Edited by: Par''Gellen on 05/10/2006 11:52:41 I need to find a Level 4 Security or Internal Security agent in high sec that never gives missions against Angels. Does such a creature exist or is it the stuff of myth and legend? ---

I think you can get Angel Extravaganza everywhere, but if you run missions outside of Minmatar Space you should hardly get missions involving Angels. -------------------------------------- Agent & Mission-Info: http://www.eveinfo.com Evewide Market-Info: http://eve-central.com/ |

I used to run missions in Gallente space and often got Angel missions, I'd say more often than Serpentis which was pretty weird.

I have a Gallente agent in the Metropolis region who always gives me Angels/hasn't given me a single Serpentis mission since a few months ago.
He's not high sec, though. My advice--check regions with Minmatar sovereignty.

Well I use an agent called "Saonellieu Baerse" (Oh my dog, I hate those agent names ) in Dodixie, he is a Gallente Navy agent, but very rarely gives me any Angel missions. Not sure tho, they say that it¦s all random, so I may get 10 angel missions in a row now.... I hope not. ________________________________________________ "Don¦t worry yourself, everything is everything" |

Thanks for the info. I work for a Gallente agent now that gives Angel and Sansha missions left and right but has never given me a Serpentis mission that I can remember. This is the reason I figured there was an agent out there somewhere that rarely if ever gives Angels. Oh and I used to work for an Amarr agent that almost never gave me Sansha missions (which I have been told is odd). I guess the NPC types depend on something. I wish someone knew what it was ---

I use the same agent as Gwynn, and at least 2/3rds of my missions are against Angels. Last time I got a Serpentis mission was two weeks ago I think.

NPC type depends on the location of the agent(regional NPC type) as well as the faction of the agent. However you can't avoid Angel missions in high sec. You can get Angel Extravaganza and Pirate Invasion(Angels) from any high sec agent.

One or two every now and then wouldn't be so bad so that's good news. I just get sick of seeing them all the time from my current agent. ---

I could swear I explained this to you specifically last week.
Go to Ammar or Caldari space. Get an Amar or Caldari agents. Almost none of the missions will be against Angels.
You are allowed to refuse 1 mission ever 4 hours with no penalty. That means the rare Angle mission that pops up there can just be rejected.
Wherever you went - here you are.

Edited by: Tachy on 06/10/2006 04:59:48 Sngel Cartel lives adjacent to Amarr, Caldari, Gallante and Minmatar ... at least according to the agents.
According to the background, you shoud get missions against Angels only in Minmatar and Gallente space. But that's as fubar as everything related to the Thukker Tribes. Their ships used to use Minmatar and Gallente technology (Projectile&hybrids, AB&mwd bonus on different ships. Somehow they even adopted energy turrets. Hybrids have been removed in the Mk2 project though.)
Flying missions for the Thukker tribe wont give you any missions against Angels. You will lose standing with all 4 empire factions though. --*=*=*--
The cause for this is not yet known, but we do have a possible fix in testing. by Sharkbait | 2006.09.20 |

Because the first half of it I already knew was not correct so why would I waste my time on the second? ---

I am running missions out of Dodixie in a Domi and see more Serpentis missions then anything else there. His missions list I have seen so far has been 1 Sansha(2 parter), 2 Angel, 1 The Seven, 2 Drone and about 4-5 Serpentis missions.
Out of the Angel missions only Angel Extravaganza gives me trouble. The Seven mission "The Right Hand Of Zazzmatazz" might as well be an Angel mission since they fly the same ships.

Because the sum of the first and the second half is Zero, the Zero you are searching for. I am also running missions in Amarr space and get Angel missions like hell. But my agent is a Minmatar agent. You see the problem?

To quote Ghoest:

There is a logical AND between the statements, not an OR. So it's not enough to be in Amarr space, you need also an agent of a faction not hostile to the Angel Cartel. Amarr and Caldari are neutral with Angel, Minmatar and Gallente have negative standing to them.
But despite their neutrality you can't be absolutely sure that Amarr and Caldari won't give you Angel missions. (Ask CCP why neutral factions are sometimes in combat, I don't know, but I have a Caldari agent in a Caldari region and I get sometimes Angel missions but much rarer than with Minmatar or Gallente agents.)
If you want to be sure to get never an Angel mission you probably have to work for their friends (Serpentis, Thukker Tribe, The Syndicate) or, of course, Angel Cartel itself. But these are all in 0.0 space. Because you asked for an agent in high sec in my opinion the final answer to your question if "such a creature exists" is: No.

OMG, I am wrong, sorry. Here are the "Level 4 Security or Internal Security agent in high sec that never gives missions against Angels":
1) Uanslironel Egding, Faction: Thukker Tribe, Corp: Trust Partners, Location: Teonusude (0.6), Division: Security, Level 4, Quality -16
2) Edrei Hemolifer, Faction: Thukker Tribe, Corp: Thukker Mix, Location: Freatlidur (0.8), Division: Internal Security, Level 4, Quality -13
3) Vudobrauan Hralm, Faction: Thukker Tribe, Corp: Thukker Mix, Location: Altrinur (0.8), Division: Internal Security, Level 4, Quality 0
They are Thukker Tribe agents in high sec; if the theory is correct they shouldn't send you in a battle against their friends.

Thukkars are basically "Angels light". They dont offer pirate implants but they do offer research agents. They also allow you to build up a great Angel faction.
The problem is they are disliked by every high sec faction in the game. So you put your self in a hole by gaining faction with them. On the other hand if you run Angel missions the Amar and Caldari have no problem with you.
Unless you are sure of where you want to be long term with your character, I wouldnt run Thukkar.
AS I and other said before running Caldari or Amar agents in Caldari or Amar space is a better long term plan for most people. Just refuse the occassional mission against Angels.
Wherever you went - here you are.

work for amgels and you shall have your request.
Curse region.
Note many people will say dont work for pirate factions. BUT! empire npcs drop tags which are then sold to pirate factions for iskies.
so you WILL get some form of income.
