The patch deployment, when every player with enough isk to spare grabbed one of the new BC/BS's from the shelves?

you missed the prices of Trit and pyer going up as well as Mex.
Low mins demand on the rise push prices makes building more expensive means you pay more for yer Ships. ---------------------------------

Most likely relate to the price spike in minerals caused by all the new ships getting built. It'll come back down.

Its lows that are going up. And I think its probably a long term change.
CCP banned somthing like 120 macro / bot accounts about a week and a half ago. What you are noticing is a large number of macro'ers that are no longer mining. Literally about 200 barges are not working 23/7 anymore.

Yay, death to the macro ****nuts. If you want minerals, mine them yourselves. Or mine with guns; did you know 99% of all ship modules require some trit, and that all rats drop some modules when killed? ----------------------------

Indeed where did you get that from? If it's true, I'd just like to say: thank you CCP.

With so many wars going on and people getting insurance payouts, the isk pool is getting bigger which is causing inflation. Anyway why are you buying a raven in empire? You should build them in 0.00 with high ends you mine and reprocess the junk modules from ratting for the low ends.

With a patch releasing new ships and a fresh drop of t2 bpos a run on minerals and subsequently higher ship prices is completely predictable. The market will adjust because that is what markets do.

You can prolly buy your own minerals on market and make your own cheaper. I havent researched the raven but the typhoon is unusually spiked and its not mineral cost its the lack of production competition. Mineral cost + BP at market on a typhoon was near 70 million. I sold one last night at 81.5 million in about 30 minutes. Thats only possible because roleplaying producers have been drawn off I think. So in the meantime train your efficiency to 4, use the contract system to find a BPC, and check the cost on raven and see if you can make it quickly and profitably. Or just buy it for 120 million~ Opportunity cost is a mofo'r

Not really. With mex being priced so high, you'll see that 120 is actually at cost. Unamed T1 market is stupid that way in jita, people sell things at costs or very minimal profit. Only way you're going to make any decent money manufactoring is either t2 or capital ship.

sorry I'm not making fun of your surprise M8.. but here is the concrete result of so MANY people screaming "WTF BAN MACRO MINERS!!" bla bla..posts.. mining is about as fun as watching your cat shed fur.... hence not many are doing it to the extent that there is ship demand for minerals.. and so the price will go up and up... at least for the base mins like Trit, pyr and mex.. IMO..
The irony of this thread is truly delicious...

Edited by: Qutsemnie on 14/12/2006 23:28:35 You're generalizing, and im saying if you look at the specifics for some reason at moment that is just not true.
Here use this: http://www.gbnetwork.co.uk/eve/
I did. I used price for minerals of at the moment what could I buy to produce a raven at this second. (ie real prices not dream prices). And I calculate a 106.8 million raven production cost using forge mineral prices not counting BPC. One KEY thing to understand in this mineral market is its easier to secure one run of BS minerals at reasonable prices then 20 runs.
Item Raven Item ME 30 My PE 4 Runs 1 Tritanium 7,982,180 Pyerite 1,995,960 Mexallon 500,017 Isogen 124,846 Nocxium 31,175 Zydrine 7,437 Megacyte 2,374 Morphite 0 Total Build Cost 106,863,156.90 Unit Build Cost 106,863,156.90

I think the mission nerf plays a role in price increases as well. There were a lot of guys cutting in their mission space to avoid can theft. That is mostly over now, so this one supply stream drying up.
Also since you canĘt mission run or mine in secure space, it really only leaves moving to 0.0. And if you are going to mine in 0.0, you are not going to cut Veldspar. Thus you see an increased supply of Megac, Zyd and Noxc (lower prices) and a deceased supply of low-end mins.
New ships, new modules, less production of raw materials the net effect is higher prices. ArenĘt basic economics fun !!

A battleship costs about 8 decent missions for me. Mex/Py/Trit can go to 10k/unit. I don't care. A battleship still costs about 8 decent missions.
Actually, that was not constructive to the thread but I feel it needs pointing out anyway. __
