Created a petition last night, however no reponse prior to logging out. Mining lasers currently run a full "active" cycle even if you deactivate by clicking on them. Activate state holds true even when leaving the belt through warp.
I was using the deep modulated mining laser II on a Hulk if more information is required. |

Hello everyone !.
I noticed a relatively minor, but somewhat annoying issue with the Science and Industry panel. Since updating to the new 1.4 patch, the list of industry jobs in the " jobs " panel won't display those entries whose install date matches the current date with the " show more options " choice active. I.e : with " show fewer options " active all jobs are listed with " show more options " active, jobs started today won't be displayed unless I go and clear the " to date " field ( which is automatically filled in with the current date ). This wasn't previously the case.
Bye.

The mouseover on those positions works, though - I get the single systems shown there, however I need to take guesses as I can't see them. Please re-add them. New Contract interface problem:
If you have contracts assigned to you there'll be a nice link on the contract landing page. Clicking this link will take you to the contract search page but won't change your filters so, depending on how it's setup you might see no results. To see your assigned contracts you may need to change the contract type selection to ALL. The current search interface is just overkill for this function.
Ideally, if you have contracts assigned to you you should just see a series of direct links to the contracts on the landing page, although I can imagine some players might find this problematic if they're handliing lots of contracts (e.g. the CCP agent collectg PLEX donations). |

Science & Industry - To-Date Glitch
If you open the Science & Industry Tab, there is - by default - the current date entered in the "to date" text-box.
The Idea is "good" (just see, whats already finished) BUT: If something has finished TODAY - it won't be shown, too. (i guess, the "Date" 2011.04.07 is assumed as 2011.04.07 00:00 which wouldn't make sence...)
Suggestion: Remove the default value, so we can see every job without removing the date manually. (after login in today i thought: "damn, i forgot to start all my inventions and productions yesterday)
Maybe the date fields should be replaced by a trigger "Show All / Show running / Show finished". (Of Course the Setting should be saved individually)

Not just Chrome. Forcing to a new tab in Firefox does the same thing. Probably some onclick intercept not properly set up, which also means superfluous code to get a Web browser to do what it would have done anyway. |

Just a note for those of you who get a failed patch as of TODAY, and it requests you run the repair or download the full install...if you say no and start the client again it will patch normally in a lot of cases. Had that happen on 2 machines and I just said no to running the repair and ignored the "get full install" dealie on the patcher window, restarted the client and allowed it to try and patch again. |

Tried it at multiple machines, and it all takes significantly more time to load. Maybe someone can look into optimizing the client startup process? Thank you, we are looking into this. There has also been a steady client-side performance degradation ever since the refactoring and with every patch since regardless of content. EVE now with the latest patch runs as poorly as it did on a 10 year old computer before the refactoring, including framerate and how much time it spends unresponsive reading from HDD (probably the pagefile.)
Also, previously whenever the client would lock up because of reading from the pagefile recovery was instant once reading caught up. With Incursion, recovery was slower, but still only a matter of seconds. Now, every second spent locked while reading the pagefile is another second in recovery, meaning lockups now are not only more frequent and longer, but the client remains unresponsive twice as long.
Also as has been mentioned I've noticed the S&I completion dates being really annoying. Another is with the new contracts, when you have a contract assigned to you and click the new contracts link on the contract home, it will never show the contracts UNLESS you clear out every filter from your previous searches, and My Contracts/outstanding does not seem to show unaccepted contracts. The obvious fix would be to clear the filters, EXCEPT most people use the same filters time every time they search, and it would be a pain in the ass to have to change your filters every single time you want to search contracts. The better fix is to fix outstanding contracts and have the link send you there instead. |

There are issues with training queues. Since 1.4, a total of about 40 hours have been added to my active training time across 4 toons. Evemon and iClone (for iPhone) report what shoudl have been "correct" training times and total character SP. Actual training times in game are now longer, and toons have less SP. Evemon and iClone have been udpated (new API data downloaded) and there's still a discrepancy. After the 10 hour down time for 1.4, my skill in training with this toon (Heavy Drone 5) had 12 hours ADDED as to when the server went down for upgrade. So basically, I have 10 lost hours of training, and 12 added back on top of that. One of my other toons is training Info Warfare 5, and had about 6 hours added to the total that I had PRIOR to down time, so total of about 16 hours added to that toon's queue. There's a report of that from other people on the thread on the "old" forum, but no one has responded to it.
As mentioned, the wrapping in chat is screwy again.
The character creator is bugged beyond belief. I have a pretty high end system with good video. The previous version was smooth and fast. Sculpted changes were instantaneous. Now the whole character creator is slower than old people f**king. You make a little tweak, wait 5 seconds, and then find out the change you made how has given you a nose 5 cm wide. It's practically impossible to sculpt a character effectively now. I do hope you give us another free sculpting opportunity to fix the mess this patch has created.
Overall game performance has gone down dramatically, whatever you did. I used to be able to run 4 clients, full screen, max resolution with all details maxed and easily maintain 60 fps in each client. Now 2 clients are choppy unless I reduce detail level. Load times for everything, from the client, to maps, etc has degraded seriously. Running 4 clients without turning down details drastically turns everything into a 5fps slide show. Seems that all my corp mates are experiencing the same performance issues as I am.
I'm now unable to remotely install invention jobs since 1.4.1. I tried to install invention jobs to my pos from station today, and it tells me the materials (datacores) needed are not present. I confirmed they were present by sending my alt to the POS. I ensured I was using the correct lab, correct hangar division, etc, but no luck. I had to manually fly my BPs to the POS to install them.
Also encountered a bug with collecting PI. Went to the planet, and got my goods from the customs office. I confirmed they were in my cargo hold. Flew to the jump bridge with my cargo hold open, and I could see my items. Hit the jump bridge. Upon landing on the other side, the items disappeared from my cargo. I went back through, and it turns out the goods were still in the customs office. I went and did the same procedure with one of my alts that has PI installations on the same planet, and experienced the same issue.
Contracts are buggy. I bought an item on one in a remote station. Contracted it to my hauler toon who was close by. Contract took about 10 minutes to appear to my hauler alt, even though I had the notification of a new contract. Once I could open it, the contract was "empty" with no item. Searching the contractor assets, I saw the item in question was no longer visible in my assets. I flew the item owner to the station. Assets window was still open, no item. Upon docking, the item was once again magically in my hangar, and appeared in my assets. Had another similar contracting issue a few minutes ago. Contracted 1000 robotics to my alt remotely, and had the same issue. Received nothing but a blank contract, and 1000 Robotics had been removed from my personal assets. Had to fly the item owner to the remote station where the items were located and they magically reappeared.
I encoutered various other bugs as well but I know you're aware of them all, as they were all present on SiSi and had multiple bug reports filed there. And the rest have already been listed either in this thread or on the old forum. Why you deployed this patch chock full of KNOWN bugs is beyond me. If I rolled out software like this at my job, I would have been fired long ago. CCP devs need to lay off the weed during work hours. I love this game despite the issues, but man, you guys dropped the ball on this one in an epic manner. This is by far the most horribly bugged "upgrade" (downgrade or regression would be a better term) that I can remember since 2003. I'm very disappointed in CCP for letting this coiled steamer out the door in its current state.
Of course, there's the 0.0 anomaly nerf that according to Greyscale wouldn't happen on deployment, but next week. That's alive and well despite what he said. I won't comment on that, since it's already been amply covered (and subsequently ignored by CCP) in many other thread.s |

Well this Suxx big time.
I posted in the same thread on the old Forum that after the last patch eve won't load up. I then got a response from CCP Bella Bee to submit a bug report and attach a logfile using the logserver app. So I open up the logserver app to make a logfile, but since Eve won't load up in the first place there's no logfile to made. The only logfile i could get is the one from the repair tool.
I then replied to the respnonse but never got an answer to that and now somehow i can't even post there anymore.
Ok so now I've waited 3h to downloaded and install the hole client again and now i get a Server: Tranquility, Status: Unkown Message.
This is so Frustrating I've had this problem a couple of months ago, managed to get it working again although i don't have a clue how. But searching for this exact problem, it's amazing how many threads I've found with similar problems but nowhere a sloution to be found.
Anyway, now what? |

Open up the settings menu causes a graphics settings refresh every time it is closed again, regardless of whether changes have been made.
Trivial issue, perhaps.
I usually start the game in windowed mode just in case the game fails to load, or the graphics fail to display and the screen just stays black, or something else goes wrong. Then I toggle to full screen when I am sure I am not going to crash stepping through the phases of login. (We can ignore the annoyance issue of finding it necessary to do this in the first place for now.)
Now, if I open the settings menu, closing it kicks me back to original windowed mode, instead of the current full screen mode. Before it just brought me back to where ever I was before I hit escape. |

EDIT: Solved. ATI Catalyst Morphological filtering enabled screws up the Eve Fonts. This must be disabled to play Eve.
Is it just me or are the in game fonts over-antialiased so as to make them very hard to read at any of the settings (condensed, normal, wide).
Running at 2560x1600 on a 30" Screen with 2x ATI 6970 cards in crossfire. Let me know if there is a simple fix that I am missing, otherwise I can post some screen shots and DXDiag information etc...

If it's an intended feature, it's going to be a major detractor for anyone running anomalies solo. I don't know what Guristas missions are like in Empire, but I know the ECM is alive and well in northern 0.0 with a fury I've never seen before. Tengu + Dissolution Sequencer + ECCM stays permajammed for the first wave of a station Sanctum. I don't run anoms often (maybe once or twice a week at most) when I need a bit of extra liquid isk. When I do, I use a dual Tengu / Gila team to do it, assigning drones to the Tengu. Turns out that unless I send the Gila in first to take the ECM aggro, the Tengu with it's ridiculously high sensor strength is permajammed until those cruisers are eliminated. There's no way there could be such a permanent jam happening without a bug. The statistical mathematics of the jam formula, even taking the random number into accout, say it's impossible unless it's bugged.
So in the end, this doesn't affect me much at all as I have a workaround, but I do hope it gets addressed, as it's a real pain in the ass for people in general.

My only experience with it yesterday was in a L4 mission against Guristas. In the 4th pocket, i hit a spawn with 4 Dire Gurista Despoilers and 4 Pithi Exterminators. I was 95% perma-jammed. I had company along, so it wasn't as horrible as it could have been, but, i agree, the formula listed on the EVElopedia page suggests the chance of them successfully jamming me for that long in a battleship is highly unlikely. |

Yeah. I can't remember offhand what my sensor strength is, but it's in the 40s, which is ridiculously hard to jam. A well skilled Falcon pilot with 3 racial ECMs modules only stands a 62% chance of jamming me at all with this fit, and it's been tested. What is up with the suspisciously erratic loadtime of the client?
Sometimes it just sits there with the spash screen for 5-10 seconds. It is a network thing? The CPU, disk and network is otherwise unoccupied. Tried opening and closing the client 12 times, none of them felt like they were taking the same time.
And O M G, the cpu use of the browser (firefox) while typing in this box. Jumps up and down with 15%-20% spikes, then settles down then you take break from typing. For comparison, massive spammy junktyping in wordpad can only bring it to 3%. Weird script **** must be going on. Massive spammy junktyping here: brings a core up to 35% load.
And typing in other places on the net (blogs), does not present near the load that is going on here.

The "stack all" bug remains. It stacks things in whatever order it feels like - sometimes using the first stack from top, sometimes the last from bottom. This behaviour makes sorting a hangar by stacking certain modules etc. almost impossible. You inevitably end up with a giant mess you have to sort again manually. |

What's funny is, that right at about 80% of part 3/3 of the installation i get some error message i can't exactly remember now, something about that is was corrupted or so, and the installer shut down. I already started to freak again after waiting another 3h. But so I tried to load it up anywa and miraculously it worked!

Jesus. I just profiled this page in Firebug. It looks, to me, like the delays are caused in part by Firefox spending 25% of its time running a jQuery function called href, and also by the extreme number of AJAX postbacks that are going on. It looks like the typing window sends all that Viewstate back every 15 seconds with an average of 250ms roundtrip.
I assume this is because it's trying to autosave a copy of these precious words. And waste both CCP's and my bandwidth.
CCP - Please use a Javascript profiler like FIrebug for Firefox to show how much extra traffic/work is being produced! JQuery is great, AJAX is great, but you've gone a bit mental on them here!
And make my ship hover again, damn it.

That would explain why every fifteen seconds the browser resets any nested scrolling windows (there are some, for instance on this very edit page) back to the top, stealing the scroller away from you and making content below the fold damn hard to read. |

I just resubscribed last night. I was able to log in and mess around for a while just fine. After updating to 1.4.1 I can't stay logged in for more than a couple of minutes.

PC User.
I used the re-customization service in a station and everything was fine. Then I noticed someone in a chat channel had a new avatar but only if I clicked on them to view their info pane. In the member list of the chat channel and when the spoke in the chat channel, their old portrait was displayed.
I decided to clear my cache (Clear all cache files), and when I got back to the login screen, my own portrait was reverted. It stayed reverted when I got back in-game.
I have not used my free re-sculpt, nor do I want to (yet). I hope you don't make me :p
EDIT: My portrait here on the forum was the old one, but after posting or editing this, it updated. In-game it's still the old one.
EDIT 2: The Switch Character page here ( https://gate.eveonline.c...LogOn/CharacterSelection ) shows the old portrait, but the new one is updated at the top right of the screen itself (the small one where the Profile Settings link is). That is, it's showing me 2 different portraits for this character on the same page! As for in-game, I just re-logged and it's still showing the old one there.
EDIT 3: Logging out of Eve Gate and back in updated it in the Switch Character page. I'm much more interested in the in-game being accurate, however. An additional cache clearing in-game didn't help.
EDIT 4: A few hours later, I relogged and the new one is back. However, other people see my old one in chat windows (but not if they manually pull up my profile). |

The portrait of other character in their "show info" window, has a higher quality than my portrait in my character sheet.
I'm not an expert graphics engineer, but I suspect the reason to this problem aswell as my previous issue on post 59 is that ones own portrait is not being anti-aliased (which I have checked in my graphics options) |

Anyone else having issues finding exploration sites in highsec? I am seeing a notable lack of mag and radar sites but plenty of WHs and some grav sites. Of course I could just be having a couple bad days scanning, but I asked around and a few other folks in the exploration chat have reported similar findings.
Can anyone confirm that they've seen fresh mag/rad sites spawn since the patch? |

From what I've heard from other explorers this issue is not restricted to Hisec. I believe lowsec, nullsec and WHs are affected as well but perhaps someone can verify with firsthand info. It seems sigs for certain and perhaps anoms are just not respawning so there is basically nothing left except WHs and gravs. |

Re: Installer / Updater...
First patch 1.4 used the manual patch download, no issues at all, worked first time.
Second patch 1.4.1 was with client autopatcher. This gave the usual "corrupted" message, and then ran the repair tool. Thankfully repair tool worked okay, this time.
Running XP64, plenty disk space, so why is the download ALWAYS faulty using the autopatcher

The text editor page for posting to the forums apparently refreshes every 15 seconds (so ... ummm .... your precious words don't get lost or something), so if something goes wrong with the connection somewhere in there, bye-bye long diatribe. |
