tiller MAFIA Pirate Coalition	Posted - 2006.12.30 16:27:00 - [1] Been experimenting today with improving on my old solo hauler ganking scorp. It's now obsolete.... Ship: Drake Highs: 7 * Limos Heavy with Scourge, 1 * Med Dim Nos Mid: 4 * 20km disrupt, 1 * Sensor booster II, 1 * Large shield booster II Low: 1 * Sensor Amp, 2 * PDU II, 1 * DCU II Rigs: 1 * em, 1 * kin, 1 * therm Implants: low grade crystals but not needed The ship tanks sentrys quite well considering it has no mid slot hardeners, though you have to leave shield booster on a lot. Resists at lvl3 bc are 48, 70, 69, 58 with a scan res of 430. Rigs make all this possible..... The only thing the scorp had to it's advantage was the heavy neuts to kill MWDs.. screenshot of the madness Haulers are VERY easy, transports tough if they are awake... but coupled with a webbing gang m8 it's devastating. This ship made 310m isk in first 2hr camp :D, a BIG wtf moment for the stabbed up victim. Ok ok , very obvious setup... but just pointing out with rigs you can really start dropping tanking mods and adding fun stuff. Happy days

I try crawling back to the gate and Mr Ferox changes course, I thought he would go for a bump. So I lock him, turns out his shields are dropping faster than mine.. I shout "RANSOM PLEASE RANSOM PLEASE OMG" in local hoping he would stay thinking I would pay him, in the end he warped off with 50% hull leaving me warping to the next gate with 80% shield :D Totally passive setup. I still don't think warp to 0 is good for eve. I think most don't like it but just think it's 'cool' to say warp to 0 is good for PVP. I'll try and put things into perspective a bit. As a Pirate: If there were two targets available, a Hauler and lets say, a BC and I could only choose to engage one of them, it would obviously be the Hauler. Not because I dislike challenges but because I'm after the Hauler's cargo, if it has any. As a Non-Pirate (who is not interested in ISK): Same scenario, I would engage the BC for the challenge and for the fight. Going for Haulers as a Pirate is not only logical, but its exactly what Pirates of history (and modern day) do as well. If I were Pirating on the Seas and my look-out spotted a Merchant vessel, heavily laden with goods, my mouth would start to water. In history, when a Pirate looted a Merchant, I doubt the sailors on the Merchant ship said "You evil Pirates should go pick on someone your own size, someone who can fight back!" Hope this clears up some of those very strangely warped concepts/perspectives.
