Same problem as before really. People who got in a coffin are stuck in them, short of blowing them up for 2% of their investment.
The only thing that makes this dirty pool is the inability to mothball supers. |

Reading those butthurt comments in that EN article was amazing. It was literally people complaining that ships they never use have a different role they don't understand yet and that local is not the most flawlessly working intel tool anymore. RIP null :D

Supercaps discussion - CCP: Its a problem for herp derps that cant afford one.
Basicly no small, insignificant, alliance can get enough of them to be relevant. What can we do ...

Supercap pilot - 40+ Bil on average.
Mothership 20 Bil + 10+ bil fits
Titan - 100 Bil + 10+ bil fits

i was training for a super to use in low-sec to fight of invading pirate corps but i guess now il just do what everyone does and stick with a dread and a carrier more cost effective and more useful in so many ways |

Gotta agree with this. I can see the reasons behind the design decision, but a capital ship not dealing damage is super silly imo. (pun intended).
Just make them more about damage + perhaps the on grid bonus to subcaps than about surviving.
Make it so they can be remote repped, but remote repping etc. shouldn't repair faster than direct active damage.
Make 50 battleships be able to take down one capital with remote rep support. |

Subcaps being able to kill supers is the direct opposite what the average null-person wants apparently. After buying a super+toon for 30bil, you're kind of entitled to a godmode.

One does not spend 16-85 billion on a booster ship. Thats what command ships are for, thats what their roles are.
Super cap's are meant for fighting super caps and assaulting pos towers. Thats what their role is.
More importantly why would anyone fly a cap after that?

same reason they are changing nullsec to a king of the hill minigame, they want the old players gone to make room for all the WoW kiddies now that so many have complained aboutt heir latest expansion and left

honestly, im putting EVE on ice until I see some kind of coherent, meaningful, and constructive content from CCP, because all phase 2 is seems to be change for the sake of change and nerfing anything that alot of people use
hell, they nerfed mothers/titans because "waaah, too many people had them", so what happens when everyone is rolling again in balls of battleships using sheer numbers to make up for tracking issues on anything smaller than themselves?
oh wait they cant because nothing but interceptors and recons will be able to participate in SOV minigames, but those are cruisers/frigs, so its totally okay if thats all anyone fields
and of course lets shard out null into 4 servers anyways, since timezone mechanics means obviously CCP doesnt want euros playing with americans, or americans playing with aussies, or anyone playing with russians. |

And you just think you can simply remove it. Why not be smart about it for once, and make certain nullsec systems immune to capitals being built or brought in so the little guys actually can take sov, while the bigger guys roll around in supercapital orgys |
