Hello all. So far I did mainly exploration and I scanned down and hacked a lot of data and relic sites low-sec and WH space. However, the sites that I hacked in WH's were faction sites, that were not guarded by NPC's. There are also sites that are guarded by sleepers, like Unsecured Perimeter or Forgotten Perimeter and maybe more. Together with some friends I want to go to such a site, try to kill the sleepers and then hack the containers. I found on the EveUni wiki information about the sleepers and their fighting abilities, and while we're still rather reserved about our chances, we still want to try it and see what lessons are there to learn and riches to discovered. If we overwhelm the sleepers and succesfully hack the containers, what kind of loot can we expect? In some WH's I find faction sites that drop about 25-30mil in various loot and sometimes a blueprint or two. Is the difference in risk reflected in the loot that can be found in guarded sites?
Thank you all. |

The main loot of sleeper relic and data sites is in looting and salvaging the wrecks of the sleepers themselves. All of the cans are usually worthless, unless you find a rare Talocan wreck on the site. |

Thank you all. Since some of the recent changes, Nullsec class data/relic sites will spawn in C1-C3 class wormholes. Those are named by one of the pirate factions (Blood/Sansha/Guristas/Serpentis/Angel), and of course there are the regular Sleeper sites (Forgotten/Unsecured). The pirate faction sites are not guarded by Sleepers, and can worth a lot of money (Managed to get 50mil out one site, lost a 20mil container). But despite their worth, I would still skip the data sites, since they are not worth a lot. If you can, bring a cargoscanner and scan all the data containers for Decryptors, skillbooks (not Encryption methods), datacores and Blueprints. Though, there seems to be a 3rd kind of sleeper sites, starting with Abandoned, however I've ever only found it once. It was not guarded (no wrecks either) and yielded full sleeper loot (was before Odyssey) - However I haven't been able to get this confirmed that it's actually a thing, despite me finding it, WH Class unknown.
Good luck, and happy wormhole hunting o/ Fly safe!
EDIT: Small wormhole tip: Having a wormhole mapper can be really useful, and I would personally suggest Tripwire/ |

Godfrey Silvarna, thank you. It is a bit disappointing, I was hoping guarded sites to be even richer then the unguarded sites. Well then, we will have to have a salvager with us.
Discomanco, I knew about the nullsec sites that spawn in WH c1-c3, I was asking about the loot from the sleepers sites in WH c1-c3. |

C1 sleeper loot is pretty poor also. Might as well just farm C2 in battlcruisers for decent (ish) isk.
Talocan cruisers can spawn in c3 relic/data sites and they have the valuable small hull sections for the new t3 destoyers. |

Be prepared for the sleepers is all I have to say. A few new players I know talked me into scanning sleeper sites in a C1 for them. It was fun for them until they hit the first sleepers and most of them warped out of the hole in their pods. As Yoda might have said unprepared were they for that which they found. Can be profitable, can be run easily even for newer players that go into it prepared. Look up fits and ask questions of those who do it more than occasionally and you will be good. |

Do you think that we can kill them in well fitted frigates? If we all show up we will be 6, but let's say 4 or 5 well fitted frigates. Is it doable? The numbers i see here http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=ForgottenPerimeterCoronationPlatform don't look very scary, and the other sites in a C1 WH are very similar.
Can you please help me understand this line? "Max Incoming DPS: 224 (EM/The 28%, Kin/Exp 22%)" |

Maximum incoming dps - self explanatory
em/therm 28% means 28% of the damage is em/therm, you can figure out the other bit.
The C1 sites will definitely be doable in frigates, just make sure two of you are flying logi frigates |

Then again that may make it more exciting to run.
Overall you need to watch your triggers extremely carefully, if you get the triggers wrong and get full agro from all 3 waves this pocket can top 500 dps and that could easily overwhelm the entire group of you. And remember that unlike low level missions the sleepers will change targets and they can do so fairly often and if you are using drones the sleepers will taget them so watch that carefully.
Other alternatives would be to use destroyers or cruisers but all of those wouldhave their own problems as well. But overall the higher DPS and tank abilities may make them a decent option to consider. |
