You call them free thinkers, yet you fail to realize they just march to the beat of a different drum.
The Guristas were created by those who couldn't take responsibility for their actions. They seem to have no problem in sending untold masses to their death these days though.
Interesting that the Guristas supposedly formed a 'second' corporation. Sounds more like, if anything, some members of the Guristas (or perhaps, 'friends' of the Guristas) formed their own group and named it after one of the Guristas founders.
You seem to hate order Cosmo, yet without thopse you hate, you'd be nothing but a man roaming a planet. It must be hard to live everyday, knowing you owe untold thanks to those you hate.

I don't see that free-thinking and marching to the beat of a 'different drum' are in contradiction, whether the drum be mine or yours.
Unlike you, I don't find it necessary for someone to agree with me in every particular in order to find merit in their views and such thoughts as they may express.
Quote:

I do not shrink from the truth that I owe thanks to those that came before me. Most especially, I owe thanks to those that were willing to innovate and work to create opportunities for the human species to develop and exploit a wider universe than we otherwise would have had access to. Why would you assume that I hate those people? My regard for those that have made real the universe of possibilities in which we live now, at this time and into the future is very high indeed.
I think you are confusing my disgregard for those that urge stasis and wish to hide behind the tatty old curtain of 'order' with this alleged 'hate' for people who certainly did not allow such as you to stand in their way.
Jericho Fraction is opposed to the imposition of 'order' and unnecessary concentrations of arbitrary power in the service of bankrupt notions of state, empire and the elevation of the herd above the individual. We oppose them here and now the better to weaken them and achieve their final consignment to the pages of history in the future. Only a fool would conclude, through some bizarre reverse process of logic, that it therefore follows that we oppose their existence in the past. To say that certain ideas are unnecessary and indeed harmful now, in this present moment, is not to say they were never necessary or never good and useful.
That I have had to explain this basic principle of historical progress to you speaks badly, I may say, of Caldari State education though I dare say such dangerous notions as a critical appreciation of history are not too high on the curriculum in the Motherland.

I would wish you luck, but I know you do not need it.

You call us murderers, but share many traits with your Amarrian slaver allies. Wage slavery is a crime worse than murder. Torture, even. You have your little workerbees of the State toiling and toiling away for next to nothing, while you sit comfortably in your pod and preach your self-righteousness.
You kill for profit and so do we, just because you think that your slaughter is lawful doesn't mean it is more creditable then ours. You may think yourselves to be on the 'good' side of the line, but you lack the courage to tell the truth. The brotherhood does not lie in its peoples' faces.
We are honest, we are dignified, we are warriors, we are businessmen and we are proud. Just because the State declares it illegal doesn't mean isn't honorable. The only reason our practices are illegal is because the State can't siphon any credits from them.

Another insurgence... Another awakening of sleepers... The return of another legend... The realization of another of our worst nightmares... Yet another reason why I need to stick my head in a fusion reactor...
I guess I am just another poor unfortunate who finds the idea of a skull with fuzzy ears as our State's emblem a wee bit hilarious and disturbing at the same time.
Oh well...

Because a lone interceptor engaging a battleship in front of sentry guns would certainly be the smartest thing our pilot could have done. We'll try to reprimand him for refusing to give you his equipment.

His brain had just completed it's re-growth and the new implants had been plugged in place. Still, he wouldn't have his full body until a couple days later, so Sepherim decided to spend his time walking about in the IGS.
And sad news he found. More pirates filled the deep space sections. Sure, they weren't Amarrian-centered pirates, and many would say that any weakening of the State was of benefit to the Empire. And, indeed, it was. Still, Sepherim believed that, in this time of trial, if Amarr was to prevail it should do it by its own means, not because others are weakened by bloody pirates.
Sad news for all, then. The darkest of times seemed to approach. --------------------- One Empire, One Emperor, One Faith, One Amarr... A Whole Universe Under One rule. Keter of the Ordo Quaesitoris. |
