Since installing Revelations immediatley after deployment last night I've been unable to even get to the login screen. I double-click the EVE shortcut and the launcher pops up with the rather funky new image, then it stays on screen for maybe a minute to ninety seconds, then closes again. I don't even see the Username and Password boxes. The process just stops. I've rebooted, repatched and even reinstalled and no joy. Any help please?

in my case it is enough to switch off audio (in cache/prefs.ini first line "audio=1" changed to "audio=0")
... just a temp solution...

I did that too. Still nothing. Bit of a pain that's for sure, thought it's reassuring to know it's not just me. I'm just glad I set long skills. I at least have another day to figure it out before they expire.
Any more suggestions anyone? I would kinda' like to play :)

It seems Blue.bluePyOS is my problem, although i have manually reapplied the blue.dll file from eve-o patch files several times and still get the error.

I too cannot get past the screen...I am about fed up with this, as I had just payed the money to change my account to a paid account from a trial based off of what I had experienced before the patch. Guess I should have waited.

Completely removing and reloading does nothing. Updating drivers for my NVidia 6600, same problem. Using the audio=0 fix didn't work.
However, I'm using a Audigy LS card and disabling the sound acceleration DID work. Give it a try...
You can do it in dxdiag > Sound or in the Sound control panel.

Hey guys,
I am also having the same problem on my main machine. The game runs great on my other two machines under the same router, so it is not a connection issue. My main has quite a different set up for hardware though.
Asus p4p800 motherboard intel p4 2.4 1 gig ram radeon 9550 SB audigy 2
Maybe everyone having this problem should list their hardware, we may be able to find a correlation.

Originally by: Pilgrippa Use the logfile.exe program to try and narrow down your specific problem. For example, my client craps out when trying to connect. From logfile I get (among other things):
8942006.11.30 01:40:00:188Connect (87.237.38.200, 26000) failed in connect thread, error=10060
That translates to Status: Unknown
That's because you're a huge noob and nobody likes you, whereas everyone likes me, thus my confusion over why i'm having difficulty.
