You know what would be really nice.
1. Having some sort of estimate on how long things are going to be down.
2. Having someone mention to me that this sort of thing happens when EVE is patched.
3. If anyoneÆs ship is destroyed as a result of this issue, the admins drop one in a hanger for them... (although I would put in on the other side of the galaxy for them to pick up because I'm like that) :D
4. If the server didn't let anyone log in, in the first place for 24 hours upon patch release so as no one gets boned.
I know, # 3 is a stretch, but wouldnÆt it be nice :D

Reminds me of the salvaging / rigging disaster where everything was nerfed at a factor of 100 as well.

You dont pay for your newspaper to be delivered every morning, and only to have it delivered at 5:00 in the afternoon, youd be downright p****d, so why shouldnt we be?
We pay for this service, and after all this time, we still have to put up with bull s*** lag all the time, node crashes, and finally patch day screw ups, say what you want but if im paying for it i expect a service in return. If this was in Australia id just refer them to the ACCC (consumer affairs) and be done with it.
