Verus Potestas Caldari Perkone	Posted - 2006.11.23 18:58:00 - [1] The raven is currently a pretty good battleship, but when the Kali hits, it will lose a lot of it's danger potential, in the form of the Javelin torpedo nerf. I have thought of a solution to this grievous balance problem. The raven has long been unable to tackle respectably, while running a reasonable tank. It also has two less hardpoints than high slots, and nothing to fit in these than nos. Be aware, this idea is completely moronic. I just want to know how many people actually read the post, and don't just reply having read the topic, and maybe the first sentence. If you read it, don't reply. We'll get a list of muppets as the list of replies. Anyway, I think that one of these spare "utility" slots should be turned into a midslot, allowing the raven pilot to tackle somewhat, as well as running his tank. With the ECM changes, this shouldn't make the raven a cool ECM platform like the scorp, and it will make up for the nerfage of the Javelins. What do you think? Not sure which is most pathetic: The fact that the OP has been quoted and commented on and still we have people taking this seriously. The impression given that several of those people taking this seriously appear to be in favor of the idea listed in the title. The strong suspicion I have that despite quoting the OP again, there will be more posts below this one that completely miss the intent. Yes I fly a Raven regularly, and yes it sucks in large fleets. In small gangs or solo though, it can just sit there taking absoluteley insane amounts of damage for a long time, while dealing insane amounts of damage (not as much as some pure short range ships sure, but with over 70k range on T1 torps, nothing can compare over medium range, and that's before you factor in the whole missiles never miss thing). It also achieves this without any tanking bonus at all! Ofc, kill0rbunny will never get around to reading this post, so I probably just wasted 5 minutes of the battery life in my keyboard Akkarin <3 - Immy

If you still want to, you have enough med slots to do it. If they give it 7 slots, you all will still fill every med slot up with tanking and then cry for a 8th med slot so that raven can "finally" tackle. 6 is enough. But losing one of its low slots could be fatal. 1 less BCU or 1 less PDS or no more room for a DCU or a even more hurting slot for a Co-Pro. A seventh launcher, why not :D But no slot shifting fnr med/lows. -- This game is still in beta stage

Not even a carrier can do such damage against a BS. 8 tachyons can melt a duramaller with T2 tank (Yes, i tried, against both against 10m+ corpies) in less than 20 seconds. A raven needed over 3 minutes and NOS to do so, where it finally fell due to cap problems. Amarr has the most powerfull long range sniper if they fit injectors. You fail to see this. It's awesome being amarr, ISN'T IT?

I'd hoped it would never reach two pages, but it seems that my hypothesis (far too many people don't read anything but the topic of a thread before replying) was apparently correct /me goes back, reads entire post, feels dumb. In my defence, my first two replies were to replies to your post...I never read your post thoroughly as I wasn't replying to it per se.
