Xelios Minmatar Rampage Eternal	Posted - 2006.09.13 23:52:00 - [7] My very first game was probably Super Mario Bros on NES, my first PC game came with my Packard Bell running Windows 3.1 and featured some really annoying guy who always called me "Enforcer". The game was MegaRace. I'd say what got me hooked though was X-Wing vs Tie Fighter, and later on Command and Conquer the original. Mechwarrior 2 was the first game I played after getting a new computer (after the old Packard Bell) and I was completely stunned at the graphics in the opening sequence and the overall feel of the game (which I attribute mainly to the awesome music). The new BFG.

Then it was Ragnarok Online. RTS, RPG and MMO. Cant go wrong with those :D > want a sig like mine? :D

Space Invaders wasn't long after that and things progressed rapidly from there. We had a 2600 too but I suppose the first "home computer" games I played will have been some of the old ZX81 games, the names of which I can't remember now

What really kicked it off, however, was Mechwarrior 2; I've been an avid gamer since I started playing that back in the day. Now, however, I can't indulge like I used to. What 16k RAM pack? I wrote games in 1k. My greatest success (all the kids at school loved it) was an Asteroids variant. You controlled a capital V, and you had to dodge left and right to avoid the capital O's as they scrolled up the screen. And it only used half the screen, otherwise the memory would overload and crash the game I did get the RAM extension eventually. What luxury, having a whopping 16k of RAM .. how could any computer ever need more? ________________________________________________ "I tried strip mining, but I lost, and it's cold flying around in space naked."
