I missed the middle fight, but the first and third(?)
The Coalition beat FIX Nebula Rasa beat Someone (sorry, stream too crappy, couldn't find out.) Lotka Voltera beat Morsus Mihi
As a note, the LV v MM fight was incredible. Each side had a CNR and the MM hung on despite having it's shields ripped away. It just sat there, regenerating shields a tiny bit before the next volley of missiles came back in. Each successive volley took a little bit more armor or structure, but the ship went down nowhere near as fast as you thought it would after shields died.

Edited by: Helganstandt on 01/12/2006 18:26:58 Muffins of Mayhem lost the first match.
Exquisite Malevolance: 1 Typhoon 1 Nighthawk 1 Curse 1 flycatcher 1 Maulus
Muffins of MAyhem: 1 Dominix 1 Myrmidon 2 Vexors 1 Rifter
ECM burst was not fired to signify start of match, several of our players did not have the other targets locked, and then were insta damped. From there our drones didn't attack anything because of the hesitation wondering what was going on.
That being said, we're not sure what would have happened if the burst had been fired. We may have been able to aquire lock of our targets and sent drones on them. Even without half of our drones on these guys, we managed to kill the curse, and got the typhoon into half armor before the dominix popped, so it could have potentially been a very different match.
Equisite malevolance did not want to do a rematch, and we respect that. We're still waiting to see if we can get some comensation, as the confusion at the beginning hurt us a lot.
Edit: Did the curse get out of range? If that's the case, then we don't have any real reason to *****, I thought we popped it, heh.

We saw no warning/heal0 from LeMonde on the curse, we think Muffins killed it legitimately with drones, good kill. The EVEtv report on it going out of range is being denied by the pilot (perhaps inevitably, hah!), but overall its not clear.

Reread the rules: Logistics *DRONES* are not allowed. Modules are still okay.
Anyway next game:
DeStInY (0 ships left)
7. Absolution (Crash? Disqualification? Tank was okay.) 3. Drake 8. Ishkur (Disqualified. Ran away from the Megathron and left arena ... ) 6. Ishkur 5. Hawk (O.o!)
WINNER: Edge of Santiy (1 ship left)
-- Megathron 4. Muninn 1. Curse (people really hate these apparently) 2. Jaguar
DeStInY shot everything at once after the Curse went down. The Megathron apparently came in range once solo and started almost insta-popping AFs.
Then the Absolution left and Ishkur vs. Megathron is one hard game, esp. when the Mega has both Webifier and NOS.
Then both ships ran out of CAP. maybe the Ishkur also managed to run out of Webifier range. The Ishkur drones of course don't need CAP... WOW! First AMAZING game! Pew-pewing a Megathron to death.
Except, running away from the Megathron the Ishkur left the Arena when the Megathron was in 10% hull and got disqualified.
Good game folks .. triple turnover!

Hmm. I think they both had the blood pounding in their veins. Under these circumstances I'll say, that was an easy mistake to make, running too far, and well, it *could* have been tactics keeping chasing the Ishkur with that Megathron keeping sacrificing CAP for shooting instead of doing more armor repping.
Anyway, I think maybe that was the SECOND amazing game of the day. I glimpsed a nibble of a 4x Cruiser team (with a command ship?) tearing down a more regular team earlier, but couldn't keep viewing. Anyone got any information on what match that was, and who did this? Looked like NOSsing, Droning Cruisers (but wasn't Vexors). --

MoM vs Exquisite Maleovalence (SP)
Like Helga said. The rules state that an ECM burst will be fired at the start of the match and then you can start locking your targets, etc... So my team did not have the enemy team targeted ahead of time (since the ECM burst would have broken the lock).
The ECM Burst was not fired. We did not have the enemy targeted at go (see above reasons). Since they already had us targeted we were all insta damped for the most part.
I made a bad call and should have had my team launch drones during count down. Thus since a majority of us was damped - we could not manually target our drones on any specific target. I think the enemy team was rotating targets or damps. Because I would start to lock, then get damped again. Props to them. Anyhow due to the rotating the damps, it my drones got auto aggroed. Talking to my team most of our drones sat there for around 10 seconds+ at the top of the match until rotating damps aggroed them.
Due to the confussion of no ECM Burst on our team - everyone was pretty confussed and our plan / structure went to hell.
I was finally able to lock the Curse and got my drones on it (not sure what they were on before). I personally thought we killed it, as I watched its armor go down in chunks. I wasnt paying attention to range at that moment so it is possible it left the ring. But i was under the impression our drones got it.
The rest was history. I made a few cap management mistakes which lead to imo the premature death of my Domi and the Myrmiddon.
Good fight to Exquisite Malovalence. I requested a rematch due to the absolute screw up of the match officals not doing an ECM burst as we expected. Cant blame exquiste for not wanting to (Who would?).
We will be getting reimbursed for our ships - as that was match referee peoples honest mistake. I am glad they owned up to it. I wish we could have had the rematch. We may have lost anyway - but i honestly think we would have had a much better chance. The damps would have been up in the air - and at least our drones would have been focused on a target which would have led to much more ownage.
Good match - some lessons learned. Im still ****ed that the match referee's totally blew it which imo defiantely did not increase our chances against the team. -----

It's really more interesting than that. That Impoc may be primary for some, so it's sort of a bait ship. But yes, who else but Tyrrax would do that (after getting the Gold Magnate roasted 2 years ago or so)? Lots of props from an easily-impressed Thukker.
Next game:
Mercenary Coalition (0 ships left)
6. Machariel (Disqualified for outta range) 8. Eos 2. Huginn (Crash?) 1. Maulus 3. Maulus
WINNER: Terra Incognita (2 ships left)
5. Celestis 4. Curse (Bumped out of arena) 7. Navy Issue Caracal -- Navy Issue Caracal -- Navy Issue Caracal
Interesting game: MC tried a Smartbombing Bumpamachariel, but took two fast losses due to the Caracals. Huginn crashed. Mach bumped out the Curse, Celestis died to focus fire, then Mach got disqualified for running out of arena (hard to hit your targets when bumping) and 3 Caracals > 1 Eos even if it took a long while and one Caracal died. --

WINNER: Anarchy Empire (3 ships left)
-- Dominix -- Absolution 3. Curse -- Retribution
Euphoria Unleashed (0 ships left) 4. Raven 5. Claymore 5. Drake 1. Maulus 2. Merlin
Nice insta-popping the EU frigs. Then AE taking down the EU Raven took the longest while, meanwhile the ever favorite primary AE Curse got popped, a dozen seconds before the Raven. AE Dominix went into armor fast, but they're armor tanks and it held up. Meanwhile EU Drake went down fast, amazing it wasn't called primary before. Claymores have a bit of a tank and doesn't look like AE us using a lot of NOS. Still, those Dominix drones hurt. Then Dominix got in range and in fact it did have NOS. Dead Claymore. --

WINNER: Band of Brothers (4 ships left)
-- Eos -- Curse 3. Oneiros (Pretty! Why didn't CoW make it primary? Then it crashed / got disqualified. Didn't see it taking any damage) -- Celestis -- Hookbill <- Primary, but the Oneiros kept it alive.
Cult of War (0 ships left) 2. Scorpion (Took a long time to go through its armor, too, funny. They're shield tanked usually. Maybe remote armor repped.) 4. Nighthawk (that got killed faster than the other two) 1. Lachesis (held its armor tank pretty long, but BoB didn't let go) 5. Malediction (1 vs. 4 is tall odds esp. against a Curse)

The mutual frig killing was DAMN quick. Then the OE Dominix got disqualified for warping out, whatever, hmm, a LOT of disqualifications like that lately. Must be on a busy Node, that system. Anyway, after that it was really over quick. --

(I'll keep commenting on what I see, corrections welcome)
Sleipnir had a power failure, what went out of range was just the disconnected pilot. And although it doesn't matter, Curse had no drones that it had the skill to launch

Well remote sensor dampening is allowed for the first time, so it's a good tactic to fill up your last few slots with these.
Fimbulwinter (0 ships left, ahw man)
2. Maelstrom 6. Claymore (was primary twice, tanked everything) 4. Drake 5. Rifter
WINNER: Morsus Mihi (3 ships left)
-- CNR 3. Vulture 1. Curse (people really, really hate these: Primary again) -- Vigil -- Vigil
Interesting: Both teams picked big targets first. Fimbulwinter took out the always favorite Curse, but then Morsus found a hole in the Malestrom shield and popped it very likely with the help of two target painter vigils, after that the Drake put up a good fight and in fact lasted past the Vulture, but in the end that didn't help for long. Didn't look like much repping was going on, and not much NOSsing since the Curse never lived long enough for much of it. --

2. Brutix (Primary, racing to poppage with the Curse) 3. Brutix 4. Cyclone 5. Cyclone
Both teams using lots of remote support. Nice race to the graveyard Curse vs. Brutix, and the Curse arrives a mere 4 seconds earlier. The Brutices really take a beating in spite of their fabulous mutual remote repping. Of course only two Cyclones don't do too much support to each other, so the rest of the card house fell in quickly after that (although I've got a suspicion Sani kept the last Cyclone alive till the Claw was done looting). --

The Star Fraction started early into the fight and popped the Flycatcher before time. Seems there's still some problems on how to best fire off a fight. Anyway, Lemonde reimbursed the Flycatcher and the fight was redone. Flycatcher down again first, then Merlin, then the stream. Weird little match: Early frig kills are normal, but Axiom then got ALL leftover ships into armor one after the other, then focused on the Megathron till it was in 10% hull, then wiped up the other ships really, really slowly with just CNR and NIghthawk left. I can explain the first roundhouse by testing resists and some of the delays by switching ammo, but were they really trying to loot in a Raven and a Vulture? --

3. Astarte 2. Drake 4. Ishkur 5. Ishkur 1. Ishkur
WINNER: Prime Orbital Systems (0 ships left) -- Dominix -- Curse -- Ishtar -- Navy Vexor
The Prime Curse went into Armor at the first shot, went into 30% structure with loads of drones shooting it, but remote support from the Dominix saved it. I've also got a feeling like half the drones were shooting the other half.
Focus fire was kept on the Curse, but not breaking any tank. Primordial didn't focus fire at first, then took down a hard shield tank Drake and an Ishkur in the same instant. Turned around the match at this moment and killed the Astarte almost easily, probably with NOSsing from the Curse. The Vexor did go into shield, attempt to switch primary by Axiom but unsuccessful.
Nice match! --

Edited by: Smagd on 02/12/2006 19:51:01 NEWS: Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate dropped a standard medium can during the match, which is a rules infringement, so in spite of a point win Lemonde declares Terra Incognita WINNERs.
Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate (2 ships left, 19 points)
-- Imperial Issue Apocalypse -- Absolution 3. Curse 1. Maulus 2. Maulus
WINNER: Terra Incognita (3 ships left, 15 points)
4. Curse -- Navy Caracal -- Navy Caracal -- Navy Caracal 5. Celestis
The Impoc ran into the middle of Terra to get into NOS range. Both IAC Maulus went down fast. IAC wasn't focus firing yet, while its Curse down fast. Absolution took damage, but the Terra Curse went down fast now. First shots on the Impoc, but neither IAC ships are taking much damage considering they're probably armor tanks.
So Terra tried to go for a time-out while pointwise in the lead. With 8 minutes left, they scattered and tried to get out of range while still hurting the Absolution. The Impoc must remote repair the Absolution, which did in the end sacrifice some armor to chase down the Celestis and kill it outside IMPOC repper range.
After that, situation reversed: IAC can go for timeout while in the lead, and Terra must kill the Absolution, which went down to 20% armor while all three Navy Caracals held range at 100% shield, but with only 2 minutes left on the clock they didn't manage to do that.
Didn't want to edit, but dammit, bringing 5 cruisers, only one T2 to a match against the Impoc is nuts. Rockage, guys. --

4. Dominix (Dog with Meat) -- Eos 2. Ishtar 5. Ishkur
WINNER: The Sani Sabik (3 ships left)
-- Dominix -- Eos -- Ishtar 3. Eris 1. Maulus
Both Ishtars are primary, but the first ship to go down is the Maulus. In return the CCK Ishtar goes down first. While CCK is still trying to get the Sabik Ishtar into structure their Dominix is now primary. Unable to break the Ishtar now, fire shifts to the Eris which could have been killing drones like a maniac. Lots of NOS and drones still flying around, and the Eris goes down to 5% hull and armor repping up to 20% again, but then gets alphad. CCK Dominix down. Their Eos and Ishkur are trying to kill the Sani Doninix now, but they couldn't break the Ishtar tank either and there's still an Eos left.
The Sani Sabik then ransomed the CCK Eos for 100M, who paid up and kept their Eos.

The first match has people biting their fingernails already:
WINNER Firmus Ixion (20% hull left on one ship)
-- Dominix 7. Absolution 5. Zealot 2. Thrasher 3. Thrasher
Insurgency (0 ships left)
6. Machariel 9. Nighthawk 8. Ishtar 4. Republic Fleet Firetail 1. Vigil
Too bad two interesting small ship support teams get wasted just as quickly as in any other fight. Support can't really help with an alpha-strike like what hit the Vigil in the very first salvo. FIX tries to kill the Ishtar, but runs into problems breaking its armor tank and goes for the Mach instead slowly chewing through its armor tank what with it probably using a high transversal. Meanwhile their own Ishtar dies. Absolution next primary down to 50% AR by the time the Mach hits structure, but the Mach dies a minute before the Absolution. Dominix manages to rather quickly kill the Ishtar considering it's solo now while going down itself very slowly, but the Nighthawk is out of CAP, so nothing left to suck and a Nighthawk's passive shield tank keeps it alive while killing the Dominix. The Dominix is trying to survive by going out of range and maybe win by time while its drones slowly grief their way through the Nighthawk shield. No Damage Control on either, and the Nighthawk dies at Domininx 20% hull.
Good fight! --

WINNER The Corporation Alliance (5 ships left)
-- Abbadon -- Absolution -- Curse (camera lost lock on it a couple times) -- Maulus -- Maulus
Interestingly, the two big Corp ships seemed to be able to lock on two Celestis before getting dampened. One gets insta-ganked, maybe after getting in range the second just the same while keeping alive their own primary Maulus maybe by better dampening or by support. After this, The Corp can afford to primary the Raven next. While chewing on that both the remaining Celestis and Flycatcher go down: It's a flawless victory. --

Lotka Voltera (0 ships left) 4. Abbadon (lag warpout + DISQ) 6. Damnation 5. Deimos 1. Maulus 2. Maulus
Abbadon vs. Maelstrom. The Huginn helps the LV Mauluses going down first while the Fimbulwinter Mauluses orbit their own large ships for remote shield support. Deimos is next primary, but has nice remote armor support. Apparently the Abbadon is a NOS setup and the Maelstrom an AC setup so they're going to meet in the middle. The Huginn keeps the NOS Abbadon webbed and at range, but how to lay down the damage on that Deimos? LV is now trying to break the Sleipnir. Tragic Abbadon lag-out + /heal 0 by LeMonde. Now the Maelstrom + Sleipnir are going in for AC carnage and rip through the Deimos, and lay down some impressive carnage. Pity about the Abbadon, and the Damnation is, well, damned itself after that. --

Vexor and Maulus are primary. Guardian cap transfers the Abbadon while being primaried through its shield, but its armor is holding. Everything kept alive by remote support so far. Teams probing for mutual holes. Stain slaughtering Vexor drones. The original primary Vexor is being primaried once more. Abbadon now in NOS range, and puts a NOS on everything. Apparently it got bumped up to speed by its Eos. The Vexors are being shot down now one after the other while their Guardian keeps alive their Mauluses as best as it can. Third Vexor getting NOSsed and fired on as hard as Stain can. Their own Guardian is primary again, but it's able to pull back easily. With all the NOS and support modules Stain has just their Eos for firepower, so it takes them a while to kill the Vexors and Damnation, but one after the other they go down with no CAP left. --

6. Navy Megathron 5. Eos 3. Muninn 2. Maulus 1. Maulus
WINNER Serenus Letum (4 ships left)
4. Raven -- Nighthawk -- Curse -- Vigil -- Maulus
Sani charging in for short range. Muninn artilleries the Maulus and Curse, but is primary itself. But first blood goes to Serenus, maybe taking advance of the charge killing two Maulus quickly, and also chewing through the Muninns armor inspite of it being supported. Meanwhile, Sani has shifted fire on the Raven and gets it into armor. Muninn is holoding on, but Serenus has shifted to the Eos taking it into armor while still killing the Muninn. But the Raven is the first Serenus facality, and the two Sani core ships are still there. Eos has its armor repaired, and seems to be saving cap for more blaster fire. Eos going down again and they seem to be trying to kill the Nighthawk. Navy Megathron against the four smaller Serenus ships. Another ransom attempt by Serenus for 200m for the Navy Megathron, but Sani's CPT ELMY counters this with words that would get censored here. When the Mega is down to 30% hull the ransom offer is repeated, and accepted, but drones and missiles finish the Megathron before being called back. --

WINNER The Five (3 ships left)
-- Navy Megathron -- Eos -- Deimos 3. Thrasher
Veritas Immortalis (0 ships left)
5. Rokh 6. Nighthawk 4. Cerberus 1. Merlin 2. Merlin
First showing of both The Five and a Rokh, which looks like is set up as a NOS ship, but so's the Navy Megathron. The Deimos is being primaried. The Merlins are going down while Veritas is changing over to the Thrasher, unable to dent the Deimos tank. After the Trasher and Mauluses die, it's three Caldari shield tankers vs. three Gallente armor tankers with NOS going back and forth. Let's see who breaks first. Cerberus now in 50% shield with the Deimos still in 90% armor. Veritas now trying to shift fire on the Navy Megathron, which goes through its shield predictably quickly. Cerberus is down, now let's see how well the shield tank on the Rokh works. Eos now stripped of its shield, Veritas trying to see if that's breakable, and The Five are trying to see the same about the Rokh which is holding nicely as long as enough Cap is still around. Rokh dips to 20% shield, and the Eos was below 80% armor briefly, but Cap is still holding. What happens now is that The Five is all in optimal and dishing out more damage than the Rokh can repair. Rokh is going down, so its Cap ran out first. Watch the Tier 3 explosion! Nice footage of a black Megathron looming over a webbed, nossed, missiles-spamming, explosions-receiving black Nighthawk, but it's going down before the match times out. --

There was an insane amount of dampeners fielded, we got only sporadic locks throughout the fight despite joint efforts to get our ships a lock one at a time to be able to unleash our mostly idle drones. Good cycling there by the SE team.
We took a huge gamble here, the chief strategist wanted to see if his smashing success from the first match could hold once the element of surprise was gone and it was deemed SE would think us stupid for fielding the same exact fitting, as predicted they were right and we had nothing on the mass dampening and nosferatu going on.
Us holding on for what was it 10 minutes? Without doing much damage at all and being nossed across the board I can't really say I'm dissappointed about the outcome, given we took a huge gamble. We had a solid strategy just more of a tank than a dampener fleet.
I feel very confident with my men today, we were as calm as can be and did the best of the mismatch.

Next match:
Ascendant Frontier (4 ships left)
-- Hyperion -- Eos -- Zealot -- Navy Comet 1. Navy Hookbill
WINNER Exquisite Malevolance (5 ships left, 28 points to 26)
-- Raven -- Absolution -- Huginn -- Cormorant -- Navy Hookbill
Hyperion gets webbed immediately. Both Hookbills primary, but the ASCN one goes down in spite of some support. More fire incoming to their Comet and Zealot, while the Malevolent Hookbill is still around 50% shield. Comet now in 50% armor, and the hookbill is still very slowly inching towards armor, but the Comet is saved by support. There's some drone killing going on. Raven shooting Cruise Missiles from a distance. Huginn orbitting its Raven, and the damage is slow now. 10 more minutes for the fight to end. Malevolence is keeping Ascendant out of NOS range, so there will not be any Cap dying. Zealot is using its NOS on its Hyperion to keep its Cap alive. Malevolence tries to kill the Eos next, stripping it of shields and 30% armor before Ascendant changes their support, but Ascendant doesn't seem to do enough damage at this range. 5 minutes left. Cormorant is taking damage next, but it's being supported and saved from 50% armor once. Can Ascendant alpha it? Apparently not. And Malevolence changes to the Zealot again in hopes of catching it with its Cap down, but it's not going down. Well, that didn't work on either side. So it's a time-out, and a victory by 2 points --

RAZOR Alliance (0 ships left)
5. Dominix 4. Sleipnir 1. Curse (Disqualified, out of range) 2. Sabre 3. Daredevil
WINNER Star Fraction (5 ships left) -- Eos -- Curse -- Navy Vexor -- Ishkur -- Ishkur
Sabre primary, but the RAZOR Curse leaves the Arena and dies before it. The Star Fraction takes heavy fire on its Curse, but is armor tanking nicely with some support. Next RAZOR primary is the Daredevil. The Dominix is a Nano setup going at wild speeds. Sleipnir is losing its shield now, 50%, while the Star Fraction Curse still has its full armor in spite of all the drones around it - half of those must be shooting up the other half, since it's only 10 drones on the remaining ships. Apparently the Sleipnir was Nano setup, too: Its hull went in one blast. Dominix got into NOS range and that's going to kill it in spite of running away from the drones and missiles, outtracking the guns. It's trying to kill the Navy Vexor now, 80% armor, but that's not going to happen before it blows. Since the Dominix didn't go through its hull quite as quickly, it's reasonable to assume it's got Inertia Stabs, which got recently boosted, since Nanofiber internal structures have a hull penalty. --

WINNER Axiom Empire (5 ships left all with 100% tank)
-- Caldari Navy Raven -- Vulture -- Cerberus -- Merlin -- Merlin
DeStInY (0 ships left)
5. Dominix 3. Absolution 4. Drake 1. Rifter 2. Maulus (CTD)
The DeStInY dominix is primary, while they're probing the Maulus and Cerberus shield tanks. Small damage till the second Merlin is called primary. Meanwhile the Rifter is taking damage while the Dominix keeps its armor tank together. Rifter and Maulus killed at the same time, the Maulus by Crash. Vulture is shield repping the smaller ships. Merlin is shooting the Dominix drones down. Axiom changes fire to the Absolution, which goes into armor quickly. Meanwhile both Cerberus and Vulture are taking minor shield damage, but the Absolution is down. Drake is primary now. It's got a nice shield tank, but Axiom has nice damage. And it's using a smartbomb to kill Axiom drones, probably over a massive passive shield tank - Drakes are a favorite primary.
Nice flawless victory for the all-shield tanking all Caldari team!

3. Dominix -- Nighthawk 4. Drake 2. Caldari Navy Hookbill 1. Caldari Navy Hookbill
WINNER Prime Orbital System (3 ships left)
-- Caldari Navy Raven -- Vulture -- Drake 3. Vigil
A Hookbill and both Drakes are taking primary fire, while the Vigil is doing a mad high orbit target painting strafing to the primary Hookbills. Enemies primaries the Vigil while its other Hookbill is coming under fire and dies a little before the Vigil. That clears the frigs. The Drakes are receiving some remote shield transfer, so they're not easy to break. Prime Orbital takes the Dominix through its shields slowly, with probably more remote support going on. They're not taking a lot of damage themselves. The Raven does hurt the Dominix badly with 4x Emp Cruise Missiles and 2 Explosives. More smartbombs on the Dominix, but its hull is burning now. Dominix now armor reps, seems it wasn't in control for a while. 30% hull but over 50% armor and repping. They're still not doing enough damage on the Prime Orbital Drake. Dominix finally explodes, and its Drake wing mate is next primary. Takes a while to take down in spite of apparently running a passive shield tank. Prime Orbital are using a NOS on their own passive tank Drake to transfer shield back to it. Interesting tactic. Enemies Drake is finally down, and the Nighthawk is their last ship. 3 more minutes for the match, so it may survive. The Nighthawk is now looting wrecks in hopes of surviving, and maybe a cap booster charge or two for longer survival. --

-- Imperial Issue Apocalypse -- Absolution 3. Curse 1. Maulus 2. Maulus
Mercenary Coalition (0 ships left)
7. Caldari Navy Raven 5. Eos 4. Curse 6. Maulus 8. Maulus
MC is stripping both Mauluses and the Curse at the same time, while its own Curse is taking some damage. Both Mauluses go down first. Impoc is taking some shield damage, but both Curses live for the time and IAC is shooting the Eos. A lot of damage going down on IAC, and their Curse dies, shortly followed by their own Curse. The IAC Absolution is now getting stripped of shields, but for a Damage team like the MC it takes them a long time to go through the shields of two armor tankers. Eos is now in armor, but so is the Impoc. They're both at 70% armor, but the Eos is going down quickly with all the Impoc NOSes on it while the Impoc still repairs. That's the Mercenary Coalition going down. IAC ignores the Mauluses and their Raven is taking huge damage, but it's MWDing out of range now. The Raven seems to be armor tank. They really like their surprises, but it does have nice resists against lasers. Both IAC ships are now back in full armor, and the two MC Mauluses are slowing going down. --

WINNER The Red Skull (5 ships left)

Xelas Alliance (2 ships left)
-- Abbadon -- Absolution 2. Vexor 1. Hawk
Maulus and Hawk are primaries. Red Skull is splashing damage over the Vexor and the Absolution now, probing for leaks while its Guardian keeps its Maulus alive. The Hawk disappears in one blast. In spite of support the Vexor follows shortly after, and the Absolution comes down next, but it's not yet in armor when Red Sull switches to the Xelas Abbadon and takes it into armor. Again lots of Nos going back and forth, including drones. Xelas is now trying to Nos the Guardian dry, and while their armor tanks are holding up they've got the two Mauluses and Guardians both in high armor. Nothing much happening - it's web of Nos and transfer. 7 more minutes for the match. The Xelas Abbadon is very very slowly losing armor. 3 minutes left. 80% hull left and match is over. --

3. Dominix 4. Curse 1. Guardian 2. Exequror
WINNER Band of Brothers (5 ships left)
-- Eos -- Curse -- Oneiros -- Celestis -- Hookbill
The Exequror has interesting bonuses, hmm. But BoB concentrates fire on the Guardian first, taking it into 60% armor. The Exequror takes some shield damage. Guardian goes down hard and is gone. Anarchy meanwhile has taken the BoB Eos into armor, but the Exequror goes next. Massive damage from BoB, now targetting the Dominix. The Eos isn't losing any armor fast, but the Dominix still has enough Cap to tank armor okay. It's taking NOSsing from the BoB Curse now, and armor drops. Last shots fired at the Celestis, but their last Curse is going to go down fast and the BoB team never loses much armor. --

-- Dominix -- Absolution -- Ishtar -- Flycatcher -- Maulus
Exuro Mortis (0 ships left)
3. Dominix 5. Eos 4. Oneiros 1. Maulus 2. Maulus
Vexor taking primary damage, and one of each Mauluses. At the same time Euphoria strip both the Eos and the Oneiros of their shields. The Flycatcher seems to be killing drones, but is in armor damage itself now. 7 out of 10 ships with no shield, but for a minute or two no armor really drops. Must be mutual attemps to outfox support. All ships piled up in the middle. Exuro is losing a Maulus .. first blood after 3 or 4 minutes. Must still be a lot of drone warfare. Let's see who runs out of drones first. The Exuro Dominix and Maulus both are losing armor . Their Maulus goes first, but apparently the Oneiros isn't helping the Dominix. Eos is remote armor repping the Dominix using its NOS to steal Cap, but the Exuro Dominix is in fact dead. Oneiros down shortly after, and now it's five ships concentrating fire on the Eos.

Coalition of Carebear Killers (0 ships left)
3. Dominix 1. Myrmidon 2. Ishtar 4. Ishkur
AAA Ishtar is primary, its shield down fast. The Carebear Killers take damage on their Myrmidon in turn. Both going through their armor at about the same rate, sitting in another web of drones and NOS, but the Ishtar pulls back probably backed by support. Carebear Killers switch to the Mauluses while their pretty Myrmidon is burning down. AAA Dominix now also taking fire, went into armor. The Carebear Ishtar is secondary target for AAA, once again going down faster than their own Dominix, and there it blows. Carebear Dominix now going down and there's no more significant damage on AAA. Pretty lights when the camera goes through a NOS beam. Dominix is down and the Ishkur now has to solo 5 AAA ships, well, it isn't doing that in spite of pretty awesome tank and flying in spite of about 8 NOS on it - suspected Halo implant set to reduce its signature. AAA may also be looting or something.

Last game of the first weekend:
Otherworld Empire Productions (4 ships left, 17 points))
1. Rokh -- Nighthawk -- Cerberus -- Rifter -- Rifter
WINNER The Sani Sabik (3 ships left, 24 points)
-- Dominix -- Eos -- Ishtar 2. Eris 1. Maulus
Maulus primary and going down fast, with not much damage going on at Otherworld. Some damage already switched to the Ishtar. Some damage is now incoming on a Rifter and the Rokh, but they're holding nicely while the Ishtar is still not losing armor. There's still a lot of Cap around, so let's see whose NOS fu is strongest. The Rifter is tanking nice, lots of damage but taking ages to kill it. Meanwhile the Otherworld Rokh is falling below 50$ shield, probably conserving Cap because it's coming up nicely always. The Sani Sabik Eris is taking damage now. 5 minutes and the Rifter is still alive with 80% hull. Otherworld seems to be busy killing drones. Eris is now going into hull. And gone. Rokj down to 15% shield, but seems to be holding. Rokh now 40% armor and going down ... That's critical to keep alive with 4 minutes left. Lucky cap recharges and shield boosts take him to 25% shield, and lucky shots by Sani take it to 20% hull. And it's down, with 1 minute to go.

Primaries: Myrmidon and Maulus. Myrmidon goes through its shield in one fell blast. Going down.. Ah that's a gank setup at The Corp.. The Wolf disappears really quickly. Maulus not going down, fire shifts to Curse, and Absolution: More dampening making focus fire hard. Dominix going down hard now, without damage control its hull just melts. Leaves an Ishtar against 5. Maulus is in 50% armor, while the Curse never really got its armor dented muchly. And the Ishtar goes down quickly. What a hard gank.

Kith of Venal (0 ships left)
7. Navy Megathron 6. Damnation 4. Huginn 3. Hookbill 5. Hookbill
Lots of Hookbills here. Primaries Huginn and Hookbill, and a Hookbill at R0NIN explodes first. The Kith Hookbill is strugglign in 10% AR, while its Huginn mate is at 50% AR at the same time. On the other side, another Hookbill explodes in 2 salvos. Huginn enteres hull, but staying alive. Curse is now primary and going through shield fast, small wonder. Kith Hookbill goes first, while Huginn is in 10% hull and GONE finally. That took a while. Nice support. Damnation is the new primary while the second Kith Hookbill explodes rather quickly. May be the drones. The Curse doesn't go below 90% AR, while the Damnation is now in 50% AR. The Curse is killing its Cap, but the Damnation tries to NOS its Megathron for more Cap, and its armor is now falling a little more slowly. Abbadon and Absolution are edging into optimal, this is not looking good. Damnation goes through hull in 6 seconds and explodes. Curse is still 80% AR, that's it then. The Megathron comes under fire and will die fast with all that damage and the Curse. Both damage dealers of R0NIN have switched to congflagration green high damage laser crystals for short range pwnage. --

2. Rapier 4. Harpy 5. Harpy 1. Maulus 3. Maulus
WINNER Nebula Rasa (4 ships left)
-- Eos -- Zealot -- Vexor -- Vexor
Improvement: LeMonde has a Lachesis sitting with 10 Domination Warp scramblers and is preventing people from accidentally warping off, 60kms range easily on that.
A premature fire incident again, but no ship loss this time, although getting the drones back takes a while. Primaries: Maulus going down into 10% AR really quickly, and drones are killing it. Rapier is webbing most of the Nebula Rasa team, but is next primary, while one of the Vexors goes into Armor. Rapier just half armor and going down fast. Down. The other Maulus is down next, while the Vexor isn't going down. More wild drones putting damage on Eos and Zealot, but both remaining Harpies are going through their shields simultaneously. One down. The other following quickly. Nebula Rasa wins easily.

WINNER: The Corporation Alliance (5 ships left)
-- Abbadon -- Absolution -- Curse -- Maulus -- Maulus
Primaries: Myrmidon and Maulus. Myrmidon goes through its shield in one fell blast. Going down.. Ah that's a gank setup at The Corp.. The Wolf disappears really quickly. Maulus not going down, fire shifts to Curse, and Absolution: More dampening making focus fire hard. Dominix going down hard now, without damage control its hull just melts. Leaves an Ishtar against 5. Maulus is in 50% armor, while the Curse never really got its armor dented muchly. And the Ishtar goes down quickly. What a hard gank.
Yeah.. ouch :P Those maulus won the fight for them I think. We were loaded with tracking disruptors and were counting on getting close enough fast enough to lock and then we were quite confident TC would have gone belly up. We didn't count on 110 sec lock time for my domi on our ishtar :P So basicly we couldn't remote boost our stuff or lock TC (I hd 4.8k lock range)and went down. Nice setup TC, I hope you go far in the tourney.

WINNER: Stain Empire (5 ships left)
-- Abbadon -- Eos -- Guardian -- Maulus -- Maulus
Morsus Mihi (0 ships left)
3. Caldari Navy Raven 4. Vulture 5. Curse 1. Vigil 2. Vigil
There's just one primary: A Morsus Vigil and it's racing for its life, followed by a swarm of hostile drones. 80% structure almost instantly. The Vigil is still alive, but there it goes. The other one now targetted, and low on shield, chased by a dozen drones. Looks like Morsus is being dampened a lot, still no damage on Stain Empire. Stain shifts fire to the Curse, but it's getting plenty support, and the second Vigil has escaped its fate. Some damage on the Raven, and first primary damage on one of the Mauluses. The second Vigil dies, maybe out of Cap. The Raven is at 60% shield tank. Seems the Abbadon is hurting it plenty, and it's in Armor. Minor damage on the Abbadon. Looks like the Raven has a lock time of over 100 seconds, so never gets to fire at all. And it's down. Stain isn't doing much damage on the Vulture and Curse, but the Curse is cap transferring the Vulture (maybe by NOS from the Vulture) and Vultures are hard to kill with their resists. It's down to 60% shield now, but so is the Abbadon. Both sitting at half shield. Of course, the Abbadon is armor tanked and supported by a Guardian. Curse now out of cap, and both can't target much anything. 4 Minutes left, but the Vulture is in 30% armor now, holding though. 50% hull on the Vulture, well it's not going to survive. And the Curse won't survive.

Serenus Letum (0 ships left)
6. Caldari Navy Raven 7. Nighthawk 4. Curse 3. Vigil 1. Crucifer
WINNER The Five (3 ships left)
-- Megathron Navy Issue -- Absolution -- Zealot 2. Maulus 5. Maulus
Crucifer and Maulus are primary. .. and the Crucifer dies in two blasts, and the Maulus in 4. Fire shifts to Vigil (down in one blast) and Curse, and the other Maulus. The Maulus gets some nice support and is back to full armor, but the Curse is going through its shield suspiciously slowly, but the two big Caldari boats could have remote shield transfer. Some damage spread over The Five now, indication of sensor dampening and rogue drones, or an attempt to bring big guns on bigger ships. The Zealot going into armor at the same time as the Megathron, but both are armor tanks. And the Serenus Curse now is in deep armor, and gone at the same time as the last Five Maulus. Raven + Nighthawk are of course great tanks, without more NOS they'll hold for a long time. Megathron in 70% armor, and Zealot still at full Armor. The Raven goes down quickly now, must be in range now. 20% armor, and 80% armor left on the Megathron, when the Raven goes out of range and is disqualified. Nighthawk vs. three big ships, that's going to hurt. 70% shield left, but then it's down.
It's nice to see many, many teams adding a "gf" to local chat, in spite of sometimes painful losses.

First draw I saw.
DRAW: Veritas Immortalis (5 ships left)
-- Caldari Navy Raven -- Vulture -- Basilisk -- Merlin -- Merlin
DRAW: SMASH Alliance (5 ships left)
-- Dominix -- Huginn -- Celestis -- Celestis -- Cormorant
Huginn has webbed Vulture and Raven while the Celestises must be dampening them, and they can't split. Some drones are flying towards the Merlin. Very nice shield tanks on the Veritas Team, but no damage on the Smash armor tanks either, not even on their shields. Maybe there's some drone killing going on. Still no damage visible after 3 or 4 minutes. Basilisk is receiving cap transfer while shield boosting the Merlins. The Basilisk seems to be primary now, but its shield isn't even going below 90%. Dominix is now in NOS range and trying to dry the Basilisk. 8 minutes and not much going on. The drones are being insta-repaired by scooping them to their bays. Fight ends in 6 minutes and still not a single dent in shield on either side. They must both be set up for tanking. Smash would need this victory, while Veritas could be through with a stale mate. Some sentry drones out from Smash, but not much change. The total number of drones looks to be slightly down now, but they're all combat drones, so it's actually less damage being dealt now. Raven is shooting torps now, haven't seen that earlier, maybe that's the dampening. Dominix promptly goes into armor. Maybe it shouldn't have triedto get into NOS range. 60% armor. It's trying to move back, while the Huginn is keeping the Raven away. And armor is back to 100% again. NOS still going on, but it's outside locking range again. And the Basilisk is refusing to go down. And the fight is over.

4. Megathron 1. Absolution 6. Rupture 7. Rupture
WINNER RAZOR Alliance (2 ships left)
-- Abbadon -- Absolution 2. Oneiros 3. Maulus 5. Maulus
Primaries are Oneiros and Absolution. Exquisite is charing into battle. The Oneiros is down to 90% armor, but tanking. A Maulus goes into shield, while the Absolution stays at 90% AR. Abbadon is NOSsing, one Maulus now 20% AR, but the Oneiros pulls it back to 100%. Absolution down to 40% AR. Nice damage from RAZOR. Oneiros is webbed now, but not enough damage piling up on it. Abbadon also takes some damage, well it's a close-range match so it's maybe not locking raneg problems and Absolution in hull and down. Oneiros goes into hull and is gone. Megathron and Rupture taking little shield damage, but the Abbadon is going into armor at the same time as the Megathron. Since they're all in range probably no point in keeping shooting the Mauluses. Megathron 60% armor. Still very impressive damage from the Abbadon and Absolution. One Maulus down. And the Megathron is 30% hull and down. No armor repair on it, for a passive armor tank? But RAZOR seems to be using green Conflagration lasers again. The first Rupture in 70% armor, and both RAZOR Absolution and Abbadon in high armor with the last Maulus popped easily. Rupture down. and the last one will probably not last long, but it's not taking much damage while the Absolution is in 80% armor. Still no damage on the Rupture. There, shield gone, being webbed and NOSsed.

WINNER The Star Fraction (4 ships left)
-- Dominix -- Ishtar -- Huginn -- Vexor Navy Issue
Muffins of Mayhem (3 ships left) -- Abbadon -- Eos -- Prophecy 1. Maulus 2. Maulus
Drones are going out and a Maulus is primary, going down fast. The Huginn is the other primary, shield 70% while the other Maulus enters armor. Looks like the Star Fraction has brought a lot of damage. Abbadon seems to be smartbombing something .. but are there drones on it? Damage now on the Muffins Prophecy while the Huginn is below 30% armor. Prophecy 80% armor, and the Huginn recovers with support to 80% armor itself. Seems the Prophecy is taking some damage from its own Abbadon smartbomb. Drones are called back by Star Fraction, and the Smartbomb is still eating Abbadon cap. Actually looks like the Eos has some smartbombs, too. Huginn still hanging in between 20% and 60% armor. While the Star Fraction doesn't have many drones left and hence are low on damage, Muffins doesn't seem to break their tank either and they have lost two Mauluses so the Star Fraction is still on top.

WINNER DeStInY. (4 ships left)
-- Ishkur -- Vengeance -- Hawk -- Hawk
Enemies of Carlotta (0 ships left)
1. Hawk 2. Hawk 3. Hawk 4. Hawk
An arranged assault frigate match from two teams at the end of their bracket. Vengeance is primary (and one of the Hawks). Lots of missiles and sensor dampeners going on. The Vengeance goes into 80% armor, while the Hawk is in 70% shield, but that's normal tanking. The Ishkur is using 5 Warriors II against a Hawk shield tank, so that's going to take a while, but go through armor quick since they're explosive damage. Vengeance staying around 50% armor, and the Hawk just went into armor. And first blood goes to DeStInY. Vengenace is tanking four ships nicely. Enemies are now shooting down the Ishkur's drones. Vengeance is rebuilding armor, 80% now, while the second Hawk is in 60% shield. Fire shifts to a DeStInY Hawk, but their second Hawk goes through its shield quickly. Dampening doesn't work so well in short range combat like this. Retribution could be an even better tank, but the Vengeance isn't having much problems. Third Hawk in armor while it's down to 30% armor. DeStInY must be glad it got called primary. Last Hawk is target painting for a light show, and receives some NOSsing

-- Raven Navy Issue -- Nighthawk 5. Cerberus 2. Maulus 4. Caldari Navy Hookbill
The Red Skull (0 ships left)
8. Raven 6. Eos 7. Lachesis 1. Maulus 3. Maulus
Primaries are a Mercenary Maulus and the Hookbill. The Maulus goes down fast. It's the Mercenary gank setup I believe. Their own Maulus is taking more damage than their Hookbill. Complaints of lag in local. And the second Skull Maulus dies. Their Lachesis is next primary, while the Mercenary Hookbill is down to 50% shield. Lachesis is in high armor just when the Hookbill hits armor itself, but it's going down first. Hull damage and BOOM! HULLSHOT (had to get this in). The Lachesis is keeping a nice armor tank going. 80% now, and some damage piled on the Cerberus: It's in 80% shield now. Not too many drones out this match. The Eos and the Raven are remote armor repairing the Lachesis, and the Eos is giving it Cap, while the Mercenary Cerberus is now down to 20% shield. It's being webbed and can't get out of optimal. Mercenaries change primary to the Skull Raven, since they can't break the Lachesis. Raven down to 50% shield while the Cerberus is down in hull. Actually, the Lachesis is now starting to lose armor, too, 60%, but the Cerberus is down. Skull Raven in 60% armor from Mercenary torpedoes, while their Lachesis is hanging around 50% armor. The Caldari Navy Raven doesn't drop its shield in spite of being called primary. Two perfect shields against 2 damaged armors and a completely healed Eos. Local is complaining about lag again, all out of synch: Staying in the arena is now hard. The Skull Raven in half hull is going to go down. Must have a Damage Control. LeMonde is calling distances now. The lag is keeping Red Skull from mutual support, range problem. Now their Raven is back to 50% shield, with 50% hull left, so that was lag problems. Their Eos is now taking damage, all shield gone, 50% armor, and the Mercenary Raveo has lost all shield! Lachesis lost some armor again, but the Eos is in hull now. Who's going to die first? The Mercenary Raven is very slowly taking armor damage, just 90% dent, and they popped the Skull Eos. Lachesis 20% armor, and the Skulls are NOT happy. The Mercenary Raven has recovered shield a little, but went back into armor, while they popped the Lachesis. Two vs. one, Skull is losing.

That was the biggest DPS caldari team we could put out - i think about 1600 DPS from the big three ships :) Wanted to go out with a bang i hope everyone liked it :)
The changing targets was based entirely on who we could lock throughout the match - we were fadcing a lot of damps.

2. Ferox 3. Ferox 1. Prophecy
WINNER Terra Incognita (5 ships left)
-- Raven -- Curse -- Celestis -- Celestis -- Maulus
Apparently Xelas feels the financial pain, but they're not going to win anything so I can understand that. One of the Feroxes has T2 Howitzers fitted, and on of the Celestises has lasers. Prophecy is primary, and loses shield instantly, which is normal. The Curse seems to be target for Xelas, but not losing shield fast. Prophecy goes through its armor really quick, and is first victim. The NOS raneg on that Curse is nice, going all over to the Ferox. And Ferox is down into armor, hull, and pod. The Curse is in 20% armor, but that's all that's gonna happen. Last Ferox in 40% shield. Terra Icognita seems to be more busy smacking EvE TV in local now, but of course the last Ferox is done.

WINNER Band of Brothers (5 ships left)
-- Eos -- Curse -- Oneiros -- Celestis -- Caldari Issue Hookbill
Euphoria Unleashed (0 ships left)
4. Dominix 5. Absolution 2. Auguror Navy Issue 3. Auguror Navy Issue 1. Maulus
Primary is the Maulus, with some collateral damage on an Auguror. The Curse is the Euphoria primary, naturally, but a bit of damage is coming in to the Hookbill, too. The Auguror hits armor at the same time as the Hookbill. And the Auguror goes down more quickly: 20% armor left, and the Hookbill is kept alive by support. The Curse is still in 20% shield, but usually these are armor tanked. Some sensor dampening going on to the Euphoria team by the Oneiros. And the Auguror dies. The other one is now down to 80% armor, but the Curse hit 70% armor too. And is brought back. Apparently BoB is using good mutual support. Their Celestis hits armor, too, but I don't think it's going anywhere soon. Auguror 10% armor and goes into hull and dies. The BoB Curse is now in best range for Absolution conflagration lasers, but its armor goes back to 100% from 10%, and of course lasers don't work well on armor tanks. Dominix lost all its shield and is next primary. The Curse once again is down to 5% armor and actually loses a few percent hull, but again is brought back to 80% armor. More damage piled upon it, 80% to 20% in 2 seconds, 20% to 80% in another second, that armor must look like a Minmatar make by now. The Dominix is now down to 50% armor, well. Celestis is down to 70% hull. Let's see if BoB can keep that alive, too. Dominix down to 20% armor, and the Celestis is saved by support at 50% hull. Armor Repair has a nasty delay, alpha can punch through that. Dominix is going down slowly through its hull, another damage control, but then it explodes. Five on one on a single Absolution being NOSed by a Curse. Another flawless victory.

2. Drake 3. Drake 1. Drake 4. Hawk
WINNER Cult of War (4 ships left)
-- Dominix -- Absolution -- Ishtar -- Retribution
Let's see how a triple Drake missile spamming team will look against drones and lasers. Dominix is their primary, while the Hawk is taking initial damage. Both half shields, but the Hawk is of course shield tanked, and works well, very likely with major support. The Dominix isn't moving away from 90% armor, and its Retribution wing mate is now going through its shield. Dominix is NOSing a Drake now, and the Hawk is left alone at 100% shield and the Drake is going through its shield far too quickly: 50%, 20%, while both Retribution and Dominix are holding their armor tank steady. Drake 50% armor, NOS killed it. It probably was spending too much CAP healing the Hawk. Another Drake is now primary. Seems the Drake are not as good shield tanks as some teams would like them to be. But their numbers really speak for them being damage dealers. Another Drake down, and Exuro's attempts to switch fire to the Absolution don't change a thing. No armor is being shed by Cult of War. Third Drake under heavy fire, and going down. Doesn't help that it's getting webbed. The Retribution dipped down to 70% armor briefly, but no problem there.

WINNER Otherworld Empire Productions (3 ships left)
-- Rokh -- Drake -- Nighthawk
Again, nothing left to win, but on the last round this kind of setup is to be expected. Primary one of the Celestises, and the other one goes through its shield just as quickly. The Drake is now taking some minor damage, but both Celestis are in armor. Otherworld is using F.O.Fs against the dampener cruisers, and some are hitting LeMonde, since he's warp scrambling everyone to keep them in the arena. Celestis down, and fire goes to the Thorax. Drake in 60% shield. Seems like the Thorax is going to die before the Celestis. Not much left to say. On to the last match of the day!

WINNER The Sani Sabik (5 ships left)
-- Dominix -- Eos -- Ishtar -- Eris -- Maulus
Dusk and Dawn (0 ships left)
1. Cyclone 2. Cyclone 3. Ferox 4. Ferox
With a bit of mutual shield support, maybe these shield tanker battlecruiser will last a little. The Maulus goes through shield instantly, and one of the Cyclones is primary on the other side. 70% armor on the Maulus, and is it getting support? Aah there it is. 90% armor. But back down to 30% armor with plenty T2 drones on it. But it's getting enough support now. 100% armor again, and the cyclone is at 60% shield, and back to 70%. The Eris is now also losing its shield. The key to killing a mutual support team seems to be to lay down enough fire on more than one target. Eris between 50% and 90% armor, and the Maulus doing the same. Cyclone steady around 60% shield. It receives CAP from its team mates, but apparently not enough remote shield transfer: armor touched, and lost almost instantly. Cyclone in hull, with a bit of shield tank still going on, but it's burning brightly and explodes. Neither Eris nor Maulus are losing any more armor, and the second Cyclone is now focus of the Sani Sabik fire. Wow. Both cameras crashed due to local power surge. The commentators do some improvisations, but that Cyclone is very likely going down now. Images being drawn now. Well all 4 battlecruisers are now down, so it's save to assume that The Sani Sabik won.
Anyway, this is the last match of the day.
All the teams that made the cut: Very well done indeed. You have some major tactics. I'm very excitedly looking forward to the matches tomorrow.
And all those who didn't: Even better job, really. Some of you fielded teams that stole points where noone expected them to.
Everybody, well done indeed and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

The Corporation Alliance (0 ships left)
3. Abbadon 6. Absolution 4. Curse 5. Maulus 7. Maulus
WINNER Nebula Rasa (2 ships left)
-- Dominix -- Eos 1. Vexor Navy Issue 2. Vexor Navy Issue
Primaries are Mauluses and a Vexor. The Vexor is stripped of its shield rather quickly with barrage fire from 7 purple Abbadon scorch lasers. 20% hull and first blood! The two Mauluses are in 70% armor each, while the Abbadon got stripped of shield itself. Second Vexor is soon in armor, with the Dominix supporting it. This is taking a while. Second Vexor down. Abbadon is in structure, while Dominix is 80% armor supported by Eos. Abbadon is down! Now who's going next? All The Corp ships are stripped of their shields now, and the Nebula Dominix is holding around 60% armor. Lots of drones chewing on the Absolution now. Absolution holding very comfortably above 90% armor. Curse is 90% armor at the same time. All the NOS doesn't seem to hurt the Dominix too badly. Dominix is slowly going down, 30% armor, not much damage on The Corp any more. Curse is new primary, armor almost vanished in 5 seconds. And it's gone. With the Curse gone, the Dominix may do better. Still at 30% armor, and NOSsing the Absolution hard. One of the Mauluses is being taking through 20% armor fast, while the Absolution seems to run out of CAP, 50% armor, and running lasers and armor runner will be a problem. Dominix recovers from enemy cap, armor 90% back. Absolution has stopped firing with no cap left, but the Maulus enters hull first. Nebula takes an impressive win.

The Five (1 ships left)
3. Abbadon -- Absolution 4. Zealot 1. Caldari Navy Hookbill 2. Caldari Navy Hookbill
WINNER Exquisite Malevolance (5 ships left)
-- Dominix -- Huginn -- Sleipnir -- Flycatcher -- Caldari Navy Hookbill
Primaries are two Hookbills. The Malevolance once goes down to 10% shield immediately, that's a laser salvo. But the Five Hookbill dies to a lot of drones plus Flycatcher missiles. The second Five Hoobkill now in 10% shield, while the Malevolance Hookbill has support and recovers to 40% shield. The Flycatcher is now taking a bit of damage. Zealot is going through its shield now, but its armor is holding strong. The Dominix doesn't have any guns, but isn't NOSsing in spite of being in range. All Malevolance ships are back to almost full shields, Five must be concentrating fire on drones. Stable situation. The Sleipnir has Autocannons, but are they going to get any closer? They're on top now. Huginn is now new primary, 70% shield, Zealot at 90% armor and repping, and the Abbadon is now down to 40% shield. Again the situation holds for a little, then it goes into armor. 80% armor. 7 minutes left, it's going to be hard to kill it in that time. 40% armor, nice tank on that Abbadon, but no shield damage whatsoever on Malevolance. Abbadon in hull, and 4 minutes left. It's going to go down. Zealot 80% armor and downbound now. Dominix now sitting on it NOS range, that's gonna hurt. Support from the Absolution wont help that. 80% hull and 1 minute left, but it's down. Fight over, and it's a 5:1 win.

Stain Empire (1 ships left)
-- Abbadon 6. Eos 5. Guardian 3. Maulus 4. Maulus
WINNER: THE R0NIN (3 ships left)
-- Abbadon -- Absolution -- Curse 1. Caldari Navy Hookbill 2. Caldari Navy Hookbill
Both Abbadon don't seem to have any guns fitted. So is that NOS and Support and Smartbombs? A Maulus and the Absolution are primary. Interesting choice by Stain. Maulus is saved by support, and one of the Hookbills is going down slowly. Shield 50%, and the Absolution isn't hurting much either, 90% shield. The Hookbill couldn't take it any more. Maulus holding between armor and shield, that's the Guardian at work. The second Maulus is taken down into armor, too, with a few drones, but the Hookbill explodes from severe Stain damage, not least of it from drones. The first Maulus follows it in a second. One standard rule-compliant can dropped to the field by R0NIN. The Guardian and the Curse are now being targetted, both in armor, let's see if they can survive. Doesn't look good for the Guardian, 40% armor, but recovering a bit. Curse still at 80%. The Eos takes some shield damage, but it's probably armor tanked. All ships are in a tight huddle and NOSsing, except the Guardian being a bit away, and for a while not receiving remote repair. It's in range again and goes back to 80% armor. Curse still at 70%. 10 minutes left, and it's probably going to be decided by who runs out of cap first, and Guardians have major cap recharge. The Stain Eos is in 50% armor and going down fast, but the Guardian seems to have caught it .. but is that in time? 90% hull, but receives 20% armor back. More range issues, but no complaints of lag yet except when one pilot asked for the background fog to be removed before the start of the match. Guardian and Curse still around 80% armor, not much going on. It'll be an Assault Frigate match if they can't do any more damage in the naxt 7 minutes. Eos comfortably back to 50% armor. Guardian is still on the opposite side of the team, and being NOSsed. Back down to 30% armor, and Stain is trying to get in range. It's a fast ship, but webbed. 10% armor. A scratch in hull. Two Abbadons edging in to get close, but it's down. That breaks the tie. Eos will probably have problems now, too. Yes, 80% hull. The Absolution on the opposite side has 90% armor. Eos expodes. More green conflagration lasers painting the Stain Abbadon. 70% armor, 2 minutes left, still holding by its own heavy NOS. It'll probably survive. But Stain loses. 60% hull left, but the match is over.

WINNER The Star Fraction (4 ships left)
-- Dominix (Jasmine Constantine) -- Ishtar -- Huginn -- Vexor Navy Issue
Veritas Immortalis (2 ships left)
-- Raven Navy Issue (Light Darkness) -- Vulture 3. Basilisk 1. Merlin 2. Merlin
The Raven is shooting torps at the Dominix, and puts it in half shield in one salvo. One Veritas Merlin is primary. The Dominix has full guns apparently. Seems the Dominix has a shield tank, it's not taking much damage. Must be more sensor dampeners on the Raven. Fire has shifted to the other Merlin, and fast fire takes it into hull in three fell blows. 20% hull left when finally the Basilisk struggles to keep it alive, but too late. Merlin down. The Raven can't get a lock. The first Merlin targetted again, but the Basilisk keeps it alive. Hmm, 20% armor, and it's not looking good. Burst damage breaks support on small ships, and it's down. Some fire now on Basilisk and Vulture. Basilisk to 50% shield, but supported in turn. Dominix still at 80% shield, so maybe it's not a shield tank, just no damage. Raven is transferring Cap to Vulture, and Vulture is transferring shield and Cap to Basilisk, but it's down to 70% armor, and going into hull, and explodes. Vultures with shield resistance warfare links usually make for a hard shield tanking team, but it wasn't hard enough. The Star Fraction has some sentry drones out to shoot targets webbed by Huginn, which seems to be in range now and takes damage. 30% shield left. Cap transfers between Raven and Vulture means, you'll be able to generate Cap. 2 minutes left and not much damage on either Raven nor Vulture, nor the Star Fraction team actually.

4. Dominix (Dendron) 3. Ishtar 1. Curse 2. Vexor Navy Issue
WINNER Terra Incognita. (5 ships left)
-- Raven -- Curse -- Caracal Navy Issue (Ramuh) -- Caracal Navy Issue -- Maulus
Primaries are the two Curses, and the Prime Orbital one is in 70% armor very fast. Actually, Prime is also shooting a Caracal at the same time, it goes into 70% armor about the same time as the Curse, but the Prime Curse dies first. The Vexor is next primary for Terra, and apparently that Caracal is armor repaired. Interesting. Sensor dampening seems to have taken the lock away on the Curse and Caracals, just a couple drones scattering random fire over Terra. The Vexor is holding around 90% armor, and the Terra drones are spreading fire on Dominix, Ishtar and Vexor in turn. The Terra Caracal is back to 80% armor, and so is the Curse. Vexor is back under fire in 40% armor and going down and gone. A lot of mutual NOSsing and Cap transfer and support going on between the Terra ships, while they're stripping the Prime Ishtar of its shield. It's in armor now, and not holding. Just the Prime Dominix left, and all five Terra ships are slowly rebuilding their shield. Could have their mids filled with dampeners when they're armor tanking. Dominix in 50% armor, well this is one of the faster matches.

WINNER Band of Brothers (5 ships left)
-- Bhaalgorn (TWD) -- Sleipnir -- Curse -- Caldari Navy Hookbill -- Caldari Navy Hookbill
Against ALL Authorities (0 ships left)
5. Abbadon (Energo) 4. Eos 3. Ishtar 2. Daredevil 1. Worm
First Bhaalgorn in the tournament. No turrets on the Abbadon again, so NOS vs NOS? Primaries are Ishtar and Curse. Actually spread fire over Triple A, and the Worm is in 10% armor. Bhaalgorn also down on shield, both NOS ships in 40% shield, but Curse recovers while the Bhaalgorn is in 80% armor and going down. Worm explodes, and the Daredevil just disappeared. Nice damage. Ishtar down to 80% armor, wow, fast action here, 50%, and the Bhaalgorn is down to 50% armor, but more slowly now. Ishtar 10% armor and into hull, this is going to hurt Triple A. Eos set up for damage with Blasters, and its shield is down to 20%. The Bhaalgorn recovers, 80% armor, this is still a very fast game. NOSsing back and forth, just 40% hull left on the Eos. Abbadon won't have much damage, so it's not going to kill anything. Going through its shield fast, but the tank on that Abbadon will hold a little longer. Probably not much mutual support in Triple A, with a gank setup that didn't beat BoB. They sound a bit upset.

-- Apocalypse Imperial Issue -- Absolution (Tyrrax Thorrk) 7. Curse 2. Maulus 3. Maulus
Axiom Empire (0 ships left)
8. Raven Navy Issue 6. Vulture (Lee Jarrett) 4. Curse 1. Merlin 5. Merlin
And the fight is on again. Primary is an Axiom Merlin, and it explodes instantly. The second one takes some shield damage, but is supported. The IAC Curse is primary for Axe, and staying near 90% armor with the help of support. The Merlin is tanking well now, and Axiom spreads some extra fire on a Maulus, which goes down to 80% armor. Merlin actually recoveres all its shield. And one Maulus dies. The big ships are all in a big huddle now with lots of NOS and support going back and forth. The second Maulus is in 20% armor and going down, but clearly it's more important to keep the Curse alive, and dampening is not a priority at this range. Both Curses now being targetted, the IAC one still at 90%, and the Axiom one not even dipping low into its shield. Alpha damage brings it into 70% armor in one blast, but its shield is back to 100%. Will that happen again? 11 minutes to go, and not much damage breaking through any tank. The Axiom Curse did get alphaed in the end. Nice shot! Now it's up to Axiom to kill a ship. Merlin 50% shield, but getting repair. How DID they damage like that? 80% shield 50% armor and all hull gone in two or three seconds. Merlin is chasing drones, but the main threat is an attack on the Axiom Vulture now: Shield going below 50%, and once that's gone it's going to die soon. And it hit armor, while at the same time the second Merlin dies. That IAC Curse blew up finally, but the solo Raven won't survive for long.

5. Dominix 4. Eos (Levin Cavil) 3. Ishtar 2. Eris 1. Maulus
WINNER Cult of War (4 ships left)
-- Dominix (Ookke) -- Damnation -- Ishtar -- Retribution
And The Sani Sabik team loses a Maulus first, and is piling a lot of damage on the Cult Dominix. 80% armor, but support is in. The Eris is the next Cult priamry, going into armor, but it's supported of course just the same keeping it between 60% and 80% armor. Retribution is stripped of its shield, but the Cult Dominix holds near 90% armor. The Eris is trying to survive at 10% hull, 30% armor, and still alive. Dominix is near 70% armor now, and the Eris climbs bak to 70% armor. It's a NOSfest now in a big pile of ships. Retribtuion took a few lucky hits bringing it to 80% armor, but not great change now. Cult changes primary to the Sani Sabik Ishtar and takes it into 80% armor, but their own Dominix is slowly going down: 40% armor, back to 50% and 60%, while the Sani Sabik Ishtar dips to 50% armor itself. And a switch back to the Eris, trying to outfox the support, and they do it. Eris down. It was popping a lot of drones. Sani Sabik still trying to kill the Dominix, but it went up to 70% armor, with a bit of damage on the Retribution around the same level, but their Ishtar is in 30% armor and going down. And it dips into hull and is gone. Doesn't look like the Sani Sabik has enough damage left now. The Cult Dominix is back to 100% armor, and all the shield and a lot of armor is taken out of the Eos. 50% armor 20% armor hull .. that's no cap left for tank. It's gone. The Cult Dominix one last time goes to 50% armor, but it's switched on the repper again. The Sani Sabik losing shield, and going through its armor slowly, but steadily. 50% and 70% armor, and going down again.

WINNER Nebula Rasa (4 ships left)

Exquisite Malevolance (0 ships left)
5. Dominix 6. Absolution 2. Huginn 4. Flycatcher (JOSEPHx) 3. Caldari Navy Hookbill
Primaries are Maulus and the Huginn. The Maulus never saw it coming, down in seconds. Huginn holding at 80% armor, but it's really a shield tank. Malevolance starts chewing on the Nebula Dominix, but it's still in 50% shield while the Huginn is down to 50% armor, and still going down. The Flycatcher must be busy killing drones, lots of them around it, but the Huginn is down to 50% hull and explodes. Nebula can now come in range and use NOS. Flycatcher goes through armor rapidly, 50% armor, but supported back to 100%. At the same time the Hookbill went to 10% armor, and it is being supported, too. The number of drones around Malevolance is decreasing. Hookbill is still alive. Malevolance switches target to the Vexor, but not hurting its shield much either. Absolution by Malevolance in 80% armor, and a quick fire switch kills the Hookbill, and the Flycatcher is going down again, 10% armor, 70% hull, but armor fully up again. Nebulas managed to break up their defence by quick primary switches, and another such takes the Flycatcher. Malevolance Dominix is primary, 10% shield. Vexor is in 90% armor, but no problems, while the Malevolance Dominix is down to 60% armor. It's in range of the Nebula NOS Dominix now. 20% armor on the Malevolance Dominix, and going into hull. Absolution last man standing still trying to kill drones. 80% armor and going down.

The Star Fraction (0 ships left)
4. Dominix (Jasmine Constantine) 3. Huginn 2. Ishtar 1. Vexor Navy Issue
Vexor is primary, but again supported nicely around 90% armor. The Hookbills are logical primary targets and receiving some damage, one down to 50% shield. At least three R0NIN ships are webbed, and it would be mad to leave the team. Vexor down to 40% armor and going down, Hookbill at 50%. But the Vexor goes down first. A lot of damage piled on both Ishtar and Huginn means a really quick victory for R0NIN. Dominix charging into the guns for a glorious explosion.

Bhalgoorn charging into it like seen before, NOSsing. A Maulus is its first prey. Down in 4 seconds. The Lachesis is the Terra primary, 80% armor, LOTS of damage going on. Caracal next primary for BoB, 80% armor, but the Lachesis is down to 20%.. And got repped to 100%. Caracal down to 20%, and the Terra Curse takes some damage, 60% shield, but the Caracal explodes. Celestis next target and stripped of shield and armor in one go. Curse doing down now, 70% armor, but Lachesis is at 50% again. With over 33k pilots in space, there's now some lag. Actually tournament had to be relocated to a new system 5 fights ago. Curse is down, and BoB isn't taking much damage at all. Complaints of lag in local.

5. Apocalypse Imperial Issue 4. Absolution (Tyrrax Thorrk) 3. Curse 1. Maulus 2. Maulus
WINNER Cult of War (4 ships left)
-- Dominix (Ookke) -- Absolution -- Ishtar -- Retribution
One of the Cult Mauluses is primary, and IAC goes for the Retribution. The Maulus is down, but the Cult Retribution is down to 30% armor, repped to 50% and holding. Damage piling up on the second Maulus, and it's in armor, but the Retribution is back to full armor. Maulus in hull, and it's down. Looks like the Curse is the next Cult target, just going into armor holding steady, while the Retribution is around 80% armor. The Curse is now between 60% and 70% armor. It's a nice NOS and Support origami, everyody in one pile. Curse is webbed and down to 10% armor, not holding much longer. The Ishtar got stripped of its shield, but not much damage on its armor. Curse down. Two versus four. Ishtar is going down to 70% armor, while Cult is shooting the IAC Absolution taking it into 90% armor, but it's holding there. Ishtar about 50% armor, but repaired back to 80% armor. The IAC Absolution is down to 70% armor. Only a Cap win can bring back IAC now. Ishtar touched 30% armor, but the Absolution is down to 50%, and 10 minutes to go. IAC using fire switching to surprise Cult, and manages to take both Retribution and Ishtar into 20% and lower armor, but Cult recovers every time. Their own Absolution is still near 50% armor, very, very slowly inching towards 40%. Time passes, and the IAC Absolution is still inching towards hull between 10% and 20% armor now. And it's in structure. 7 Minutes and the IAC Absolution is down. Can that Impoc tank all of them? 50% shield, and it's not goig to have enough damage with its Cap and tank fitting. 70% armor and it's a ransom by Cult, but it's declined. 30% armor and 5 minutes. 2.5 bill counter-offer, declined by Cult now. It's burning.

Nebula Rasa (0 ships left)
5. Dominix 4. Eos (Andor Traxel) 3. Vexor Navy Issue 2. Vexor Navy Issue 1. Maulus
WINNER Band of Brothers (5 ships left)
-- Bhaalgorn (TWD) -- Eos -- Curse -- Caldari Navy Hookbill -- Caldari Navy Hookbill
Primary is the Maulus and it's down. The Curse is going into armor, and its Bhaalgorn mate storms into the midst of the enemy losing its shields. More simlutaneous damage on both Vexors. The Bhaalgorn takes 80% armor damage, and so does one of the Vexors. All Bhaalgorn, Eos and Curse are stripped of shield, and it's a game of surprising the support setup probably, to catch the Curse off guard maybe. The Vexor is down to 10% and in hull. Curse is 60% armor, Eos 80%, Bhaalgorn 80%, Curse down to 20% and back to full. Vexor down and the second in 80% armor now. Bhaalgorn down to 40% armor, and the Vexor down to 20% armor. Bhaalgorn 25% armor, and the Vexor is trying its bext to hold onto its hull. Eos in 50% armor, but the second Vexor is down. The Hookbills are completely out of the eye of the Nebula damage dealiers. Eos went down fast with NOSsing like that, almost faster than either Vexor. Bhaalgorn and Eos holding around 70% armor, and the last Nebula Dominix at 80% armor and going down with at least 5 NOS rays swirling around it. 20% and all armor repaired at Band of Brothers. It's game over, flawless victory.

Nebula vs BoB match... ... was basicly over after 10 seconds, as bob won the "dampening war". Got quite entertaining anyway.
Am I forced to have any regret? I've become the lie, beautiful and free In my righteous own mind I adore and preach the insanity you gave to me |

They need farjung and james calling, can't believe that the commentators missed why the drones were going everywhere.

Hardly remote repping micromanaging played a huge part too.

WINNER: THE R0NIN (5 ships left)
-- Abbadon -- Absolution (Sairait) -- Curse -- Caldari Navy Hookbill -- Caldari Navy Hookbill
Cult of War (0 ships left)
3. Dominix (Ookke) 4. Damnation 1. Ishtar 2. Retribution
Primary a Hookbill and the Ishtar. Hookbill chews through its shield, but the Ishtar goes into armor a bit more quickly. 60% armor, and the Hookbill is at 70%. Ishtar still dropping, but repairing a little bit. Not enough, most likely. It touches hull, and the Hookbill is still alive around 20% armor. Yes, going back up. The Ishtar is recovered to 20% armor itself. The second Hookbill not takes fire, 80% armor, and the R0NIN Curse also got stripped of its shield. Ishtar in 60% hull and it's down. First blood! The Cult Dominix is next primary, all shield gone quickly. It's not a NOS Abbadon here. 70% armor, and all three smaller R0NIN ships are losing armor while being repaired, none really going down critically. Dominix at 40% armor slowly going down. Damnation trying to keep its Dominix alive. Their Retribution took a 50% armor hit straight through shield. And 10%, it's gone next. Dominix now in structure. Impressive teamwork by THE R0NIN. That's the Dominix that took out the Impoc, wrecked. Damnation won't last long now.
[22:20:50] Sairait > excellent fight CoW [22:21:43] Solovej > very nice dps and damp combo. try to kill BoB :)

Haha, almost forgot to post the MOST IMPORTANT fight!
Band of Brothers
-- Bhaalgorn (TWD) -- Eos (Shakaz XIV) -- Curse (Ja5on) -- Caldari Navy Hookbill (Sforza) -- Caldari Navy Hookbill (ubikar)
THE R0NIN
5. Abbadon (Rira Vanga) 4. Absolution (Sairait) 3. Curse (Kaba Tron) 2. Caldari Navy Hookbill (Shivaja) 1. Caldari Navy Hookbill (Smolarev)
Bhaalgorn once again conveniently dashing into primary position, but shield tanking easily so far. R0NIN is taking damage on their Curse and a Hookbill simultaneously. The Hookbill touches hull and goes down. Bhaalgorn at 30% shield, and the Eos has some minor shield damage. And the second Hookbill follows its mate soon enough. Three R0NIN ships with shield damage now, but that's all armor tanks. haalgorn tanking near 90% armor. The R0NIN Curse is down to 70% armor now. They're trying to get out of range, webbing the Bhaalgorn with drones, but their Curse is critically into structure, and gone. Logically, next target is the Absolution. Bhaalgorn is still near 100% armor, and the BoB Eos is around 50% shield still. Absolution 80% armor and slowly inching down, trying to get out of range. They hit the arena wall and turn a sharp left, and NOS will kill them now. Absolution 10% armor and going down.
[22:55:37] Sairait > well done, NOS > all :) [22:59:54] ubikar > thanks to all the teams we fought
Band of Brothers wins the Third Caldari Alliance Championship Tournament
Well done, people. Well done ALL participants: Great fights!
