This ship is insane. And whats even more insane:
Hellfire Rage Assault Missile Exp Radius: 200m Cap Recharge Bonus: -27.5% Flight time: 4 Missile Velocity: 1500 Exp Veloctiy: 250 Thermal Damage: 225
Sure thats some short range and a harsh cap penalty, but used on a pssive tank with THAT kind of damage these things are so omgwtfbbwpwnoverpowdered that I can't believe it will stay like that? (Hence not making a new thread for them) 100+ dps per weapon on a BC? That seems slightly over the top...

The damage is wrong. It is supposed to be 125.
I read it somewhere.

i really cant wait for this ship to come onto tranq. its possibly one the best creations from ccp and its a viable ship to go into PvP with cos its cheap enuff to lose sinc eu dont need as many outstanding faction gear to make it work so well. a standard T2 fitting gives u plenty of firepower and shield stats that u can give out great punishment as well as taking it.
its a good job the ships are gettign 50% to hitpoints cos with these new BC's they are gonan need it. i'm now more excited abotu the battlecruisers than the battleships as they are lot more accesible to optimize to a great fitting.
i hope that the stats stay as they are fo rthem cos they are turnign out to be some of the best ships in space at present and when i get back onto sisi gnna be tryign out sum more fits for the other ships. plus its great having access to implants as well so i can see what my dream fit would be liek and if it's worthwhile investign in the cybernetics 5 ect to get the crystal/slave/talismans for it.

This thing is just nuts. 1100m/s on mwd spamming missiles, running 3x damps and a warp jammer no problem. Add a sensor booster for quicker locking and a armor tank. Just...

Lol good point....and true the drake looks like a peach to be sure.
But we(as caldari) have fallen in love with our trusty old Ferox..(as gimp as it is). its just one of those ships that dont suck to bad..ya know and its has seen us all thru countless level 3 missions. It kinda symbolises Caldari: Decent tank, fat'n'slow, DPS's like a wet paper towel.....
It could easily stand to lose 1 launcher slot and gain a turret 1 so it might have a chance to use its "questionable" range advantage. =)

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but isn't there a slight difference between 15.5km with max skills for hvy assaults and 30km BASE for torps (which becomes 60km with max skills)??.. Let's do the math.. Gee, that's only about a 400% difference.. Great comparison ace! Maybe you can try comparing BCs to T1 BSs next.. Oh wait, we've already tried that one...
A heavy assault drake will only be effective at ridiculously close range.. That is a fact.. If you cannot see that, I feel very sorry for you.. Any ship that can stay 20km+ from the ship only has to deal with the 5 light drones, so it's not the be all and end all that everyone seems to think it is.. Even with a 20% agility boost a BC is still a brick, and the Caldari are the brickest of bricks.. They will have a very difficult time closing on anything but a battleship, and hence will have some difficulty bringing their weapons to bear.. That is the drawback with the ship.. If you want to run around like a chicken with your head cut off (which frankly wouldn't make a difference because you don't seem to be using it anyway) then that's your choice.. But you really should "stfu and learn when to speak" before trying to post anything on the forums.. Cheers m8..

The Drake is the missile boat that we Caldari always wanted the Ferox to be. The Ferox need to lose 1 missile hard point and gain 1 turret hard point. Then people might start using the Ferox the way it should have been used from the start. Gang assist ship using warfare mods.
The Drake is going to be the option I wanted to work for when I started playing. I wanted to be a BC pilot, but the Ferox just wasn't worth it, so I did what every Caldari Missile love did, get a Raven. Now I can go back and use the BC again.
I can't wait to fit the Drake... I have so many ideas. Anti frigate (7 Assult Launchers), Anti Cruiser (7 Heavy Assult launchers) Anti Battlecruiser (7 Heavy Missile launchers). Anti Concord (7 Smart bombs) ------------------------------------- Proud member of G Guild! |

It's even funnier with the cerberus. 860 kinetic dps at 30 km.
I made a thread about it yesterday & tux replied that he mixed up some stats, so these UBER missles hopefully won't get live.
