I guess CCP has just been very busy with Kali this year to have any time to work on something, or that nobody told TomB about his role  .
Anyhow things are not all bad we have good things coming soon this year with Kali 2/3 and all the speculation of the next major patch to come  .

Hum, to many unhappy ppl against receiving gifts. I wonder why? Did they never got the pony when they were kids or what? Some even go with the clasical "meaning of christmas" argument. Dudes, try not giving a present to your kid and then tell him all the "meaning of christmas" thing. Or better, do that to your wives and then post the results.
CCP didn't gave us anything, probably cuz they didn't had the time this year. I know if they could, they would.

I was so hoping for a corpse launcher ...
Now what am I going to do with these station containers full of bodies ...
I mean I spent weeks cleaning up Syndicate when no one was looking ..
And if Santa got hijacked in Jita .. the corpse launcher should make a sound like a potatoe launcher .. and a nice crisp splat on impact ..

So true, and we are the customers that hand our money to CCP so they can get those gifts for their wives/children so as not to have to do the whole "meaning-of-chritsmas-which-frankly-dosent-do-it-anymore-in-a-consumer-based-social-system" kind of thing...

Why would they ?
Last year it was a total "free move" from the team. Now it changed : people are asking.
Last year's gift wasn't promised as a due. It was A GIFT.
Now all people that keep asking like childs are fanboys. To them, a little guess : what do you offered to CCP this christmas ? Nothing ? That's what you can expect from them (imho, it's quite just like it is).

I GUARANTEE you there would be people on these forums saying 'Who cares about stupid Xmas presents? Why don't you fix lag, invention, salvaging, exploration, Amarr, forum portraits, (insert whine here) first!
IMO this is the reason there is no Xmas gifts this year... there are so many other things that are more important.

Well, i don't know about the rest of you, but personally i was refunded a ship i lost due to a client crash about a week ago. All things considering, especially the fact that i cannot really 'prove' there was a bug that crashed my client (perhaps logs show this?), i consider that a 'gift'.

As i posted on another forum.
people asking for a present are not sad, they arent asking for too much, its the thought that counts on christmas, if the thought was there last christmas but it wasnt this christmas, then i feel theres an obvious degradation in there thoughts on the community,
For the same reasons the pope doesent allow abortion of euthanasia i feel ccp not giving a gift is the start of a downward spiral of Developer-Consumer relations.
