*****Cockpit of my Dominix*****
Minding my own business, really! I turned on the*****pit vidscreen, channel-surfed until I ran across two young, well-tanned and nubile Minmatar women relieving themselves of the skimpy, yet excessive clothing cluttering their perfect forms. It would seem that the ISK invested into my new 76" Holographically Enhanced Vidscreen was well spent. I grinned as I reached into a side compartment for lu * KA-BOOM*!!!
I lurched out of my chair, cursing viciously as a series of explosions rocked my beloved ship. Klaxons started blaring and my control panel lit up in an ominous shade of blood red as I leapt to my command console to activate my defensive modules. Looking out the*****pit window confirmed the suspicions beginning to nag at me. Jim SJ! My shields collapsed as another round of torpedoes thundered against my Dominix from his Navy Issued Raven. I spared a glance at the action heating up on my vidscreen before thumbing it off. Jim would pay for the interruption.
Power thrummed through my capacitor as energy surged into my armor repairers, a faint blue aura emenating from my hull as I worked my ship through its regenerative paces to counter the initial surprise attack. Another round of torpedoes crashed into my hull, sparks flying from my control panel and the klaxons abruptly cutting off as a fuse somewhere blew out. The sudden quiet was interrupted by my unsteady May-Day call. "Any mercenaries in system, I am under attack and seek immediate assistance!" My reply came in a burst of static and a fourth and fifth volley of torpedoes that unerringly exploded into my hull. I strapped myself into my seat and wiped blood from my cheek, muttering "Time to play ****er"
I turned my behemoth towards Jim SJ to close into slugging range. Torpedoes continued to pummel into my armor as I counted the distance down on my tactical overview. 100km...90km...80km...70km... ....what's this? A flash of light burst across my screen as three more pilots entered the fray. 4EnDeR in an Armageddon, Ed Fontana in a Drake, and Anvorr in...a second Navy issue Raven? I hailed the three pilots across communication frequencies requesting assistance, and was answered with a series of flashing yellow brackets in my overview as the newcomers locked onto my warhorse. Spears of pulsing red light shot out from the Armageddon, scorching across my hull, sending cascades of sparks flashing across my viewscreen as the other two missile ships opened up with volleys of their own.
Still closing with Jim, angrily flaring light arced towards his Raven as my Nosferatu and Neutralizers found his capacitor. I spared a quick glance at my armor -- still holding. I closed to 10km, looking for the telltale flicker of a shield booster to die with his capacitor, time slowing to an agonizing crawl as I watched multiple volleys of missiles screaming in on me. THERE! With a final pulse, his shield booster went out. I simultaneously activated my warp scramler and reached down to toggle my favorite switch in universe, adrenaline surging through my veins as my beloved Dominix shuddered under the impact of the continued volleys and the focused beams spearing into my ship.
The doors to my drone boy ground open and my lovingly kept brood swept into the gulf of space, their localized electonic communications blending in with the static coming from my communications array. I glared across the gulf of space at Jim SJ, praying that he would repent his aggression in these last seconds of life.

and I *HAVE* a corp. Deep Corp Mining Inc. =) There's a 0% tax rate, which fits my miserly scrooge persona very well.

Its all in the fittings Mr. Robbie.
*EDIT* Kyreax, I have a modified Dominix without a pod. Stick a ship in a station, install a jump clone there, jump into it, and hop in the ship. Presto no pod. =) You get an agility boost for the additional ability to control your ship with hands on command as opposed to the neural interfaces through your pod.

Great read! Question though, what's your setup? I'm toying with Quickfit to try and cram some stuff, but the powergrid is just too damn limited.

I feel like this is what happens when idiots can get Navy Ravens. Honestly, who the hell can lose to a domi w/ 2 CNR's that are supposedly faction fitted?? Ugh.

i have flown domi for the past 2 years and i know the dmg 2x navy raven and a geddon can do.
suppose a torp setup with torp 5 and standard torps with caldari bs 4 and 3x BCU ll then the ravens will each be throwing out arround 700DPS each add in a geddon which to have a tank was prob fitted with dual heavy pulse would be throing out about 400-600 dps add in a drake and add in drones then there is no way you would be able to tank them. and you are only putting out a max of 465 dps with maxed skills
i suppose you are running 2x large repper 3x EANM, RCU and dmg control then running 3x heavy nos and some neuts. on paper there is no way you should have won with competant pilots behind the ravens geddon and drake but it looks as though you came across a bunch of noobs

Great story, well written and if (as presumed) its a a true rendition rather than based on a true story or a fictional account congratz but I guess the mods and ship are all teh gratz you need :)

Wonderful story!
I'll offer that I don't care whether all of it's true as long as it's entertaining.
For instance, I could consider for a moment that you may have been misguiding us about the afterburner and a Nanodominix may just have been able to pull it off.
