I cant stand it anymore. Looting Lvl4s is a pain. and yet, sometimes i have to do it. You dont want to go mining for minerals, now, do you?
Enough is enough! stand up with me, and shout, no SCREAM with me:
We want em bigger tractor beams! we want autoloot options for dem beams! and we wouldnt mind retriever drones, that loot them cans for us!

yeah, something like that.
did i mention, that it seems, those things are already in the DB, but not seeded, yet.
so i think, im not asking for anything 1) that draws too much manpower from important tasks 2) creates an imbalance in combat well... maybe it makes hit-and-run more profitable under certain circumstances.

The main argument against tractor beams in the first place was the knowledge that people like you would soon be posting this drivel!

Would be nice if you could just stick on in the 8th slot of a raven and loot as you go, without the need to fly back in a dedicated looter. Though it all changes with salvage anyway.

<sarcasm/>Actually, tractor beams were an idea of a genious at CCP. It was never thought of before by any player or dev.</sarcasm>
Seriously though, medium and large beams would be sweet. Though with the introduction of salvaging in Kali, I wonder what will happen to mission loot.

no reason i can see not having bigger or just doubling the range of the current one we have. Tractor beams cant be used on anything other than your corps cans or npc cans you killed.

instead of cans, the mission loot is in wrecks. Game mechanics are exatcly the smae. you kill npc, use tractor beam on the wreck, pull normal loot out. The only thing that is changing is the Graphic's and the fact that you can get other goodies with the right skills/mods.

They have to buff titans. Its really unfair that these expensive ships are crap for PVE. Make them viable for missions and ratting ..

An Iteron MkV has 85 base grid + Engineering lvl 5 = 106.25 total grid. And 5 Lo Slots.
My Badger MkII has 80 grid + Eng 5 = 100 grid. And 3 Lo Slots.

Blockade Runners, the T2 industrials.
Those are the only ones with enough PG to fit an MWD + something else.
That being said, a Sigil with 5 nanofibers and a T2 AB can reach speeds around 1.000 m/s, fit 2 Tractor Beams and a silly 2-slots shield tank (booster+invuln), turn as quickly as a frigate and warp like greased lightning ...

How about the loot just appears in your hangar.
Bigger beams? Sure. Autoloot? Uh, no. Loot gather drones? Not going to work too well since cans will be replaced by wrecks, and a tiny drone isnt going to drag a BS-sized wreck.

Perhaps after Kali they will just have a new skill set of ships that are dedicated looters that get a tractor beam range bonus.
Something with 4 hard points, a static 50% increased tractor beam range, and 10% per lvl of (whatever the new class of ship is called), and 2% increase speed of tractoring per lvl. I'd love to see those cans fly in at 750.
It can be part of ORE vs. some faction ship. Large cargo and even a small drone bay.
Give'm something else to buy, build, and skill up.
...all I ask is they design 2 totally different ships for it and not recycling old ships.

Oh, yes, I knew the Iteron V could, just believe you can achieve a relatively high speed without the need of sacrificing so much for a MWD.
Tis the poor badger that won't make it hehe...
Oh and even with such a speed, agility on industrials is like... well... unexistant... Even a Badger MkII with 3 nanos takes eons to accelerate or turn. Well not exactly eons but you get the point :-)

and about the indie with 10mn mwd... id get a sigil with a mapc and some rcus.
but still... 2 beams is too little, so the exe is my looter of choice.
but right, yea, since kali will introduce salvaging, and most probable/hopefully a "scrapmetal collector" mini-profession (why the hell does it have to be "mini"?) i would love dedicated lootships.

trouble with itty V (which i use on vengence and infiltrated outposts cos of amount of loot 1400m3 ish) is that they can only lock 2 targets at a time and it takes a while to lock them. i also use an exq with (now) T2 expanders which has just tipped it over enuff so i can get all infil outpost (vengence has metal shards and stuff which i horde)
i would liek to see specific salvage/loot ships come in soon, i'm thinking a new model ship, Tech 1 but with a good amount of skilsl needed to fly liek the covetor. obviously Survey 5 would be in there and science or maybe even graviton pysics (as thats what traccys originally neeed)
5/6 hislots for traccys and salvage modules 3 mids for burner, repper and whatever 4 lowslots expanders, what else.
have it sumat liek 10% to cargo hold and 5% increase of chance of salvaging. base cargo of 1000m3 but seed the medium and large traccy beams too, that way it can fit mediums on it and get to work.

The Capital Holding Beam is meant to accomidate Titans with it's range, but can also be finely placed on a Titan.
To calculate the costs for the Capital Titan, I did Raven as my base.
Raven 9500 PG base Phoenix 450000 PG base, ratio is 47.37... Raven CPU is 700 base Phoenix CPU is 825 base, ratio is 1.179...
So I multiplied the large by 47.37 in PG and 1.179 in CPU and then by two, because the Dreads have roughly half the high slots of Battleships, then by two again for PG to remain fitable on the lower Capitals while actually feeling like it costs something on the Titan.
What do you think?

However, you can loot most of the good stuff in lvl 4s in one go (and quick) with an Exequror, fitted with 4 tractor beams and 3 cargo expanders. An MWD or AB plus some cap rechargers also help.
Note: The exequror has a 10% bonus to Cargo Capacity per level of the cruiser |

WTF - this is the sign of a real mission*****grinder. GET YOUR FAT A$$ RAVEN ON THE MOVE! or use a faster more agile ship! Use nanos! use MWD or AFTERBURNER!
What you really want is a "give me isk button" that you can click every 10 minutes for 10 million isk.
Soon you will be whining because you have to undock the station every now and then. Play the freakin game the way it was intended to. Just warpin in and stayin still at one spot spamming missiles left and right and then go back to dock and repeat all over and over and over again is NOT what this was supposed to be!
