Gee, so CCP is stupid. Please read all the Dev, GM, Polaris comments to the many container thief threads. The common pirate reply was "use secure containers."
While I happen to not agree with CCP on this, I also think JIP camping is lame but CCP say that is not either. Looks to me like he is playing within the rule of the game as supported by CCP. Filing a harassment petition because he is now playing the part of an ore thief is lame.
Looks like your corp needs to develop an ingame strategy on how to deal with this without lowering your sec rating. Whining like a carebear just makes one of the better PvP corps in the game look lame.

he messed with our containers, he knew better, he got podded. he doesn't care that he got podded, he's just a stupid alt of someone that is obsessed with me enough to get a translation of the 1st Cor. 13 verse and paste it in local.

The petition wasn't for the ore cans. I don't think he got any. The petition was to remove a pathological annoyance. We can kill him all day every day for the next three weeks, but do we really have to? Think of unsolicited email. Spam. It's an entirely permissible action in the SMTP architecture which is designed to deliver email for as long as it is sent. You can keep on deleting it, you can set up agents that automatically purge it but people should certainly be banned for it. If you have no problems with receiving spam then do give me your email address as I will refer you to some wonderful promos.

Oh this is even lamer. We were taking sec hits having to kill someone so we did the carebear thing and got Polaris to make the bad man stop.
I dont disagree that they are your cans, but under the rules of the game, it is required for you to defend them. If you take a sec hit, then find another way like everyone else has to do.
Polaris - since you concurred with EVOL that someone shooting salvage is a valid petition, please put a stop to all container thieves.

Where you're not right is that if someone spams local over and over, purposefully harasses members and tries to be as annoying as possible for around three days, one of which is 9 hours straight, it is not harassment.

He's wasn't stealing anything and he wasn't destroying/attacking anything.
All he was doing was coming back to the same region after being told to leave and if that means you have to keep killing him so be it. Its not like empty 0.3 systems are in short supply
If you ignore him what danger is he to your operations?
The smack talk/insults followed from your annoyance with him and to bring real-life insults into a game is totally unacceptable no matter how they were meant.

I think this whole thread is based on two parties just not able to deal with their actions and the outcome in game. Evol, why petition about one guy coming out and exacting revenge for the loss of his ship and skills. I would have no problem doing such if I felt the need. If Evol didn't like the constant perstering by the guy then they should have moved on.
As for the comments posted by them, who cares its a game and as such any comments about family, friends, pets and mother in laws is not valid. They don't know you or your family so who cares anyone could say anything about me and my family and I wouldn't take it to heart.
I think its a case of 2 sides clashing and not having the maturity to resolve it in game. If you are not willing to compromise on either side then put up with what is dished out. Both have the chance to move on but choose to stay and cross paths.
You want it I got it....erm unless I sold it, then some one else has it!?! :/

Ok, time for my two bits (for what they're worth).
GAC -- As far as you having been podded by Evolution pilots and losing skill points. That's YOUR problem buddy. You should have kept a closer track on your skill points and your clone contract obligations. Deal with it and move on.
As far as Evolution filing a petition about you hitting their mining operations -- can you say carebear? As for MrFixit's comment about your father and "touching", the GM team needs to pull the plug on that boy's account. There was no need for that comment. |

Why Rebellion -- that's exactly what GAC is doing to you EVO clowns and more than a handful of you are paying for it with security hits. Maybe we should all follow EVO's shallow footprints and file a harassment petition? GAC has a right to disrupt EVO mining ops just like you clowns had the right to podkill him. Game mechanics right? 3) MrFixit aka Javi drops an insult (from behind the anonymity that his ISP and this game affords him) that in RL would get him beat down so hard he'd stay on his couch for a coupla weeks. EVO'S BAD (he's flying your colors EVO boyz)

How we've handled things has worked well for the past year and will continue to work well in times to come.
Fanatique, you have ever been, if anything, a lot of wind and little substance. File a harrassment petition if you want. Nothing is preventing you from doing it.

Actually, I'm quite familiar with RL, such comments are usually shrugged off unless the one hearing them has a very short fuse and a small brain. If you seriously think such a comment would be cause for someone to actually be physically assaulted and injured and bedridden for several weeks then I guess you are one of those that would be bothered by it: short fuse, small brain.
GAC's little publicity stunt was designed to gain the support to those easily fooled. I can see that it has worked to some degree.

You're certainly welcome to follow in his footsteps. I think people dislike our being frank that if you mess with us you get destroyed. It is to your advantage that you take our word for it. We spend a great amount of effort warning people before they commit suicide. If they do not heed that warning then you have fools like GAC who then self destruct. If you would be the bigger fool and follow him then that is your choice.

You profess to be all powerful and pass on warnings of your actions before destroying someone. Yet as soon as someone decides to fight back you post a petition? I know he may be attacking you relentlessly with an alt and it is annoying but you guys being "ALL POWERFULL" should be able to deal with him without resorting to outside help?

dude we killed him just short of 40 friggin times in ONE night!! I've got 5 of his corpse's in my hanger and i didnt even fire a shot. Oh and if GAC's still reading this i found out your corpse's are worth 100 times more than you  .
Trouble is thats only 1 isk a piece.

Let me enlighten a lot of confused and I have to say silly folks who can't read the entire thread and get a real grasp of the situation.
Now then, let me see if I can sort that out.
The point is, it was me that took the security hits for repeatedly killing GAC.
Now then, am I bothered about the security loss, hrrrrm no. Those who know me, or know of me will know I have no problem with that at all.
This was not some kid going to get a clone, he made his clone at the system we are in, not a local there remember duhhh. So he could respawn there, clone activate and harrass.
So anyway he attacked an indy before I got there, after that it was target/lock/kill/pod.
Rinse that and repeat that for 3 days.
I was quite willing to kill the pathetic alt till doomsday, it made no difference to me at all.
Do you people see a pattern here?
I know im right in saying it's premeditated And, it took him 3 days pestering to make 1 bad comment in local from one of our members, then what do we see. Mass flames on forum.
If people are pushed and pestered long enough, they will lash out. That is a simple fact of the game. Could you last 3 days of the same thing?
P.S: When we did lock him down, he just self destructed, got a new n00b ship and came back.

Could you not have locked him down when he came out looking. I am sure it wouldn't have been too hard with him in a frigate. After a short time he would have got bored of not being able to do anything and left you alone?
