i would like everyone who thinks we should all get 1\2 a days time credited to our accounts because of the fact we only get a half playable server since rev. has come out. please post here if you the eve players think this would be a good gesture by ccp.

This patch went as good as none before in terms of a playable EVE soon after it was deployed...so get a grip.

Lets see.
15$ / 30 days = $0.50.
$0.50 x 145,000 = $72,000.00 PLUS the cost of employee wages for the time it would take to issue the refund...
that's $75K that they won't have to pay for techs/programers to improve the game.
$0.50 won't make me feel better about the lag, but knowing they've hired an extra Network tech, or an extra Programer to fix bugs would be better for me then a 50Cent refund.

ccp has never refunded any amount of time to anyone so why do you think they will start with half a day? and as someone said, its 25 cents, get a job already :)

Thats because you cant play EVE without its expansions, unlike other games where your not FORCED to purchase expansions simply to play them. Looks like you need a better excuse TBFH.

ok ccp in the past did refund for crappy server days like these. i have been playing since 2003 and have gotten refunds because of these problems in the past. so dont tell me they have never given time refunds.

if you have been playing since 2003 then you know better than to ask for a refund, even worse a 1/2 day refund. Those refunds were given out for days of issues and not just a few hours.

lol ok ive cant even jump threw a darn gate with out getting Q'ed for 10mins or my node that im on goes boom. thats been going on since rev come out. so its not just a few hrs so you need think more. and ccp need to get more people or just take the server down till they can get it back up and running with out all this crap problums or just end eve all together. ether way is fine with me. no eve is about better then paying for something you only get half a use of.

CCP have stated 2 day downtime might get u refunded a day otherwise its covered by the EULA that they dont need to give u anything

im not asking for me personally to get 1\2 of one day. im asking that ccp credit all eve accounts 1\2 a day since rev has went live on tq. so im not asking for myself, im thinking of all the other players to.

Its amazing how much people dont care about whats going on and even joking about it.
You all like to be blamed? You all like to pay for a bugged game? Ok, if that is what you want, just move on, but dont cry in the future if this becoming more and more common.
Its not just 25 cents...no one will die because of this but its the way CCP handle the customers...when did they release eve? nearly 3 Years ago? and they have still not learnd that a patch have to be tested before realease? Serverdowntimes are increasing more and more and after it, the game have more bugs than before, more lags, more things players dont want. That is ok for you? If so, its ok, but if noone say something, nothing will ever change.
Today i have had to quit playing because i couldnt leave the system (no jumping possible)...hey that wasnt my fault, wasnt it?? So why should i pay? Its only fair to get a repay for the time everyone couldnt play, or even some free days...but as long as everyone is just crying ingame in the chat and joking in the forum, nothing will ever change. They can do it to you...hey, you all seem to be happy with it, right?

i agree with you Shariell. but let me say one thing. i have played for over 3 years and i love this game. i love ccp for giveing us this game. im not going to stop playing because of a few problems. all im trying to do is bring it to the attention of the people that ccp needs to do something more then they are. lets face it since eve china started tq has went down hill fast. this latest patch is just more prof of it.

I haven't had a single problem connecting to the server since Revelations came out. I've had two instances of mild lag, completely normal, and one instance of a graphics glitch that forced me to relog.
CCP owes me nothing, and Revelations has not been as bad as you're trying to make it seem.

I'm the first person to moan when CCP mess up, I'm the first person to say what they did right as well. You can quote the EULA til you are blue in the face, theres also a thing called "Goodwill", the general premise being its their fault (for a certain definition of fault) and to keep people happy and demonstrate contrition, they give back, or don't take next month, a certain amount of cash. Its a gesture that says "We're sorry that you couldn't use the kickass service we try to provide for you, and here's something so we can make it up to you". People who troll about "not being able to deal with real life" are missing the point - there are levels of professionalism to be upheld. Just because Eve is only a game doesn't negate that. Would you accept an ISP that shuts off your connection randomly and doesn't compensate you? No you wouldn't. And you'd be irate at people who pointed out it was only the internet and you should go sit in a park for a bit instead of being online.
There have, however, been longer periods of instability than this, and worse periods of instability than this. So far this patch is down in the "win" column in my opinion, but if theres another EDT next Tuesday (which I've seen implied by Oveour), then that will be a large amount of time off over the past three weeks... Perhaps a Service Level Agreement shouldn't be totally out of the question - the current "we can do what we want" language is not customer-friendly.

Ever heard of Singularity? Since there is a public test cluster it wouldn't be a huge leap of faith to assume they have a private development cluster/server too.
If you actually knew anything about software development you might come close to being able to make a valid point.
