BMBE can easily salvage the situation by lowering its fee. As I have argued, the work they do by all accounts should not be as great as many other ventures in any case so its difficult to justify the large cut. If their cut were reduced share value would go back up and everyone would be alot happier.

We wouldn't be able to accept/use the character as collateral, however we could fund your purchase of a character if you had assets to use as collateral for the loan. It is planned to be used to advertise research services within my alliance, as well as allowing alliance members to put their bpo's etc up for sale. Ray, if you guys are interested, I would be happy to allow a spot on their for your own area for use with these kinds of updates, and your business setup etc. I chose www.eve-tech.net because it isn't restrictive to a corp or alliance, so wouldn't cause issues if used in a situation precisely like this one. It is still under construction but the domain has been purchased and some of the design has been handled. Food for thought. Sick of the waits with empire research slots? Use mine!
