Sea-no-longer-parted style.
A handful made it through, but probably 95% of the cargo and well over 70% of the convoy got wiped out within a few minutes.
... the remainder got wiped out a few hours later when they thought things had calmed down.
Although people may say I was not solely responsible, as the architect and initiator I do feel it.
I was new back then. And ... have to admit, what a fracking rush it was! A day worthy of remebering. So much action, so much team work, so much adrenaline. Learnt alot too.
(We did eventually make it up there and live peacefully in our second attempt).

One thing that has always amazed me about MMORPGs is how "guild drama" (okay, corp drama, but I digress...) is a universal. Someone you thought you knew and/or trusted flips out over something totally inoccuous (or totally hilarious/awkward), loses their minds, refuses to back down, attempts a ninja, and then, regardless of success or failure, tries to destroy the organization.
I guess that the lesson in this -- if there is a lesson at all -- is that people, across the board, are pretty friggin' stupid. I understand that these individuals are necessary as a foil so that the true luminaries amongst us can shine all the brighter. But it doesn't negate the fact that the dumb fall into patterned behavior, and in MMORPGs, this is one of those patterns.
I once belonged to a guild in WoW where the GM was trading epics through the DKP system for cybering. When it finally came out, similar drama ensued. I also once had a WoW guild break up because I (the GM) took the gold (like barely 700g) out of the bank to buy a new bank tab (essentially just reinvesting it), and one of the officers flipped out so badly because of the 'theft' that it shattered the guild. People are very strange. Stupid, as I mentioned earlier, yes, but damned strange, too. |

i warped in first, and as i cleared the acceleration gate, my screen goes black.
and stays black.
i tell my friend this on TS, as he's following me in. he tells me i'm just sitting there, getting pounded on. and it's not looking good.
my first BS goes boom while i can't do anything about it and the loot fairy says no with regard to the mission item.

I was playing with one of my ex's kids one day and he thought he could duel with me as if it were WoW. This was in 2006. Anyway he was concorded and lost his Cyclone. Had not even played a month and it was his first BC too.
He cries about it in local and some space rich veterans give him ISK. He buys another Cyclone and then undocks it to go get modules.
... while the GCC was still on
and got popped again
Think the story is over? No.
He was given enough ISK for 2 Cyclones. So he gets a new one and does not undock right away. He leaves to get modules.
And gets ganked in Amamake.
He was actually jumping up and down screaming "That's it! I'm not playing this game any more!!!".

Oh, my, done this so many times.
In the times before sound alerts, IGÇÖd often be happily ratting/missioning whatever GǪ and be so focused on something (targeting, chatting, looking aimlessly at pretty spacescape, zooming into a distant star, rotating the camera) that IGÇÖd totally forget IGÇÖd not switched on any tank or even if I had, just realise in time that I was into Hull. Warp out with ~5% Hull left GǪ flames coming out from every direction.
Possibly my embarrassing loss though (and most infuriating) was taking a Domi into a level 2 mission I think. I was all, ok, not sure what the mission is, but IGÇÖll be safe in a domi, whatever it can throw at me, so itGÇÖll be cool, and I can whizz through it. As whizzing through a bunch of missions was my aim for whatever reason. So, I fit it out, gallantly warp in and GǪ Scrambled by like ten frigates. Forgot to put in drones. Guns canGÇÖt hit the damn ships. Eventually the full mission spawns, as I sit there, immobile, and unable to warp GǪ and over possible the slowest 30-45minutes EVER the Domi slowly realises itGÇÖs inevitable fate, and dies. To a bunch of Atrons and a Vexor. *Shame*.
The thing that got me was that from the first few seconds into it, I knew my fate, and my stupidity and the outcome. It was one of those occasions that mad me stop playing for a few weeks. Lol.

Oh, why not I'll post with my main . Here's a wall of text for a long story.
So, I had a friend in gal-mil by the name of {redacted} and he was training to become an fc (wasn't half bad for being a ceo as well) after i noticed my corp starting to go downhill, I joined his. It wasn't half, bad 2-5 close knit guys.
Over time he began to get down on himself, but got really excited whenever we went wormhole exploring from our corner of lowsec. stopd fcing altogther shortly after . I told him after 2-3 weeks of this "I'll join the big corp in the alliance and you can go do what you want, we'll pass the corp to someones dead alt." . He said "thank you, I'll check with the other guys to make sure they agree". So he left on his journey and we went our seperate ways.
About 3 weeks later he invites me to a convo. Apparently Zam Hunter (another FC in galmil) ganked his WH Legion. He wanted revenge and asked me to gather intel on Zam, I initially said "no, give me time to think". I sat and thought for an hour about how I could get paid without backstabbing on of my fellow militamen and one of our prominent leaders. I decided on feeding false intel. convo with him "accepted". I tell Him "I'll do it for 250 million minimum", one reply "done".
I spent the next few hours storming up battleship fits and other shiny things (without fitting importation from eft this wouldn't be possible). I sent him 1 new fitting a week for 4 weeks. I asked the next time I saw he was online "Mind if i ask who's doing the dirty work?". He replied "camel empire however they require 7 billion for a price on this, anything else is spilt between us". "ok, how much more do you need?" I asked. "500 million". It's at this point i bit my lip to keep from laughing, knowing full well they'll hunt him from Black Rise to Cobalt Edge. With a smile I prepare one last fitting.
1 gila fit later I had 500 million, had protected Zam Hunter (had told him what happened) and stabbed one of my friends in the back for trying to betray the place he called home for 1 year prior. afaik camel empir might be hunting down my ex-ceo for 7 billion now
(TL;DR Dont trust people who are loyal to gather your intel) |

Fell asleep.
Woke up a couple of hours later and there were still rats present. Thought, gee that's funny.
Warped back to station and docked. When my pod popped up on screen, I had a 4 am epiphany.

I logged in one evening in our wormhole only to be immediately collared by our FC. They were in nullsec, down a short chain, in combat. Armor DPS, now. OK, no problem. I grab something (a Prophecy, IIRC; maybe a VNI) and zip down the chain into nullsec... and the system is totally empty.
"Where are you guys?"
"We're in [some alphanumeric gibberish]. When can you be here?"
"Let me see." I set destination to the specified system. 23 jumps. I took the wrong damn chain.
Back up the chain all the way home, back down another chain, out into the proper exit only 5 jumps away, and... it's over.
I'm bad enough that I don't often get embarrassed playing this game, but this was bad even for me.

Ah, I have another good one.
In my first days, I spent all my money purchasing T2 small ships (Cheetahs and similar). I could not even fly a cruiser, my best was a T1 Rifter with MAPC aid.
I formed a six fully expanded and rigged Mammoths (large T1 hauler) train to carry them. Of course with my humble newb pilots skills + expanders those took like 1 minute to align .
Loaded to the brim, I merrily passed made 40 jumps with each, including passing from Uedama and whatsnot, destination Jita, where I'd resell them at a good profit.
Incredibly enough, nobody popped them.
Also, for reasons whose "logic" escaped myself, I thought the smartest idea EVER would have been to make those haulers meet at Uedama (yeah I was good at choices like that! ) with a fleet coming from Jita. So the first ones could go back to Minnie space quicker.
And where in the heavens would I think to perform the swap? Since they were my first EvE weeks, all the ganking I knew happened at stations undocks (I had no idea passing through Uedama / Sivala is worse, yet).
So I "smartly" thought: "well, I'll show those gankers my superiority: I am going to warp at 100 off a planet and swap the cargo there".
I ejected EVERY single T2 ship, there was a little "cloud" around me.
...Surprise...
... every ejected T2 ship self assembled in space and became a neutral ship, ready for boarding.
I tried to get them back inside the other haulers but no, it was not possible at all. They wouldn't magically repackage! I could not fly a single ship of those. For 34 days at a minimum (it was still the days of learning books etc. etc.)!
Since apparently I had a keen sense for self inflicting torture, I managed to worsen the situation.
I started spamming Uedama and 4-5 nearby systems (low sec included! ) with desperate requests for help. To get somebody to pilot those now neutral ships for me away from the planet to the nearest station.
Thanks to the cold, harsh, selfish nature of EvE nobody cared to reply. Else I'd have learned what calling people and auto-gifting away T2 ships en masse is like...
At this point... I learned the second EvE Law (the first being: "don't fly what you can't afford to lose"), that is: "the second you undock, consider your ship lost. If you get back in one piece, that's a welcome bonus".
I then proceeded flying my empty haulers back to Minnie space, headbanging IRL walls and calling myself unrepeatable names.
34 days later, I passed back from Uedama. Just for the sake of curiosity, I bothered to fly to the planet where all my ships were abandoned more than 1 month ago, ripe for taking.
And the incredible happened.
Nobody cared to go take them. They were still all there! I still don't understand why, as back at the time ISK was not easy to come by (and PLEX did not exist) and those ships were quite expensive.
But hey, who cares about logic, when the the lack of such logic just saved your ass? Therefore I spent a good time flying all those ships to the nearby station and learned more and more lessons about EvE in the process.

We had just ganked some site runners in a wormhole, The pods got away but I had a bubbler on the high sec constantly bubbling their attempts at an exit.
Constantly these pods warped to the highsec hole at range and warped away again. 'planet 9' one of the other guys said as he watched the pod make it's exit.
I gave chase in my daredevil on my second account. Landing at planet 9 I see nothing. a few minutes pass and the pod comes back and warps off, once again i give chase. . . finding nothing.
Eventually we catch the pod on his warp back to the highsec and kill him. Finally i stop and look at my main sitting by a poco wondering how i never found this pod.
Turns out in my hurry i never jumped into our static and was just bouncing POCOs in my home system.

I got confused one day about which JC I was in, and self destructed my 1 bil + pod outside the Amarr hub for no apparent reason, probably thinking i was taking the pod express from a blank clone to an implanted one.
I organized a ganking op for my corp. There were 4 or 5 of us. We went to Uedama and ganked a Magnate with 2 plex inside it. Both plex dropped, and nobody got the loot because I forgot to assign someone the task of loot-scooper. We all lost our ships to Concord and some random guy had a very nice day.

Once I tried to make a good profit flipping Myrmidons because there was a 10 or so millions isk difference between them. To my dismay, people kept putting up Myrmidons for the lower, closer to Jita, price. I wound up with 10 or so Myrms I'd have to sell for a loss :(
Happy ending. Our CEO was leaving the game for a while, so he was running special versions of his signature Black Tie Affair (BTA) fleets that he's been running for 6 years (Handsome Millionaire Playboys is/was the corp). For this one, we ran nano curses and Myrmidons, courtesy of myself. You may not think it, but our fleet composition of Curses and Myrmidons was so good nobody wanted to actually engage us and they all ran away...

So many fails...
I had never played an MMO before EVE, so I knew nothing. Nobody explicitly told me that you had to look at your standings to see what kind of missions you could run, and the Agent Finder didn't exist at the time, so I ran level 1 missions for two months.
I used blaster Catalysts for everything, before either blasters or Catalysts were buffed, because I liked the hull and the fact that you had to dogfight to do anything. Never mind that I was terrible at it. I even used cargo-expanded Catalysts as haulers.
During that time, I also managed to screw up this character for a long time afterward by training everything to 3. And I mean everything. Dersen's terrible at things he's never even tried to do, like industry. Fortunately, he's pretty good at what he does do by now.
We lived in Devoid for a while, when I'd been in the game for about 3 months. I thought sec status was much more important than it actually is, so I dreaded taking my little shopping Catalyst through the big, dark, scary 0.2 system. I much preferred the 0.4 system, which was brighter and made me feel safe because, hey, it's almost high sec! I wondered why comms got silent when I cheerfully explained my reasoning. The 0.4 system was Amamake.
We joined a nullsec coalition which was about 100 different kinds of fail, but I wasn't helping. I flew armor and hybrids. They ordered me into a Drake. I frantically trained the skills until I was a crappy Drake pilot. Then they ordered me into a Megathron. I had never flown a battleship. By the time my ship lumbered clumsily toward our lowsec staging system, I had Gallente Battleship 2 and Large Hybrid Turret 3. I had no business flying that thing. The FC ordered short range BS's. I derped and grabbed my long range BS. Then he changed his mind at the last minute and ordered long range, and I was good to go--which was good, because otherwise it would have been another 8 jumps to get the other one. We roamed around losing ships to gate rats for a while. I started to fall behind because my navigation skills were trained to 3, but I always managed to catch up. We ended up pathetically failing to threaten one single service belonging to an enemy station... in long range battleships, before getting badly trolled by a Thanatos.
Anyway, I get shy around large groups, and I was a high sec carebear, so when I logged in one day and got a fleet invite, I accepted it blindly. You know the rest of the story: Suddenly I'm in warp. Suddenly I'm surrounded by reds. There was nothing to do but say 'Hi!' in Local and then log off, figuring that there was no way I'd survive anyway. I didn't sleep well that night. The next morning, I was quite surprised to find myself back where I was, in my pod, but I didn't want to talk to anyone because oh god that kill mail.

Best:
I have an HQ station in lowsec where I keep most of my assets. I broke out a scanning ship to test out a new fit and found a wormhole in my home system. Go in, and see a ton of T3 manufacturing arrays on a large POS. I made bookmarks, and researched the corp that owned it. I found most of the members of that corp on killboards, and added them all as contacts (they were all variations of the same name). I figured this whole thing was being run by one dude, and he'd be slow to react. Maybe I could catch a mining fleet out or something? Anyway, after hours of meta stalking and bookmark making, I was about to wrap it all when they all logged in at once. I put my scanning ship off the POS and saw my target taking out hoarder after hoarder. He had found the lowsec wormhole which would put him one jump from empire. He was doing a loot/supply run. I got into my Onyx and killed a bunch on both sides of the WH when they tried to make their run. I got another trying to come back in with POS parts. I made billions on that hit. I even had a great convo with the guy operating those accounts. (He was rich enough that it was 'cost of doing business' and didn't care too much... apparently...) It was all the time I put into the hunt that made the payoff so sweet. It was a unique EvE experience for me.
Worst:
So at a poorer time in my New Eden life, I decided to take some mods and stuff to our station in Esoteria. How much did I put into my Badger Mk. II (Tyra)? Everything I had, of course. About 1.4 billion rolling through nullsec in an uninsured T1 indy. Yup. Well I made it all the way to Esoteria w/o incident, but ran into some pirates 6 jumps from my destination. Whereas another might hit a planet at 70 and cloak / hide / wait, I got impatient and tried to outrun them. ...because stabs, right? I made it all the way to my destination system, and then lost the ship and pod on the gate. Ouch. It was crushing at the time... but I recovered. ...in time. |

I was part of a HERO coalition fleet flying my shiny new Tengu. I had just spent the past 3 weeks getting the skills up for it and had just gotten enough ISK to purchase it.
However I made the mistake of going into fleet on my laptop instead of my desktop.
About 10 seconds into the battle I noticed I had issues locking and unlocking targets and my guns weren't firing, or they were firing at the wrong target.
Then after about 15 minutes, I notice the enemy fleet starts locking me up and I naturally broadcast for reps.
"Tonai Kion you are too far away from the Logi. Anchor up we can't lock you."
Panic mode starts I notice I'm careening into the enemy fleet with full afterburner. I start taking damage.
"Tonai Anchor back up now! you are going to die."
I'm clicking like a madman trying to get back into fleet.
"WTF is wrong with this guy."
"He's not getting any SRP for being stupid."
I predictably die soon after.

Back in the days of insurance fraud I managed to talk a player who was getting into building T1 battlecruisers to knock out 100 hurricanes for me at Rens buy -5%. I then proceeded to undock and self destruct each one. Needless to say I was not very subtle and did this on the same alt that purchased them. Whilst I was busy doing this I failed to notice the seller log in. I did notice when Rens local filled up with profanity. From memory my profit from each one was approximately 2.1mil. That will definitely do it.
Once I was (pre warp to zero) travelling through tenerifis to empire with a hold full of Promethium, or simillar. Got about halfway and jumped into a gate that my scout had just been through and cleared. Uncloaked, and set for warp to other gate. While I was taking the usual 'age' to get into warp a gang of around a dozen entered system. "Oh ****" I thought. And the adrenaline started flowing (it would pump later on!). Got in to warp seconds later and arrived at the gate promptly. Turned on the MWD and legged it to the gate praying I'd reach it before they warped in. I was, rightly, assuming they were locals and would have BM's on the gate. I reached the gate and clicked jump, as a cloud of neuts surrounded me. I knew what would be waiting for me the other side of the gate, so I just closed my eyes for a few seconds till the jump sound died away.
I opened my eyes, to find I was not yet decloaked. Ok, so the odds were possibly in my favour there as the random thing spreads us all out. The next challenge was worse. They started decloaking and shunting out drones, orbiting the gate at 20. I had one card to get out safely. The transport I was in had a cloak - for just such un occurrence. Finally I was going to test it - if I could keep my hands steady enough to direct myself manually (no 'align to' back then either), thus decloak, hit the MWD, and hit Cloak. THis I managed to do ... and amazingly I did it quick enough to avoid any targeting, Phew ...
That was the difficult part. Now came the hard part. Knowing that there was total sh*t-all I could do, I sat back and zoomed out and waited. Waited for the ships to come close, and the drones to whizz up to me. Right at the start they re-directed themselves to where I'd briefly appeared. I could see them all making a bee line for the place I'd just left behind. The god's must have been on my side that day, for the closest any then can was 7K from me. How on earth they missed me ... I'll never know. But watching them circle the gate ever further, was nerve wracking.
I waited almost a full hour getting plenty away from the gate (they were still circling the gate etc, not to mention the taunts in local about how I should give up as they'll find me anyway, and the rest), and then decided to align to a Planet. My plan to warp and cloak, then log. Cowardly? Maybe, but my cargo was pricey and I wanted to keep it. Lol. I reckon I must have been around 100K from them when I finally decided that I was correctly aligned to a planet (that would also be one of several planets in a tight group, a minor attempt to confuse them if they decided to track my path). The Adrenalin pumped this time (see, told you) as I prepared to uncloak, in full view, and (probably) within targeting range of at least one or two. Weirdly, I was so nervous and focused on what I was trying to do, that during all this time IGÇÖd not actually checked to see what class of ships there were! I just knew they had guns, and at least one was a big mofo GÇô in a hauler you donGÇÖt need to know more than that. I double checked I was aligned, at max speed allowed under cloak, and held my breath. Hit the uncloak, hit warp GǪand prayed.
The locks happened pretty damn smart. Within milliseconds it seemed I had three or four locked on me GǪ just as warp kicked in and I was gone. Thank god for that!. I eventually logged back on some hours later, they were gone. And I restarted my journey (with alt scout). I had around ten jumps left and the route was clear GÇô until the choke system, obviously. The scout went in. He was expendable so he found the entrance was clear, and for the hell of it went to check the exit into lo-sec. Amazingly, it was clear as well! Amazingly, because the same group of nasty types were in local! I thought I had one shot. This was the quietest IGÇÖd known this area anyway, and I thought GÇ£ok, theyGÇÖre not GÇÿsetupGÇÖ on a camp, so just maybe IGÇÖll catch them mid warp or something and get out. I did, for this particular gate, have a warp to zero BM ready (who wouldnGÇÖt) and so I thought as long as the enterance is clear, I should be ok. So. Low breathing again and I went in. Gate was clear, activate warp to exit gate. The system whizzes past, and I arrive at the gate and GǪ. Nothing. Nothing worked. I stared in amazement as my alt warped in afterwards. He could see my hauler motionless in space. I had succumbed to a damn gate bug thing at the time and I was frozen out. Through my haulers eyes I could see the gang warp in. In seconds they dispatched me. After all that GǪ however I had one more trick.
I knew this was a bug, so I thought IGÇÖd try my luck. Petition filed. They came back quickly saying that they would provide replacement. For some GÇÿbizarreGÇÖ reason they could replace the ship, and anything that didnGÇÖt drop in the can. I mean, seriously, their excuse for doubling up on a couple of mining lasers in the game is a bit GÇÿjobs-worthGÇÖ but hey, GǪ I was just amazed that none of the Moon mins had dropped in the cargo. Lol. CCP dumped it all in a system near the choke point some days later. Which reminds me, IGÇÖve still not been back to collect it GǪ must remember to do that one day.

I once lost a battleship in lowsec because I fit an afterburner when trying to cloak+mwd travel.
Lost a 2 bil isk tengu because I went back for 2000 missiles I left in a can at a site.
I've joined corps with the full intention of stealing but didn't do it when I liked the people and they still don't know.

So I was solo roaming in lowsec in my single ancillary tanked Thorax of doom, when suddenly A WILD WORM APPEARS. For some reason I don't exactly remember I was already at an asteroid belt or warp to one, and promptly got myself tackled. If I recall correctly his fit had empty highs so all of his dps was from drones; he began to orbit at about 25k and set a pair of drones on me.
Seeing as how those two drones represented the entirety of his 180-220 DPS, I began to web/scram and explode them while thrashing about like a madman with my overheated ancillary and MWD. And then the Worm pilot slammed into a nearby asteroid right as I once again tried to slingshot him doing about 2800 m/s. Bounced off rock straight into my Thorax, I applied scram/web and the full fury of 5 medium blasters followed in short order by the Worm pilot leaving in his pod. I opened the wreck, scooped 200M in faction loot and before I could escape was once again tackled by his corpmate in a Crow mumbling something in local about "dropping the loot." An Arazu also joined the party, but was either not fit with a scram or bad because I was able to slingshot out of the interceptor's point and warp to gate, giving them a good wave in local as I jumped into highsec with loot worth about 7x my total ship value.
If you ever do anything so old school cliche as fight at an asteroid belt, remember the risks of trusting the "orbit at range" option. |

Oh god... there is a LIST of "bad" things I have done.
- I used to run and manage mining operations.
- I once killed a corpmember younger than myself for giggles.
- I have fallen for the ISK-doubling scam.
- I have fallen for the margin-trading scam.
- I have lost an Ishtar, Dominix, and almost lost a Macheriel doing level 4 missions.
- I once had a newbie light a cyno for my carrier (carrying billions of ISk worth of stuff). He lit it outside of docking range while a hostile pirate gang was in the area. I had to slowboat into docking range. I barely made it.
- I once played a drinking game with my fleet; take a drink each time we killed something and a shot if you died. We then encountered a large Brave Newbie frigate fleet (back when they really were newbies). We killed most of them before all dying in a fire. I don't remember logging off.
- I once whored onto my CEO's dying carrier.
- I tried to make a smartbombing Tristan "work." It doesn't.
- I have Remote Repped enemies by accident.
- I once Remote Repped AND shot at a miner whose corporation I was at war with... just to see how much it could tank.
- When my CEO passed out, drunk, on his keyboard he forgot to dock his destroyer... in the middle of an active FW warzone. Others and myself bumped him off-grid so he had a chance to survive... but I shot his ship anyways "just in case."
- I have sold the corpses of my corpmates to their enemies... for ISK and giggles.
- I have engaged Pandemic Legion sub-caps in a skirmish fight even though the bulk of their capital and supercapital force was one system over.
- I once fit a 1MN Microwarpdrive on a cruiser and engaged a hostile force. I only found out what I had done AFTER it was all over I and had redocked.
- I overloaded my Capital RRs "just to see how much more I could rep." The repair bill cost just as much as the reps themselves.
- I once took part in a fleet that was being FC'ed by someone not even in-game! He was just giving us orders via a Ventrilo app on his phone... while he was driving... at work. None of us died.
- I have GCC'ed next to a stargate... in a frigate... multiple times...
I can keep going.

now my Confession: After 16 month of playing .... they have all 0 (zero) kill.
And this is GREAT

Bought my first BS, a typhoon. It cost me all my isk and I had sold everything I owned, and I was very proud of it's dustbin-ish looks. Suffice to say I had no where near the skills I would need to use it properly, but who cares, it was massive. Ofc, every good ship needs good insurance, so I fit some mining lasers, and 4 torp launchers and head to the belts.
In warps a can flipping merlin, and he flips my can. The damned cheek! I won't stand for that! He is but a fly to my mighty elephant, and I shall swat him with my trunk! Well the opposite happens, my torpedoes are completely ineffective while he orbits and plinks away at my death machine.
There is nothing I can do, so I appeal to my flatmates (who are also my corp mates) to come to my aid. Instead, they come and stand in my room and watch, while laughing at me. The ordeal lasted at least 10 minutes before my once mighty ship exploded in a flash of blue.
And there I was, iskless, and mining in a noobship so that I could buy a frigate.
Pleasingly, I was treated to a cup of tea by one of my flatmates. The other, however, called me a noob and suggested my time would be better spent by unblocking the toilet.

ha, like it. ;)
Reminds me of the same story when I bought my Geddon, my first BS, in Nov 2004. Named it the golden eagle. Was in service in PURE as we colonised Vale of Silent for about three years until I got my second Geddon, upon when it got retired. I still have it. Now is even more glistening glory thanks to the graphic updates. :)

10 pages and going strong.
I read them all and I gotta say, some of the ones mentionned give an awful d+¬j+á vu... So here's another:
My main started a while ago going the Caldari route (Kestrel, Caracal, Drake...) until I had finally trained into an awesome ship, the Tengu. Since I played in lowsec at the time, it made sense to have a rather mobile ship instead of the CNR for my PVE. Then, once I realized this ship was great for PVP, it ended up being a running gag in my corp how I kept losing Tengus. The funny part is how every loss was quite different from the others:
1. Lost doing PVP going after L5 missioners Their Domi came back as a bait neut domi and waited at 0. - New lesson: the power of the neut Domi.
2. Lost doing 'unconsensual' PVP Getting tackled in lowsec on both sides of the gate. - New lesson: how to properly cross-tackle a target 101.
3. Lost pulling a LEEROY MMJENKINS right into a new 0.0 complex The one that escalates into 'Special Forces' in Angel space, went in thinking it can't possibly be worse than the hardest Guristas lowsec site. - New lesson: always do your PVE research.
4. Lost AFK to rats in 0.0 "... Dude, I SWEAR the tank was active before I went do my dishes quickly?" - New lesson: do not AFK. Period.
--- NOTE --- At this point, I had been basically playing the game making ISK only to spend it on my new Tengu. Number 5 is the one I purchased after selling 90% of all assets so I could continue on my Tengu journey.
5. Lost unassembled being hauled on kick-out station Literally an error causing me to buy a bunch of ammo in 4 different stations instead of Jita. The kickout station, only lowsec on that list, was the last stop before heading back home. Also the only tengu lost on Thor Kerrigan. - New lesson : kick-out stations exist.
--- NOTE --- Nickname officially acquired...
6. Lost to obvious covert cyno bait Eventually got some ISK back, this one probably has the longest survival record... started AFK cloaking and got caught, roflstomped.
7. Lost getting awoxed in highsec Seriously, after all these years playing the game it totally deserved it.
8. Still alive? Got sold eventually.
9. Still alive, purchased a new one and is now collecting dust because Ishtars

i also went AFK for literaly a minute in my carrier in Provi while belt ratting once to come back to have a whole fleet wailing on my , waited a full 15 + mins for a CVA fleet to come and rescue me XD. got out with the carrier intact though lesson learned :-P |

I went to amarr all excited that I had finally trained into a mining barge. I bought all kinds of stuff to fit it out, including some very expensive ORE strip mining lasers. I also bought some blingy shield modules and some other modules I needed for my other ships.
Upon undocking, instead of Insta warping like I normally do, I just started to align with my destination gate. Basically I was then insta popped and podded.
My jaw hit my keyboard when I realized I had just lost a little over 600,000,000 isk and it was nobodies fault but mine.
Monumentally embarrassed I taught myself a very valuable lesson that has left me psychotic paranoid when I travel abroad in EVE. |

Had the greatest thing happen! I warped into a system and ... the station was bubbled. I couldn't enter it to help my frands!
.... BUT the reds did an amazing job tackling and killing me! I lost a 2M ISK Talwar Then I was podded into the station I was trying to reach. Undocked a logi and denied many kills! Use kill mail (w@#$%ing) drones and got 100M+ worth of kills!
All in all, never been so happy to be killed in EVE. Thanks Brave!

Turn off a Cargo Hold expander on a T2 Industrial causing the ship to be over stuffed "for science." Do this in Thera, where warping drains your capacitor to 0. Land on station, find out I cannot dock. No real problems yet... Tornado undocks, can't cloak cause on station, can't warp cause over stuffed, can't dock cause over stuffed. Derp. Didn't even need to warp disrupt me. |

Recently bought a module for 2.5 bil in amarr to flip in jita for 4.5 bil. I got popped within 2 seconds of undocking. Funny thing is, the cargo container that the mod was in didn't drop, the only thing that made me feel better about being stupid.
few years ago, was flying an orca I couldn't afford to lose (lesson learned the hard way) on a trade route to pick up some purchased items. Ran into a gate camp that tore me to shreds. I even offered 100 mil to let me go along my way, got no mercy.
Needless to say, I stick to station trading now. I've lost too many ships hauling to do it anymore. |

When I had my first ever EVE toon I used to buy low-price ore, for re-sell, from low-security stations in a backwater constellation somewhere, and I ferried the goods, in a freighter I could in no way afford to replace, on my lonesome and without escort. I burn with shame even to this day! |

Needless to say an embarrasing killmail and waking up to be sitting in a pod. Did same thing on procurer, lost it to minor highsec rat and got pod killed by a guy on the frig.
Also, got my first PvP right after saying "Hello" in WH local.
But damn, this fruit just keeps on giving. Lost procurer to dictor-assisted Ishtar SHOOTING GODDAMNED ISHTAR INSTEAD OF DICTOR. Died with fast response fleet being two jumps away, just because I considered telling about being attacked while being deep in structure. Also, lost Helios in Curse shortly after. Yes, Helios in goddamned Curse. |

I bought stupidly expensive ships that can't dock just to shoot structures at best. In fact, they spend so long logged off it's ridiculous.

Losing expensive frigates to gate guns/faction police due to not paying attention to sec status/aggression timer.
Logging out in CVA space while in ratting battlecruiser, leaving game, coming back a few months later and logging in to be surrounded by bubbles and gate camps, with no sight of CVA anywhere in provi.
Losing a Legion to rats.
Failing to gank a Hulk in a Brutix. The target was not showing much in a way of sportsmanship over his victory.
As for the best, it's a draw between expensive faction drops in quick and easy exploration sites, landing right at the edge of a poorly placed bubble in a billion+ ship and making someone rage in local over spare change losses like a retriever.
Moderate strength is shown in violence, supreme strength is shown in levity.

- First 2 minutes ever in Eve, I aggro Concord in rookie ship and get blapped, and security status goes negative. Somebody in local immediately chimed in local "Dalto Bane, your blinky and bad security status already?? Impressive!!"
- I lost my first 10mil of Isk in game to a hauling scam. Well, less of a scam and more of a lack of knowledge and understanding of what a "contract" was in game. I figured the request he made that I pay him collateral for hauling MY stuff was completely on the up and up. Still don't know how I survived adolescents when this is the type of critical decision making skills I was blessed with.
- After years of playing Eve, the overview settings remain a mystery to me. All would be lost if it wasn't for Sarah Overview pack. It gets me me 98% there. I tweak the last 2% and then pat myself on the back and strut around my computer like I have decoded some ancient cryptic manuscript. Sad, but true
- I have, in past corps/alliances/fleets fit my ship and have linked to others a wrong fit if where the actual doctrine fit originated from someone who was a blow hard know-it-all or just plain annoying just to spite that person... don't judge me... cause you know the guy I'm talking about.. the one-upper, strict to form types,, always critical of any fits other than something they unicorned up despite only maybe seeing it in a twitch strwam, maybe? Not the FC but likes to bark.. oh yeah, I jacked his comps all sideways.. Armor Drakes, check.. T2 hulls with T1 guns and mods, double check... I actually think this classifies as more of a mental illness than embarrassing.
Well there more.. but that is really all I care to share without my lawyer present. o7

My first solo kill mail was solely do to the gate guns. I had 1.2 or some odd percent damage on the actual mail.
came across a really weird camp. 1x armor plate Tornado 2x kesterals 1x Arazu. the tornado red boxed me so I hit the orbit at 500 button and spin to win, I thought I was doing really good but apparently barrage in 425s doesn't track well when orbiting at 500. I got just over a percent damage in the mail the gate guns did the rest. I even forgot to launch drones.
regardless the rest of the gang did not bother following suit and stayed on gate. they never even locked me.
the gang was bickering between each other in local....... To this day I'm not sure if they all forgot what fleet chat was, had no TS, or what. but it was hilarious none the less. |

I reassigned ownership of 3 Billion ISK in assets from my last corp due to severe lack of activity. I was loyal, dedicated, active and excited... then after being virtually the only corp member on for 3 weeks I assumed ownership of the items and made use of them.
You may see this as a corp theft/heist but it was an asset reassignment.
