After 3 tries, and having the same loader issues others experienced upthread, I was finally able to log in.
I undocked to start a mission, warped to mission and became stuck, unable to move or even warp back to the station, although I could still rotate the camera around my ship.
After a few minutes, I took a chance and shut down EVE...yeah, I know, insane with my ship in space at a mission location, but I had no choice. I logged back in...which is very slow, by the way, was insta-warped back to the mission location and became stuck again. This occurred 3 times before I gave up. Note that I am on a Mac and because I was unable to log out had to force quit the game.
Also, after logging in, I noticed that everything now has a slight lag.
I think I will give up for a while until whatever this is is sorted out by CCP. |

We've just made a number of changes to try and ease the issues.
If you've been having launcher issues up to now, please give it another shot. |

I am legitimately sick of CCP's pathetic launcher/updates. Last few patches have had to do clean installs to fix the problem. This time nothing works. Reinstall still stuck on 0.0% and won't continue to update, repair tool fails.
Why have a repair tool if it's not going to work? Pathetic. |

Once again unable to update my launchers after a patch. Same thing happened yesterday and after a few hours of fruitless effort suddenly they started working normally.
Today, same BS all over again. I've got 6 clients set up (and the same 6 set up on a different computer) - in each and every case when I open the launcher it freezes at "Initializing" and after a long delay spits an error message that reads:
The Server you are connecting to could not be reached.
Please check your internet settings and restart the EVE Launcher.
The URL that could not be reached was:
http://cdn1.eveonline.com/958007/RepairData_958007.dat
I tried running the Repair.exe. It tells me there is a newer version and would I like to update it. I say yes. It starts doing it's thing and then it quits with an error message.
I tried reinstalling the launcher using the link on the Customer Support page. After a dozen tries the file finally downloads from the "cdn" site. I run it, it completes and runs the launcher.
Which then sits there frozen at "Initializing" until throwing the same error message as before.
It's the exact same story for each copy of the client, on each computer.
It appears that the entire problem has something to do with the "cdn" site and the programs being unable to access the files from there.
What was changed with this latest Galatea "expansion" I don't know, but the problems didn't start until yesterday's expansion update and today's patch. |

Today's first bug out of the undock...
In mission combat areas, shows many things marked with the hashed edged box as Destructable Object is marked on things such as Debris and Snake Shaped Asteroid that are not destroyable. This is on both the overview tabs along with the items themselves in space. I can target, but I cannot damage with any turret or any drone (wanted to see if i could make debris into debris-bitlets then salvage the bits! nope). This will cause some irritation in missions where destroying a certain object is part of the completion process as every single thing in the area is marked so the real target is blending into the overview clutter and graphics in space. The clutter appearance when warping in from Everything marked (and mostly marked incorrectly) does not help with focus.
Did submit a bug report, now wondering when the newest sniffed out bug will get smooshed back to correct operation.
Day two of "I'm one lucky gal", no Launcher issues..... yet!

Somehow someone must have figured it out as I see there are 19k(+) logged into the game now.
Almost 4 hours of repeated attempts to patch, trying to get the Repair.exe to actually run, reinstalling the launcher, clearing caches and rebooting with no luck.
I suppose I should say "InB4 all the gankers start whining that they are being denied soft targets because so many potential victims are unable to patch and log in" !

Yesterday, the launcher was stuck at 0.0%. I used someone else's patch file, and was able to log in.
Problem: each and every time I needed to restart the client (or another clientsince I have 3 TQ clients and 1 SiSi one), I had to import the patch file again. And every time, the launcher was trying to download 3.91 GB of data at a very slow pace.
I tried the rescache.exe tool:

So my guess is something on the CCP side messed with the client-side cache during the update process of Galatea, since there was no problem Monday.
And the download speed is still slow as hell.
Or maybe, since the KF2 beta update is also 3.9 GB, Tripwire and CCP tried something strange  |

Since Galatea has been deployed i have an Issue with all Cosmic Anomalies.
Before the last Patch you was able to approach it like a Beacon but now theres nothing anymore.

Was having the black screen problem. Launcher would update and when I clicked play the program would go thru the correct routine and play the intro movie then it went to black screen, I would have to use task manager to shutdown the game. I tried the launcher settings to clear cache and settings but that didn't work either.
Even uninstalled and reinstalled several times, no help there either. then for some reason I decided to go into my directories where the cache and setting folders were and I manually deteted both of them. Restarted the game and was at the char screen and have been playing since yesterday. |

The launcher succesfully downloaded the missing files for the cache, and my two other TQ clients downloaded the patch withno further problem.
To be able to play:
1/ Download this file.
2/ Import it in the launcher.
3/ Enjoy the game.
Once you did that, let the launcher download the missing shared cache files. The download speed is painfully slow, but once it's done it's all good. |

When hovering over the sensor strength in the fittings window, it always reads 'gravimetric', regardless of race. Didn't notice this before the patch, but I can't say I do it frequently. |

This has gone beyond ridiculous CCP, figure out the launcher issue already. Have you identified the problem? Replicated the problem? Is it patch related, network related? Can those affected expect a resolution today or will we be left in the dark yet another day while you wait for the pizza? smh, pathetic customer service. |

I still am unable to play, for every time i try to update, the launcher gets stuck at less than 40%,.
But worse is, that it also completely kills my internet connection... which means i cannnot let the slow DLs run in the background, for i need my PC for some other tasks, too.

I can play, but I noticed an issue on the launcher, and as far I can remember was not just today:
when there's a new patch the launcher appears stuck on 0.0% and progress bar is not moving
after a while the bar jumps directly from 0 to 100% and "PLAY" button lights up.
is a bit annoying, because is not possible to understand if is doing something or is completely stalled |

None of the files downloaded for rescache. All failed.
I went in to the ...\Eve\Launcher\Cache directory and deleted the contents. Running the Launcher got me "client Ready" but still an incompatible build error on the client.
I opened the Launcher and cleared the cache via the settings menu (Settings>Advanced>Clear all cached data). That worked. I'm in! |

Unfortunately (eh-hem) it's working now, so I can't grab the exact error messages.
It would check for corrupt and missing.
Find 0 corrupt, 13 missing.
Start downloading the files, I could see 13 different files of various sizes downloading by watching the logs on my router.
Then rescache.exe would give a failed to download message.
Looked to me like the files downloaded but maybe failed to verify.
As soon as I worked around a transparent proxy it all came good just by using the launcher, so I'm guessing the proxy had a broken copy of something required. |
