I don't know what CCP is going to give us this year, but I do know what they got. They got a forum full of ungrateful people demanding something for Christmas. You people don't want a gift, you feel you have some right to something that's being held back from you today.
Check your hangers for 1 unit of coal.

People are rightly disappointed because while we did expect to get something we were also told that "something in the works" and to wait till Christmas. So Christmas rolls around and nothing? So yes, people do feel as if we were promised something that was held back from us.
Had CCP said weeks ago "Sorry, we didn't have time for anything special this year, have fun with your family!" that'd been just fine. But they didn't. That's why people are disappointed.
I'd have been happy with 1 unit of Coal to be honest.

Aye, if you go by the Blizzard/SOE "Monthly Subscriptions Don't Pay for Expansion Content" Model, then EVE expansions are free.

I was there last night handing out stuff. Will be there on and off today too (just have to make sure the family sees me enough to pass as 'being here' for Xmas).
