Reading these replies it seems to me that large part of "wife aggro" is about you doing something fun that your spouse can't be a part of.

I've been married a long time, and given that my wife is a reformed gamer, she totally understands my Eve needs.
That being said, I'd better not be ingame if something significant needs to be dealt with. I.E. Kids in town the past week |

Yeah... this is my case...
I have tried to get her into it. Even had her make her own character in the new creator tool. She refused to even undock in a ship. She looks at EVE as the other woman, lol. |

Maybe they need to just rename EVE to EARL so she doesn't think of it as "another woman" |

I am married with a 17mo old son. My wife has a for-fun part-time evening job at a local coffee shop, so I am taking care of our kid 4 nights/week after work and gym. I get absolutely ZERO crap for spending time playing vids/watching shows |

Dang.
My girlfriend loves to read, and often gets lost in a book while I'm playing. She doesn't get the video games thing, but she understands it's something I enjoy. As long as I'm not melting my brain away all day long or neglecting my responsibilities around the house, we're good.
She even made me a chili and cheese omelet last night while I was waiting on an op formup
Sitting down and figuring out where the boundaries are can go a long way. You need time for you, she needs time for her, and its nice to respect each other's interests. |

That's what scares me...she doesn't seem to actually need anytime for herself. Her hobby is me and the kids.

Thankfully my wife is totally cool with how much time I play. She can get annoyed at my "other woman" sometimes when I'm in the middle of a fleet op and take forever to help do something, but most other times she's chill.

I find this is the best thing we did. We sat down and went through all of our likes and dislikes. When EVE came up, that is when my wife decided that she would just have her Wii time while I play. The only caveat was that I work toward getting Plex in-game to try to offset the RL cost. |

There is no shortage of women out there who operate under the idea that anything the man of the house thinks of or does, it's dumb or a bad idea. You can thank years of TV depicting husbands and dads as idiots and morons.
My GF gets irritated when I don't play enough. Of course I too also make sure everything else is done, hence often there is much not getting done on time and so I don't get to play. She takes responsibility for that, though it's not always (and seldom is) her fault. There is a lot to do for both as us on our small farm.
What irks me most is that there are a lot of women out there who will tolerate a man who just has to go to the pub every night, or be glued to the TV, or hide in the garage, but something as cheap and safe as an MMO gets especially frowned on. Perhaps it's not "manly" enough?
In the end, I have observed in these cases, there is really deep-seated hate going on or it's a case of a woman who is more of the pants-wearing type (translation: control freak with boobs - and they want to wear the pants but play the woman card when it's time to put up with the chaffing) who will make trouble over an MMO every time, but an equal waste of time that was her idea is OK. |

Age is irrelevant. One thing I have learned... foreplay starts hours or even days before intercourse. You gotta WOO her. Mine is easily Wooed thank God. I do a lot of the housework, almost all of the cooking and I'm a proactive Dad.... all things she says turn her on. |

Get her hooked on any "female friendly" game like the sims or Farmville or into EVE.. or just start to look weird at her when she is doing things for her own like watching Oprah , top model etc |

Lol, wooing her doesn't do anything...she's not into foreplay either, she'd rather just **** than **** around with being all romantic and ****.
I do most of the cleaning, pay all the bills etc...dunno if I'd want to start foreplay weeks in advance :P |

My husband got me into gaming. My husband got me into Eve as well. Although he no longer plays it, he plays another game that we play together, although some days that I'm not on LOTRO I'm on Eve. He's easy to read when it comes to time to be off the off the computer. But we also have teenagers, so it's not like we have to be supervising every minute, either. Dinner gets cooked, kids get dealt with, and we're happy with this arrangement. |

I have been playing vampire wars and mafia wars on facebook, (ok yes also happy aquarium, treasure madness, social city....) even violence based games like that get very tired very soon. try to find her a good real computer game if you want your bliss to last. I can't advise since I really like "boygames". |
