Personally just don't use them much. The OP's ideas are not very well thought out though. If he doesn't want to use one, then don't, go CR & CPR. You won't be pimped to the maximus, but neither will you need to deal with the pain in the arse of trying to keep it fed. Abaddon I won't even touch till can get some cap rigs to compensate for the sadly predictable flaws in it's desighn.

Its a temporary boost, You make hte charges too small, and all of the sudden cap rechargers are absolete.

umm shield tanks would become ridiculously powerful not obsolete if you had infinate cap.

Well, most things would need you to put injectors in your mids, leaving your lows open for like 5 reps 
Between corps atm, the NPC one is strictly a temporary thing.

Please name a race that depends on cap for both offensive and defensive capabilities. Some Gallente do but there are so many drone ships in that race that you can find one of your liking without having to worry about it. Hell, Caldari can both attack and tank with no cap usage, that is rediculous.

But to use their nber tank they need cap. Passive tank ok without it, but the active faction/officer/crystal one. It's so sweet.
