Per that picture and name to the left, I am Agent Shield. I have been playing since Day 3 and for the most part have just been with my partner (Parthon) cruising Eve in search of personal wealth. Notice that our corp name is Crew of Two.
We joined AF Holdings about 2 months ago as the leader (Ferocious) seemed like a nice guy and we were looking to move to a group game and we wanted the comraderie of a group. Everything was fine until the Techell Thief thread came about.
I don't actually condone the thievery of someone's work, so when I learned that one of AF Holdings members (SS Vegito) was the 'instigator' to push Falzone to steal from his corp; it just didn't sit well with me.
I have done many dealings with Techell and they have always been more than fair with us in our trades and ship building needs. To see someone steal from them is one thing, but to see a fellow corp member involved, this was too much.
Now SS Vegito may have been the thief's accomplice, but our CEO (Ferocious) has allowed this now thief to remain amongst us. It is as if the CEO has condoned what has happened. This puts the message out that it is okay for you to steal from someone. I can't deal with this kind of behaviour. This crime committed has now made me uncomfortable in going near Techell for current/future dealings as I don't know if they will want to take reprisal against me for something another member had done.
So last night I talked to my partner and we decided to take all of our personal belongs from Fountain and move them back to our old digs in Empire space. We have decided to leave AF Holdings and their attitude, and go back to the Crew of Two where we were just friendly guys wheeling and dealing across the galaxy.
Once that move was completed, we also discussed sticking it to our CEO who has allowed a criminal to stay amongst us, and decided to steal their stuff. AF Holdings is now out 500 Million Isk, hangars wiped clean, all blueprints in my possession, and left AF Holdings literally empty in Fountain. Now there is still another base with some minor BPs and some low grade minerals, but I had accomplished my goal of taking them down a notch for embracing corp thieves by doing it to them.
My partner (Parthon) and I have considered this move a retaliation for what a fellow corp member did to Techell. We like Techell, we think what was done to them is wrong, and we will not stay in a corp who condones this activity. And to top of it off, we gave AF Holdings and it's CEO a taste of what it feels like to lose a bunch of stuff to a thief.
Yes, some will call us thiefs now, but we hope that you still accept us in the community and continue to do business with Crew of Two. If you do not, then that is fine. We are not pirates, merely two guys cruising through Eve, but we will understand if there are some of you who don't condone it no matter if it was retaliation and/or revenge for another.
We feel good for what we did, we are not sorry we did it, and we did it because we think it was the right thing to do.
To Datsevlu, we took a blow to a corp who was harboring a fugitive who helped steal from you; and we hope our blow to his corp might be enough to where you will still continue to do business with 2 guys who have always had good relations with you. Please Eve-mail me in game if we are free to conduct business with you again.
To those in AF Holdings, during your next meeting, you might want to discuss security and who you let have access to hangars and wallet. You were fine with me until thievery became an acceptable practice in the CEO's eyes. Know your leader, know your fellow members, and know what your morals are and how you will proceed into the future.

So you decided to steal from your corp because your CEO condoled corporate theft?

I agree. By leaving the corp you made a statement against corp thieves and stood by your principles. By stealing their stuff you brought yourself down to the same level and therefore lose any respect that was due for standing by your principles in the first place
Why is it that when someone tells you that there are over a billion stars in the universe, you believe them, but if they tell you there is wet paint somewhere, you have to touch it to make sure? |

Otherwise your effectively the same as the original thief.

Regardless of how u justify it, u have still brought a corp to its knee's through thievery.
Put it this way, you say that your ceo was sopportive of the Techell thief, but its not proven, its your opinion. What is fact that you have stolen. And be honest now, you expect ppl to accept what u did?
Also, why would Techell want to deal with a pair of corp thieves? Im sure they've had enough of them for a long tme.

Let me get this straight... You think corp thieves are so stupid, that you left a corporation because your CEO let a semi-thief stay in the corp. Then, you rob the corp clean of billions of ISK and think you did the right thing?
I hope I'm not right.

Just once, I'd like to see a corporate thief cave in to guilt and give the stuff back.
But then, I'm an optimist. ------------------------------------------- "My main griveance with the Caldari state was that once I had finished my work for them, they wanted me dead."

Shield, you still have no honor. If you would have just walked away then you could have made a better personal stance on the issue.. if everyone retaliates by stealing when trusted, then no one will trust anyone, and the game suffers.
Since you 'stuck it' to the stealing CEO, he's going to 'stick it' to some other Techell patsy once he finds them, or will 'stick it' to some other corp, because someone 'stuck it' to him.
In short, you are telling everyone to never trust you or your partner ever again.

I can perhaps agree with this if you took the stuff to give a shock to them and then gave it back.
But if you have taken it and kept it then you are nothing but low down gutter licking scum. ----------------------- Cold Fusion Inc. Website |

And aside from bashing me for condemning a bunch of slack-jawed numpty pirate wannabes who were too scared to fight in the FA/VA war but brave enough to "forum-warrior" side with Ragnar in the aftermath Indigo ... did you have another point?
But seriously the mind boggles; with this current wave of corp-crushing megathefts and the raise of psychotic spacial anonmaly-causing pirate alliances in the northern regions .... eve is undergoing a massive upheaval.
I think the status quo is taking a kicking

looks to me like he just wanted an excuse, so he could at least TRY to appear as the good guy. lol as if..
So just cause 1 member encouraged falzone (i think?) to steal from techell, you screw over loads of people that had nothing to do with it, is that right?
At least drop the hypocrisy and just admit you did it for the cash in the first place. Im guessing you are not an alt either, so good luck ever joining another corp...

Find me a functioning capitalish economy with no protection of private property rights. The acceptance of theft and fraud in EVE (not counting piracy, which is sorted IMHO) is ridiculous.
CCP is still out to lunch, will be until items are labelled with the owner's name (person or corp) and are considered "black market items" unless they are traded or sold by the original owner person or corp.

Theft is theft. No mater what. What about the players who invested hours of there time contributing to the corp. There now back to scratch.
Theres no justification for theft. None..

Agent Shield and Parthon, You must be 15 year old little brats to think that anyone is gonna take your bullsh*t seriously. There have 30 posts here calling you scum-sucking thieves and not 1 in support of you. At least be men and take responsiblity for a well executed theivery and dont make a pathetic excuse that will just offend people's intelligence. BTW, you can assume that you have been added to many a KOS lists. Good luck with your new operations......

You need to give the BP's you took to Techell. Otherwise your no better then the original thief. What would be better is for the CEO to admit his mistake and pressure the original thief to give it back to Techell then you give that stuff back. READ EVE GUARDIAN
