/signed, though I'd like to see BMs autoremoved as well.
Database won't stop ****ting itself until they are mostly gone, and I bet a lot of players won't delete them.

Edited by: Troy Knight on 29/11/2006 21:38:11 I enjoy it to a point.
It is unfortunately pushing pirates to the feilds where those of us who go after NPCs, subsequently where pirates can jump right on top of you and warp jam you before you can even have a chance to respond/warp away.
So, seems like a double edged sword---but I do like being able to move quickly between systems.

I think it's great. It even solves some irritations with instas:
* No searching for the right BM as caused by normal naming convention - you can just select the next system on the a/p list. * Insta dock without having to rush to click dock before your ship bounces off the station. * Insta dock for all stations from any direction 99% of the time. * On courier missions no more trying to match the station name given by the agent BM for the abbreviated one in my BM list.

It makes you harder to catch, not easier.
Besides, in belts, if you get caught by anything not covert, you deserve everything you get.

I'm actually going to admit that I haven't used the Ctr F11 thing, so I'l get to that when I get off duty, and yes it does make it easier to get away, but also at the same time, if you get warp jammed before you can warp at all (such a pirate jumping right on top of you like already happened to me once) then your screwed, unless you have better weapons--which I obviously did not have
I do like it, just makes things alot hairier.

Here a few bits of advice for surviving in low sec belts:
1) Ctrl-F11 is your friend. If have it on the longest scan range possible with the only warpable being your belt, it will show you anyone coming into your belt a fair while before they actaully arrive. Far long enough to escape most things, when combined with 2 and 3.
2) Inertial stabilisers make you align and accelerate faster, getting into warp quicker.
3) Aligning to a warpable/safespot gets you out fast. As soon as you hit warp, if you are moving at 2/3 speed towards the target, you will get out. This can let you vacate the belt before the pirate (me) even shows up. If you are mining or something so you can't move, just point in the right direction and then hit warp as soon as the pirate shows on scanner. You'll be slower, but should still make it out.

Ya, GF by the way, had I had my heavies ready would have been more interesting.
Would have been more gracious, but was a little miffed by the sudden and crushing death. And yout ook all my loot I just gathered

First thing I did when I logged in was using a insta to dock in amarr, then I realised my stupidity and deleted all my instas.

I still remember when some asshat demanded I "prove" that instas were causing lag a few months ago.
After an old dev blog was found, they said "that's not proof, the blog is 6 months old"
Instas. The SUVs of EVE. Wasteful and for the selfish.

I set the default to 0 km... when I tell it to dock it instadocks.
WTZ is awesome. Autopilot rocks - not activated, just clicking on the yellow gates and warping to 0.

So I guess I won't be passing by those Obelisks crawling to the gate anymore and thinking "Poor Bastard"
and Yeah - Ditto on the Autopilot / Yellow gate comment. 12 jumps just became "a ride to the corner store"

Sure I enjoy using it, but it was a bad move, maybe something like a warp to 5km or 7.5km, with warp to zero what is the point of having a industrial etc that is slow moving? there is no point.
