Please bring back the direct EVE TV streams:
- No random stops (same problem as Grez)
- No need to get up and press "continue" to keep watching (what were they thinking?
 ) - Better video quality
- Better sound quality
- We can use our own client software (better UI, not browser based, nice post processing filters)
The flash based client is simply a downgrade in every way.

Thats a good idea saying where you are so they know wheres its screwing up. (though I think its everywhere)

I hope the network issues are sorted out soon, or if not, that good measures are taken for the next tourny. I can see that a lot of very good effort has been put into this broadcast. Makes me feel proud of CCP, EveTV crew and the community. Which in turn makes me sad to see it let down by a third party network problem.
Hope the best, but if all fails, hope the lessons you learned here will benifit you in the next tourny

By the way, you could see the video in Mozilla SeaMonkey, so I suspect Firefox works, too... I can't be sure, because the stream seems to have decided not to send data to Texas any more.
The more software layers you have between the original content, and the person watching it, the more likely it is that one of those layers will have performance issues. The old "chain is only as strong as the weakest link" saying is still true in software. It is especially true with DRMed, proprietary, beta software with the word "monetise" on the developer's website.
Don't use BETA software in a full-scale production environment. |

all I saw was something about a domi and it crashed/booted me off. This is the worst exp I have seen. Plus to put ppl in a .1 and say fight and let the ppl fighting to take security hits for a turny.. heh ..

Yeah I'm in TX as well and it just sits their at buffering 0%. I was able to watch the 1st 6 matches but now it seems dead.

I have friends online, watching this tourney with me, heck during the intro they asked if they could use one of my accounts later on tomorrow, as they where impressed by the graphics and the idea of the gameplay.
Heck they could even tolerate Spiro<g>
They play other online game`s, and this was a way of showing them the deal about EVE.
If they found the flash impressive, heck guys wait until they see it for real or the old stream...
last two fights they just sat giggling.

why outsource smth that u managed to do last time in a very nice way.. those guys responsible for the streams are clearly up for a spanking.. and some ppl even payed for this to be able to use the HQ stream. which aint happening. smooth

I have been sat at buffering 0% for about 10 mins now - not acceptable!
Stop the tourney sort out the Eve TV elements and then restart it again - before this turns out to be a very poor advertisement for Eve CCP and Revelations.
Cmon guys get it right ...... I have patience as do the rest of the playerbase we now need communication.
